Oh welcome to La Veta Rosa, I'm your host pinky, and today I will be showing you how to apply hair jewelry to your folks, your braids, any of your protective styles. You name it in this video we're just having fun making DIY hair jewelry and you know, being creative and adding a little personality and texture to our hair. So if you'd like to see more than just stay tuned, but before we begin, I would like for everyone to leave a big thumbs up down below also while you're down there check out my social media. Add me on facebook, snapchat and my Instagram page and don't forget to subscribe so without further ado, let's get into this hair jewelry, okay, guys I'm going to be honest. This is like my first time, accessorizing my hair. Besides using these cups, which I'm pretty sure you know, everyone has seen these - I got these from a local beauty supply. I use these on some dreads I had before, and I really liked them. So that's why I picked them up again. I also picked these up too. These were like a dollar, then I went to Walmart and got this natural hemp cord, which is used for braiding. We call five three or four dollars. You get the white tan and black, I'm probably just gon na be using the white or the black. Then I got just gold wire from Walmart as well, and I think it was like three or four dollars. This is basically just going to be like a arts and crafts project to me, almost I'm just going to freestyle it and like just decorate my hair, the way I see fit, I think I'm going to start with the core and what are you so white, because The tan is a little bit too close to my hair color, so I'm gon na use the white. If you like to see how I do my solo, so I will have the video link down below. I did to myself and they're super easy, so go check that video out, if you like, to see I'm going to start with this top dread right here and basically I'm just going to measure how long the string should be. I'M going to add a few more inches and then I'm going to basically double it up and cut it at the end. Next, I'm going to I'm going to twist the string around my head and, like almost upgrading fashion, all the way down and once you get down to the end, I'm just going to tie it in a knot and then I'm going to rest around tied in another Knot just to make sure it's secure. Hopefully this stays and plays tie it really tight and then tie it in a knot, make sure it's super tight and cut the loop in as close to the knot as you can. I really like the way this looks, so I'm going to pick like three or four more of the dreads to do this same technique too, but I pick them at random. I don't want them to be too close to each other just so it won't look too uniform. I want it to look a little bit more random, so, as you can see, I added my string. You know randomly placed in my hair I'll put a couple in the back too just so when, once we don't make it in the back now, I'm going to pick up the gold wire and I'm basically just going to wrap this gold wire around this brush. That'S like equal to, I feel like it's about the size of my dress, I'm just going to wrap it around the dredge until it's longer as long as I want it to be, then I'm going to cut both ends of the wire, so they could have like A curvature, so they won't be poking me and stuff, and it's going to look like this and I'm just going to slide it onto the end of my dread like so, if you want them to slide up higher you'll just have to make a bigger like get A bigger brush to wrap it around so now that I've added the gold wire, as you can see. Hopefully, you can see um, because my hair is a little goldish already I'm going to go ahead and add the little cups I'm going to leave them in the front. Since I only have two okay add a little bronze effect and then I'm just going to randomly place these cups in areas where I feel like they need a little decoration. I mean they're really easy to use you open them. They'Re really easy to open like a very soft metallic material and I'm just going to place them random places, and here are the finished results. So I'm really loving this hair jewelry. I think it gives your hair so much more personality and texture. It makes it look. Cooler in general so, like I said in the beginning, I'm kind of doing this on a whim, so I'm so happy that it turned out so cute. I didn't really have to have expectations, but this little girl. I think I should definitely try it out if you ever get brains or faux locs or protective style and just have fun with it. Let me know what you think down below.
