Toddler Hairstyles For Fine Hair | Elsa Braid! | Part 1

Toddler Hairstyles for Fine Hair! Part 1 in our series of hairstyles for toddlers! If you've struggled to style your daughter's hair (fine hair or thin hair especially), here's a quick hairstyle that lasts for days AND will make her hair appear to be thicker than ever!

Check out this video where I show you how to do the EASIEST BRAID you'll ever do called a pull through braid. If you struggle with braiding, this is the braid for you! If you can section off hair and put a hair tie in your daughter's hair, you can do this braid, I promise!

Don't be fooled by the title! This braid works on a variety of ages. I've even done this braid on myself especially when I'm on day 3 or 4 of not washing my hair.

Hey you guys thanks for joining us today, I am going to show you how to style little girls hair particularly little girls with fine hair, because we all know it's kind of hard to make it look thick. This is called a pull-through braid, or what do we call this braid class? We call it Elsa, so Gracie's joining me today. Can you say hello to everybody: hey, yeah, okay! Let'S do this! Do this happy hey, if you haven't done so yet make sure you subscribe to our channel. So you know when we're releasing videos, I'm actually going to be doing a series on hairstyles. You can do for your little girl, especially if she's got fine hair. So stay tuned make sure you subscribe and like this video okay, so we're gon na get started on Gracie's hair, we're gon na. Do your hair, like Elsa, do so a few of the things you're gon na need a detangler. I'Ve been using swab kids. Detangler works. Great you're, also gon na need something to keep the frizz down. I have been using Kendra's Platinum, texturising, taffy, I'll link, everything below so you guys can see it. You'Re gon na need a comb, preferably with some sort of tip that you can easily put their hair with a brush of course, and then I like to use goodies clear plastic hair: hey thanks, Gracie, okay! So let's get started. You ready the first thing you're gon na want to do is get your detangler out and spray that hair down really really well and rush through. It use a lot of detangler because you need it to be pretty wet to make this work up next grab your kendra texturizing taffy, don't need it, you guys it smells delicious, but it's actually not edible. You'Re gon na rub that through their hair, a little bit goes a long way next part it down the middle. You can also do this braid on the side or you can do it on their entire head. There'S a lot of different options, making it super super fun and versatile. Now you are just going to start sectioning off the hair, so this very first section of hair needs to be the biggest section. If you do it too small, it's gon na look funny and it'll come too close to their forehead, feel free to use more tacking and make sure that you're not getting any flyaways. I take this section to about the back of her ear, always have a device ready to go. I gave up at this point needed her to shut that cute little mouth of hers, but seriously I did. I did now you're just going to want to section off that second part of hair angle, the comb up so that you can get it super super tight. Otherwise, it's gon na be hard to pull that hair up on the side. Now we have two sections of hair here now. This is where it gets a little bit more complicated, but not much, I'm just taking that third section of hair and do's more spray to make sure you're getting this as tight as possible. But you're going to take that first section split it in half and wrap it around. The second section before you tie off the third section and have your little one hold that middle section of hair. So now I'm going to tie that off and that's going to create that pull through right. So now again, I've got two sections that I'm working with and I'm going to follow this pattern all the way down. Now I'm taking the fourth section, and I will wrap that first section around the middle section of air and tie it into the fourth now, when I get to the back of her head like this, I wanted to show you guys. So this is the fifth section. Instead of taking the part at an angle, I'm taking it straight across the back of her head. In my opinion, this makes the braid look a little bit better and it helps it turn around her head. If that makes sense, I'm not sure it's best now keep watching till the end, because I am going to show you a really cool way that you can take out these annoying elastic bands. Ie ain't hate pulling them out, but there is a really really simple way to take them out. So watch till the end. Now, after you finish doing the same exact thing on the other side being sure to keep those parts aligned you're just going to start going through and pulling the hair to make it look nice and thick to give that illusion of a really thick braid. And you can pull out as much or as little as you want, but this is my favorite part about this. Braid is that I can make her hair look really really thick. Also, this braid will last for a few days up to three days, if they're not laying too hard it's awesome. Now both sides are done. I pull through as much hair as I want to, and it looks nice and thick so so pretty now, with the remaining hair there's a lot of options. I put this into a bun before I curled it and kept it in the cute little pony today. I'M going to do a quick, fishtail braid, just to finish it off now, I'm just going to add a big bow at the top of the fishtail braid and a small bow at the bottom and call this thing good goodbye camera, as promised you guys here, is A really cool way to take out those elastic bands without hurting your kiddos head or pulling up their hair. You heat up a crying iron and place it right on the elastic until it gets hot enough and it snaps obviously do this with two hands. I'M holding my phone right now and it made it really hard, but this is an awesome way to not damage your hair and keep it comfortable for that keeps on asking our video today be sure to subscribe. Bhishan us this line, so you give me a thumbs up, eats everybody. Okay, we'll catch you! Next time may 15. You know bye ahh. What are you saying? Yes in color, you think we're making cookies

Bobby and Madge: My wife just did this to our daughter’s hair. Looked just like this. Great job!

