Hello all,

This is a requested tutorial of a picture I posted on my instagram (@twistncoils) and facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/twistncoils). PLEASE RATE COMMENT AND SUBSRCIBE for the hard work and my lovely daughter being so patient during the recording process.

I hope you find this tutorial helpful, this was a little hard to explain than I thought. The products I used on my daughters hair was Nubian Kinks styling pomade. The design for this style is referred to as the criss cross but with the added twist in the top we like to call it "the pineapple".

Directions:

Basically starting out you leave out hair in the beginning then make a braid and then leave hair out again. This is the pattern to create this style, when leaving hair be sure not to make the hair left out the same length as the braid. Once you've completed the pattern going all the way across where a braid is in-between the hair that is left out, then you make a part in the opposite direction of the way you created the first pattern of braids and hair left out........Here you have to braid over those braids to the other side and you'll repeat those steps and the criss cross design will form. Once you've competed the back then you could either add twist in the front as I did or whatever style you prefer.

Below I am just explaining another way:

In the beginning section off a diagonal corner of the hair going in the direction that you prefer and clip this hair out the way it will be used later. Now do your first braid next to that section going in the same direction, then take and part off another section not going to the edge or the top completely (kind of in the middle) but a little ways up and clip out the way as well, then for the next braid part from the top to the bottom and make a braid and this will be your pattern until you reach the other side. Once first section of diagonal braids are complete then you part over the hair that has been left out in the opposite direction and you could connect it to the sides using the same pattern explained above or leave it in the back.Thank you for watching!!!!!!!

Hello - everyone listen cold here today, I'm doing a tutorial on this style that me and my daughter called the pineapple so to achieve this tile. Basically, you want to leave some hair out in between each braid to create a crisscross effect. So you see there's a braiding between each one, so we start out no braid, braid, no braid and then a braid. So when you're doing this, you don't want to take no braid all the way down. You want to leave at about 1/4 of an inch from the bottom, because we're going to actually take that across the credit crisscross effect and it could be a square design instead of a triangle like I did. Mine was kind of diagonal, but you can make it as clear. Well here, I'm actually braiding the hair up, and you see I left a piece of hair out and not all the way down so the bottom. What other Brady is but kind of like a little piece of waste you and it doesn't have to be dead and I'm doing her diagonal, because, just like that shape of a pineapple local or the correct cross suspects, it could be straight up. You can do it eat either way and it'll still look good. So here I'm showing you that I believe I left hair out in between each braid. You braids no braid, braid no Brie. So that's how we started out with twist achieve this out and now I'm showing you that I've completed the row, and now you see that I've made a part that I didn't leave on the opposite direction and it'll still same thing. You see there, no braid braid! No braid braid and then you see I've already made a part at the bottom going diagonally the other way, so you can create the crisscross face you the opposite direction up toward the front of the head and I'm not going to bring it all the way to The end because I plan to join it later and you'll see how I do that. So here is kind of almost it's almost finished, so you can see that I'm parting in between each braids that I had before across then you can see the crisscross design. Now now, for me, I'm trying to get it straight as possible going across and it's a little bit difficult because you're actually going in between those other braids, so you haven't kind of part over them without interrupting that brain. You, okay! Well, here I'm showing you what I'm actually, I'm actually gon na start connecting with a braid that I had in the back to the front. So I'm doing the same stuff, I'm actually creating the world going up on the side of the head, leaving hair out. Just like I did the back so right here, I'm showing you that I'm actually taking that braid that I had at the back and actually bringing it always all the way to the front of the head. Well, there you can see how they'll fit with the kind of get is straighten. Those squares so doesn't have a deeper seat, because they're still looks nice either way, so just taking that braid always to the front of the head and not going to braid it all. The way because I'm actually gon na, take and join it so repeating the same step on the next high braiding across and this one's a little bit different, because I'm actually taking that braid and braiding it up. First and leaving hair on the out on opposite sides. Some braid up so now, here's the finish almost a finished product, but back in that five that I've joined together and braid it up to the new you I actually taken leave in herre and between each braid and braiding it up for the middle of the head. As well you so now I have all the go back finish and all I have is a middle section left. So now you can see how the design is kind of like crisscross, okay or, as we call it, the pineapple so in the front of the statics. Adjusting mini twist now I do my Manny looks a little different, especially for her, so she likes to play in her head. So I actually start platting a little bit away and then I just twist the rest of the way down you and here is the finished product. So you have both crisscross put back in the back and twist in the front, and I apologize for the frame being small at my camera died, so I actually use my sister's phone and turned the wrong way. So now you see how the frontiers we have mini foot forum, pretty much to one side that one would not go to that side and I didn't want to use a bobby pin on her on a kids hair, so yeah. So you can see not too many mini twists, but it's a couple and I did them a little bit better. You and you can see how they came out thanks for watching you
