Crochet Braids Tutorial Using Marley Braid Hair

Hello loves,

So I'm in protective style mode! I'm loving the curl pattern of my crochet braids. This has got to be the most natural style I've ever seen with weave. I hope you enjoy this video

I used almost 2 packs of the black and 1 pack of the brown.

Hello, everyone, its Kendra here, Miskin K and welcome back to my channel. So it's been about 4 weeks since I've uploaded a video. I'Ve just been super busy, but I'm so excited to bring you guys this video of how I was able to achieve this wonderful curl pattern on my crochet braids. So if you would love to see how I was able to create this gorgeous, look, please keep watching. So this is my braid pattern that I use. I decided to braid the front across because I wanted to hear to fall towards my face and then I just braided the rest of the hair going back. I am using Molly braid hair and this hair is actually by a company called jazz wave and the colors that i got is t1b 350, which is a brownish red color. And then I got a 1b, which is the black color. So you'll need a latch hook. Tool such as this one to install your crochet braids, you can get this at any beauty supply store, so I'm going to start by grabbing a piece of the marley hair, i'm going to cut it in half, because i know what this hair too long. Now then, i'm going to simply separate the hair and brush it out and i'm going to make sure that the ends are tapered. So now i'm going to show you guys how I install the hair, it's really simple. You have to use the latch hook to pull it through your hair, attach the marley hair to the latch hook, pull it back through your corn roll and then secure it. So I'm going to repeat these steps all throughout my hair, so once you've added all of the hair, you should get something that looks like this: a very big full afro. This is a gorgeous style that you can wear as well, but the next step is to add the rods to add a little curl definition. So I'm going to start by separating my hair into the sections that I want a rod, I'm going to add some shea butter whip, and I got this from. I love my fro and I'm going to detangle this hair as well. It'S very important that you detangle, because when we go to separate the curls, we don't want to run into any tangles that could cause frizz. So this is the way that I've rotted my hair. It'S very important that you use small rods in order to get this curl definition. You want to wrap the hair around the rods very tightly and very close together, because that's going to give you that twist out, look that you want. So, as you can see here, I am just wrapping the hair around and I'm making sure that it's close together and the loops are not separated. And then I'm going to repeat these steps on the remaining sections of my hair. So because this is synthetic hair riding, it is simply not enough to obtain any curl, so we're going to have to add some heat to it. So we're going to be dipping this in to scorching hot water, now make sure that you have a container with a handle, because I don't want you guys to burn yourself. So all that you do is take the rod and dip it into the hot water. For about seven to ten seconds, pull it out and then Pat it dry. Now, as you can see, I have the purple rods in my hair. Now, I'm just showing you guys how it looks when you roll the hair on the rod, the exact same way using a larger rod. The curl pattern comes out very different and it's more like a spiral instead of like a twist out look. So I did this little test to see which way I wanted to go, and I decided to use the smaller rods alright, so we are all rotted up and I have dipped every single rod into the hot water. So now it's time to take them down. I usually let the rod stay in for about five minutes, but actually it doesn't matter once you've blot them dry. You can take them down right away. So now I'm just going to take the rods down and separate the curls to my liking into my fullness. To maintain the curl definition, I simply put my hair up in a pineapple. Now you will have to rewrite this hair. These curls will not stay the full two months that you that you keep your crochet braids in. You will have to do some rewriting because these curls do fall after about four days, so you will have to rewrite your hair. If you want to keep the look, however, I do like it. I do love the look when the curls are stretched out and it has a little frizz to it. So it looks even more natural. So once I'm done separating the curls, I'm just going to go back through and look for any tangles or knots on the ends and simply cut those off and then I'm just going to lay my edges with the cream of nature. Perfect edges edge control. So, as you can see the method of rolling the hair on the rods, the way that I did gave me a beautiful twist outlook. I mean this looks so natural, like it's coming straight from the root of my head. I love this protective style so much and I think I'm going to be wearing it for a while. I cannot wait to show you guys how else I'll be styling this hair, these crochet braids, because I have a lot of unique ideas. So I cannot wait to upload that video to show you all, but let me know what you think about this style in the comments below. Thank you guys so much for watching. I love you and appreciate you, and I will see you on my next video bye.

BrieLovesTea: I'm really starting to like this hairstyle! at first I was a little skeptical because I was unsure of how it will turn out. Quinita McCullars: Fantastic tutorial and I even found the exact hair you used and a brand similar with additional colors!! I can't wait!!! I'm doing this style this weekend Couple Quick questions about the rodding. I have the exact skinny rods you used already in my possession and I plan on using those as you instructed. However, I want my hair a bit longer than how you did yours, can you please explain how I should twist the hair around the rod to ensure I get the same curl definition as yours?? Also, can I also use skinny flexi rods to achieve the curl definition as well??

Kshysincere: I love this hairstyle i can't wait to try it