Liza: My daughter and I watched together. I'm trying to get her interested into letting me do her hair nicer, not just a ponytail. Let's just say she loved it and we are watching some more to see what style she would like. ☺ THANK YOU ❣

Gareth: Cheers, as a bald guy trying to do my 3 year old daughter's hair, the ideas are really helpful, as it is a bit out of my wheel house.

Michelle Blake: Just tried this on my girl and turned out great. She has fine hair so worked amazing Thank you for sharing this

Natalie: The little girl I nanny for loves when I do her hair, can’t wait to try this out on her

Rebecca Bailey: Thank you so much it help me a lot! And the tip will be very helpful!!! ❤️

Heather Knight: I use the little letter openers that have the little blade in there and that works so good to get ahold of just one piece of the elastic and cut it

Succ Wong: I did this on my daughter and I absolutely love it! I called it her dinosaur scales

Billie Camphouse: Tried this for the first time today. It looks so cute. I'm not as good as you are but even with my beginner skillset I was able to do it and it looked good! Love your videos step by step. You made it easy to replicate. Thanks! I hope to see some more!

Kim Robb: Next time my kids tel me I’m to ruff on their head..going to show them this video, I’m going to try this style does look really nice on her.

Ashley McIntyre: I love this style and can’t wait to try it! But please try a seam ripper to take the bands out! Super easy and no chance of getting burnt

Shelby Connor: Loved this!!! Is was so easy, please make more videos like this!! You are very helpful throughout the whole video’!!

Gonzalez, Martha Gonzalez: I did it on my granddaughter and I do it on my hair when I cook and prep food. !! It's the best

Renee Sales: I take elastics out by using the very edge of a nail clipper to cut the elastic. Works well and you won’t cut the hair! Or even risk burning with the iron if your little girl can’t stand still like mine! Thanks for the hair tutorial. We are doing it today!

Melissa Thayne: Haha only a mom would say “don’t eat it” love everything about this.

Gonzalez, Martha Gonzalez: Thank you for sharing. I love the super love vibe !!!

Kadin DeFranza: We've been using a seam ripper to remove the elastics. I don't own a curling iron, and my twins would be too crazy to use heat.

Joe Snowden: You can also spray the hair with leave in conditioner and the rubber bands will slide right out

Sarah Callaway: Thank you THANK YOU for saying you have trouble getting your girl to cooperate! Made me feel better and less alone in it!

sabah hussain: Seriously though, such a CUTE little girl plus amazing hair. Easy x

marshall love vlog: Can’t wait to try this on my daughter’s hair but her hair is still a little short

C Diaz: Super cute! I think you should have a small pair of scissors to snip the elastics to prevent burning.

Morgan White: Quick question: How does she sleep with it in? And is it bad for her/her hair if I let my twins sleep with it in? Gorgeous hairstyle!! X

Zachary Franklin: Tiny bit of peppermint essential oil snaps the rubber bands almost as soon as it touches it

Ariel Quick: Lemon oil breaks the ties instantly!

Jaime Ramos: Cute!

Jose Chung FrOm oUtEr SpAcE: great video! thanks mamma!

Bodil Nielsen: Love it

Nonya Nonay: Not me doing this to my 2 year old brother

Andrea Thornton: I do use detangler but I don't use it to soak my daughter's hair down. I just use it to help with... tangles. So I just wondered, if you need her hair to be wet to make it more manageable... Why not water? I'm just making sure I'm not missing something.

maths is my favourite: I think it's too tight for her

Nikki Lacroix: another easy way to get rid of the little elastics is to use a seam ripper that you can get from the sewing section, and you can use finger nail clippers.

Joy Byerly: This video was done way too fast. It was showed one time how to do it to one section and then just said repeat.

Mae Rapp: I honestly feel like this was more for the mother then the child and why are your using a curling iron to melt off the elastics they have little tools to help with that and it’s way safer

Na’Vaughn and Kamil Big Time show: All hair is fine hair

Emily Ozuna: Girl u do kinda do it to fast

Amy Calderon: I am left with two pony tails at the end? What did I do wrong

Pine Home: Oh Gracie

Ayoolaoluwa blessing: I ii i it will

Samreet Randhawa: Ya kookkll

chucknorris: Any other dads here
