How To Decorate Your Locs! Jewelry - Wrapping Faux Locs (Detailed)

What is going on you guys it should grow marimba back with another video. This video is gon na, be really really fun for me to do because I'm going to be decorating my dress, my faux locs, hey, I hope it's fun for you guys to watch. I love my locs. I love to decorate them. I think that is the time to express your individuality with your hair and yeah. So I put these locks in yesterday. The brands and all that stuff, if you're interested in this particular faux block, crochet lock, will be in the description box. But this video is more so just to see. You know how some people decorate their hair. If you do decorate your locs and you want to see how someone else does it, you know maybe get some inspiration for yourself on how I do it take from me. Do you know what I'm trying to say? I have a bunch of things here that I picked up today, some stuff I've already had, but for the most part I did pick up some things, but I've used these things in the past, but I just ran out so I had to go shopping but yeah. So I have a bunch of items right here in front of me. I'M gon na to show you guys each item what it is why I like it. This is the first thing that I use on my hair. This is a variety of different cording, it's kind of similar to blue yarn, so I'm gon na take out one. So this is cording and by the way everything that I have in front of me, I either got from Michaels and some stuff. I got from my local beauty, supply store, so I'll, make sure to leave, links and stuff like that, so you guys can find where to get this stuff. So yeah this is cording. It'S basically you see it there. We go it's just basically, a little bit harder than y'all. Yarn is more kind of like knit and like fuzzy. I can't explain it, but this is more like string yes, so this is called Cordy. I have them in a bunch of different colors. I have green. The colors I'm probably gon na be using today are white, pink and orange. These three colors right here, just because I kind of coordinated what I want to do a little bit but yeah. I do use yarn. So if you want to use yarn that works just as freaked just as well, that's the word I'm looking for next thing. I got okay, so I got wire. So I have two different types of wire. I'Ll tell you the exact name so like if you're interested in getting exactly what I have you're gon na peel know what it is. So this is gauge wire or is it gauge 20 gauge wire, yeah 20 gauge wire? I got this color a rose, gold, pink color, and when I saw this at Michaels I was like I have to get it and you guys are gon na find out why in a second okay, okay, so the other type of wire that I got is called A German style wire I like this particular wire because it's flexible and it's easy to bend. It even says right here, right in front ideal for wire wrapping. So obviously this is something that you would use to just wrap around your luck and I'll get into all that soon. So the last three things are pretty obvious: everybody puts these in their locks and their brains and their hair, their hair cuffs. So I did get these hair cuffs gold, hair cuffs, that you see everywhere and then I got some hair coils and these are so cute. Originally, I was going to make these using the wire, but I found these and they're already pre-made. So here are the hair coils these coils. I was going to match these together. How cute you see these match they're kind of like both pink, and so I thought that would be super cute too. In my hair, you know you haven't, beat matches like all that stuff. So originally I bought the wire to do re version of this, but I found that these are already made. So if you do not have these hair coils, all you need is wire and you can easily make this. I start with the white coil figure out where I mean that's a cording, I'm like coil, so I'm just going to take piece and cut it and I think white looks really really good on dark hair. So for this I like to we're gon na put it like time it in the front, but not really so you just basically you're kind of like braiding it around and you're, going to just wrap it. It'S so hard to explain, but yeah, I'm just taking the lock and I'm taking the two pieces of string and kind of wrapping it or braiding it like crisscross crisscross. That makes sense. I hope it makes it, and so you see of this kind of look that I'm getting this particular way I'll. Do it messy. I don't care if it's like, not neat, that's the point knot it off and you just tie a simple knot and then you cut off this and then you're gon na have these two piece just like that you go so easy, so I'm gon na take one Of those pieces and do the same thing over the same spot, and so you kind of get overlapping, but that's just the look that I like honestly, I I am NOT a professional. This is just what I do this works for me. This is how I like it. I decorate just, do it just do it. I do what I like and then sit. These coils are so cute, so cute. So the thing too, you can stretch them down, but then you can also kind of pull them apart, like that so yeah, that's that I'm going to put a couple, this open, Huff's, I'm just I place anywhere, okay, so down here. I want to kind of wrap one, so we're gon na do the wrapping. Now. Let me get my pink Courtney. It looks bad on camera, but it's pink you're gon na cut a piece I want to wrap. It place the string as far as you want. The wrapping so a little bits like this okay, you're gon na just wrap around keep this hold this string down with your thumb and wrap around and you're kind of wrapping around the string see the string is still here and I'm just wrapping and see you're gon Na come down right here and I'm gon na do is not it off and then you're in your next color and wrap around these two strings. You'Re gon na hold those two strings down your next color and wrap it around. Okay, you're gon na do the same thing, give yourself a little bit of string and then just wrap around the string and all that stuff and then go ahead and knot it off. It'S so easy, so so easy to times stay hey guys. Yes, I'm doing a random voiceover, because guess what I've lost the footage after this point, I'm so upset with myself. But I do not have these locks in anymore and I can't reshoot the video. So it would be a lost and I don't want it to be a loss. So I'm just gon na do a voiceover pretty much. I added some wiring, which you guys saw the German wiring and I kind of wrap that around my lock. But everything is pretty basic, all the main stuff you guys saw in the beginning of the video. Everything else is pretty much. You know you know what to get. You know how I decorate it. I hope you guys enjoy it but yeah. I hope you guys.
