Today I'm going to show you how to braid pigtails. You want to make sure that your hair is split evenly down the back, so you have a nice, clean line right down the back, keeping the hair completely separated. Then you can just clip one of the sections out of the way for now. The easiest way to do this is to gather the hair right behind the ear, splitting it into three separate sections and twisting the middle piece towards the outside each time. Just keeping it nice and tight and controlled all the way down. You want to carry this down as far as you can go and then just tie off with a clear band or black band.
Then go to the opposite side. Once again, gather hair right behind the ear and split it into three sections, twisting the inside piece towards the outside, keeping it nice and clean. A good way to make sure that your sections stay clean, is each time you do a new braid section, just split the hairs and make sure there aren't any knots. Just carry it all the way down. Sometimes you'll find that the hair isn't long enough in certain sections. So what I like to do is take a tiny bit from another one of your subsections into that smaller section and just continue braiding. It just hides that new section that you took. Then just braid this all the way down, and there you have braided pigtails.
