What'S going on everybody, my name is julia, and today i am going to be doing some mini braids on my short uneven natural hair. First, i am going to begin with this heat protectant by l'oreal just to spray on my hair before i blow dry it because my hair is wet, i just got done shampooing it and it feels really good. My scalp is really clean, so, like i stated at the beginning of the video, my hair is a little uneven. I did give my hair a haircut because my ends were really really bad and if you haven't checked out that video, the link will be in the description box below on how i cut my hair um so yeah. This is what i'm working with. I couldn't stay away from my mini braids y'all, so i'm coming in with it. If you're wondering what i'm putting on my scalp, i am using tea tree oil. This will help soothe your scalp and keep your scalp feeling refreshed. So if your hair is short and you struggle with braiding your hair in the back, you can pretend that you're braiding a cornrow going straight back so yeah. This is me pretending that i'm giving myself cornrows so just an fyi. Your parts do not have to be straight when you give yourself mini braids, you just want to make sure that you're not doing them too tight at the root, because you don't want your hair follicle to go in the opposite direction. That is not supposed to go. Okay, so just braid your hair really loose at the root not too loose, but try not to do it too tight, because you can cause alopecia that way. Your hair can start thinning just make sure that you are taking the proper steps and another thing try not to go no longer than four weeks with your mini braids, because you have to keep in mind that your hair sheds 100 strands every single day. So if i'm doing the math correctly in my head - that's 28 days in four weeks, so that so that's probably equal, like 2 800 strands of hair, that you're losing every single day inside your mini braids. So after you take the mini braids out girl, you definitely need a trim, so i am finally on my last braid hip, hip, hooray, hip, hip, hooray, so yeah um. Now that i'm down to my last braid, i am going to begin to spritz my hair drench. My hair in some water and go over it with this aunt jackie's, don't shrink gel. This gel is the bomb.com i'm gon na give my ends a little twirl smooth. My ends out really well, so i can wear them curly. At the end, comment down below your favorite gel you like to use you

Prophetess Lady Of Wisdom: Your plaits are so pretty and very neat. I personally don't use gel on my real hair. I just use shea butter while plaiting my hair since I wear wigs 99% of the time.

You did it so well and make it look so good- my hair is really thin & soft. My ends roll up if I don't have the gel, what else could I use to keep my ends straight?
