Ponytail With Hair Chains! (And How To Make Them!!)

Thankyou so much for watching!

I searched wholesale necklaces on eBay to buy the chains

I got my inspiration from https://www.instagram.com/viola_pyak/?... for the style

Hi everyone, its Beth Nursery, sucks, hair and welcome back to another tutorial, so on Instagram. Lately, I've been seeing a lot of these, so these are hair chains had a little look to buy a son nearly died at the price. So I thought you know what I'm gon na make my own, so I'm gon na be doing a style today using hair chains, and I'm also going to show you how to make your own. So, let's get started. Okay, so I've one of these hair chains to sit in a sort of arc. Okay, I've seen this done quite a few times on Instagram. I will put the link into the video that I saw and but I just really wanted to show you guys. I thought it was just such an interesting technique, so, in order to make these chains stay in the hair, we need to sort it in the hair. If I was just to put a grip down, it's just gon na slide its way down. So the way that we're going to do that is we're going to put a little braid, but I don't want to breed to build across. I want it to start sort of hearing from upwards and then back along, and we also don't want to see the braid. So I'll show you how we're gon na do that, so I'm just kind of sectioned off the hair and just put a little bit from each side forward. So it's this middle section that I'm going to be working with and then I'm going to get my comb and I'm gon na guide. My comb where I want that arc to sit. So don't worry if you don't get it first time, I'm not very good at this. It'S definitely something that I need to practice, but I'll get them in the end. So I'm gon na go off and I'm just gon na ask Lucy if she will hold that section of hair okay. So now what I want to do is make sure that I'm the same on the other side, so I've just kind of you used my fingers from there and had a little look and I need to hit here so I know from this point here. I need to just make a little rounded arch shape to that finger and be short, she says, be fairly even there. So now what you're gon na do is exactly the same again, maybe like a centimeter, a centimeter and a half width we're gon na give ourselves. So now don't forget, this is going to be hidden. So don't panic too much about it being perfect, just gon na pin that up my way, guys come down to this sides and do the same next. I just might get to put a little pony here to keep this hair out your way and we're also gon na tie your that front section as well. So I'm gon na release this bit down. That'S the bit that we're worried in just spray a bit of dry wax right guys. It'S just been a little bit staticky and some hair does, when you kind of mess with it so that dry, wax spray is just going to sort of tain that hair and next we're going to do a little braid here. So some people call it Dutch braid or cornrow or micro, braid or basically just any braid, nice and tight, and that's what we're going to be pinning those chains into. So I'm not really worried about this breed being neat guys, okay and just put in nice and tight nice and quick cuz. This is what we will be attaching those chains to so I'm gon na do a Dutch braid. I think you would work with a little tiny French brie too, if you don't know how to Dutch braid. That'S fine, I'm just gon na take that braid just down a little bit, and hopefully the rest of the hair is going to hide this pulling up this ponytail here it gon na put the top one as well. Okay guys so I just can feel and just see a tiny bit of that edge of the braid. So what I'm gon na do is just a teeny bit of backcomb, either side and just here so just making sure guys that you are just brush. You know over that back home and there we go now. We can't see where that breathes sitting at all. So all you're gon na do now guys is just really carefully put the rest of this hair into a low ponytail. Then I'm just going to cover this elastic berries by wrapping a piece of hair around pinched him holding that round the back and then getting a small elastic, pull in Lucy's very thick hair. If he goes through twice my half yes go and just switch that up and there we go okay, guys so, like I said, a may intro I'm gon na be using hair chains today. So this is basically what I'm gon na be putting into Lucy's hair. Now I hope, like I said I went online and they were dead, expensive, I'm sure they're worth the money, I'm sure they're like me, maybe the sill. There are something, but I thought no, I'm not spending like a hundred dollars on one hair chain. So I decided to have a look on ebay and I came up with things like this, so I think I search something like necklaces wholesale and I just came up with loads and they're, really cheap necklaces, but that's kind of what I want and they came just With a little clasp like there's, all you normal little clasp as well, so all's I did was just kind of unhooked that bit there don't need the other side either. So I unhooked that as well. So I don't need that and you're left with just a little loop at the end, and then I got a medium sized hair grip and just thread it back through and then you can kind of decide. You want gold, you want rose gold silver. Do you want kind of like more chunky ones? Do you want the finer ones you can kind of decide how you want it to look, I'm gon na actually add in and some gold as well. So this was like a super long, one which is way way way way way too long. So what I kind of did is I kind of seared it it. So you can kind of make them whatever length you won and because they're so cheap. If you need to just close a bit off, you can so kind of happy with the length of my gold one furthered it through, and I've just made five of these guys. But how cheap is that? I think it cost me literally like five pounds or something for the whole lot, so really really trip cheap and really really easy as well. So I'm literally gon na take my chain you're gon na feel where that breed sits, and I want it kind of like on the edge of that breed and then I'm just gon na feed that through like that next, I'm gon na just do it all silver One one smack bang in the middle last one. So this is what we're left with guys. I think it looks admit you saying, but that's just me so I'm gon na take this bottle pair tie, allow these chains to fall down there. Take you around the front and then we're just gon na tie a little knot around the back. But can you see how that's held all those chains to the front? Then that's what you want. You don't want to fall into the side. You want it kind of going through the ponytail and then I'm just gon na kind of borrow one of these chains guys and just wrap that a couple of times. So we really don't see that elastic at all and then I'm just gon na kind of pin that round the bar. So there you have it guys. That is the style. I absolutely love how the hair chains kind of like runs through the hair. I want to make sure that they're sitting on top, so you can see them and but there's a lots of different things. I think you could do with this. I think you could maybe have the hair down. I think you could maybe do a braid using the hair chains as one of the strands in the braid. As long as you put a little bit of a braid on the head in order to be able to stick that in hair chain in and to hold it secure, that's all you need to do so there we have it. So thanks! So much for watching I'd love to see some recreations of this style. Just attack me on instagram, i'm Sweetarts hair over there - and i will see you next week for another video bye. Just massive Moodle is better. My

Jennifer Kopenga: This was beautiful!!! That braid to hold them in was GENIUS! I haven’t seen any looks with these chains... if I am gonna buy some I’ll 10000% go your route, who wants $100’s of dollars worth of chains in their hair? Every one but you can enjoy them cuz they’re in your hair, can’t see em. ‍♀️ Yours looked real, they looked clean, uniformed, they served their purpose and looked amazing in the end

Marah Moonflower: Thanks Beth! I love this look. I don't do the Instagram. I do need you to show me... and I am grateful. I'm onto the Michael's craft later to pick out my style of chain. This look is soo me. I'm so excited

AliLou Creations: Fabulous! I love how they won’t fall out of place ❤️❤️ , please do more with these chains ⛓ they are gorgeous ❤️❤️

Sherri Duby: Stunning. I used to do something similar years ago on brides with long beads This is gorgeous Thanks always for your ideas. You do great work

Jenn Hoff: I love this! I've never seen it before! You know, most hairstyles when I see how it's done, I think "Oh, that's easier than it looks!" This is probably the first one where I thought, "Oh, that's harder than it looks!" ;'D Because you're right; they'd slide down without some internal infrastructure. I bet that, in a pinch (like if you wanted to do this on yourself), you could do 5 little vertical braids just under each chain. I think that's be easier to do on my own head.

Nia Ashmore: It would look amazing higher up and braid the chains too. Love it xx

Erin Stricklin: That looks so great! Love the hairstyle, Beth!
