Here are the two BEST braidng patterns for crochet box braids, faux locs, and any kind of twists, including passion twists, Marley twists, or just regular twists! In this detailed step by step tutorial for beginners, I show you how to braid your hair for crochet box braids, faux locs, or twists. This is the best crochet braid pattern for either a middle part or a side part. Both of these braiding patterns also have no leave out. All of your hair is in cornrows which makes installing your crochet very easy, because you don't have to worry about braiding or twisting individual pieces.

Hey guys today I'll be showing you guys the best braiding patterns to use for crochet. I do a lot of crochet braids so over time I've kind of figured out what works really well and what doesn't? What will give you the most natural look in the end. So today, I'll be showing you guys two of my favorite braiding patterns, they're both really good. I think one is really good for side parts and the other one is really good for little parts, but both can be used on either a middle part or a side. Part, so let's just get right into it. If you want to learn how to do this, braiding pattern, you can start watching now for the beginning. If you want to learn how to do this braid pattern, you can fast forward to this portion of the video or you can just watch and learn how to do both and pick which one you prefer like. I said, they're, both really good. So, let's just get started with this first braiding powder to start off. What I do is, I just do regular cornrows, starting from the front of my head going back, and I do this a few times. One thing that's very important to keep in mind when you are doing these braids is not to braid your hair too tight because you're about to crochet something through these braids. So you want it to be enough wiggle room for you to actually crochet whatever you're going to crochet, because if there's not, then it will hurt after I do a few cornrows going straight back. Normally. What I do is, I start diagonally the cornrows to start coming from the side, because I knew I wanted my side to be there on the right. So I started gradually transitioning in to making my cornrows coming from the front of my head to coming from the side parting of my head and rather than talk and try and explain this, I will just let you guys, watch and see exactly how I'm doing it Now, I'm showing you guys how I move into the back and gradually transition and curve and also move into the other side. On the other side, I'm doing the same thing where I originated from the site party. Another thing to keep in mind whenever your corner room you're here, is that you want your cornrows at least the beginning of your cornrows, to be the surround the same size as whatever you were about to crochet. So if you're about to crochet a really big braid, then you want your cornrows to be pretty big or, if you're, about to crochet some really really tiny, skinny braids, then you want your cornrows to be smaller, so just make sure to take that into account. Whenever you are braiding your hair in case, you need to braid your braids, smaller or bigger than this, and on this side I do the same thing that I did on the other side, where I gradually transition from originating the coin. Rows from the side party to originating the Quan rows from the front of my head - and this is what it looks like in the end, pretty simple to do actually and so depending on how long your here is, you might have some excess braids still sticking out. So what I like to do is just crochet the ends of my braids through my cornrows, just by sort of looping the ends of the braids around each corner. You can also sew down the ends of your braids. If you want something a little bit more secure, it's up to you, you and here's an example of a crochet installation that I did with this braiding pattern and, as you can tell it came out, looking flawlessly and very natural-looking. So I really do like this breaking pattern so now on to you the second braiding pattern. This is also another very good braiding pattern that I like to use what's different about this one is to start what I'm doing is I'm braiding cornrows from the beginning of my head, but I don't go all the way back I stop and then I continue going Up writing short cornrows along the front perimeter of my head and so that these greats don't unravel before I finish them, I just probably put them down at the end and, like I talked about in my previous braiding pattern that I showed you want to make sure That the size of the corners that you are doing is around the same size as whatever you are about to crochet. So I usually like to test the thing I'm about to crochet against my head to make sure that it's around the same size as my cornrows and then so once I've finished braiding those short cornrows going from the front of my head. What I do is I start, so this is going to be a middle part, so I start a cornrow going from the middle and then, as I'm cornrowing, that break down, I gradually add in those first few sets of braids that I did before. As you can see me do right here and then after I do that I go in from the top of my head originating from the middle part, and I just braid in the same way, going all the way down to the back of the middle of my Head and then I continue doing that multiple times originating from that middle part of my head breathing down once I get towards the back. I just do the same thing, just braid, it all the way down, and then I do the exact same thing. On the other side, they're the exact same thing merde, where I start by burying a bunch of short braids at the very front of my head going back and then I cornrow from the middle part of my head going down and bring in those original cornrows from The front into that cornrow and then I continue braiding corn rows straight down from the middle parting of my head going down, and I continued that until I finish braiding all of my hair, you guys can watch to see how I'm doing this for this braiding pattern. I also decided to combine all of the braids into one braid. This is optional. You can also braid all of the cornrows all the way down individually and not combine them and then tuck them in separately, like I showed in my last example of my braiding pattern, or you can do it this way, when you have one big braid that you Tuck in it slightly bulkier this way with one big braid. But for me that's fine, because it's at the very back of my head and it's never been a problem for me once you crochet something on top of it. It'Ll all be camouflaged, and I find one big braid pretty simple to do so. I want to do it both ways myself and yes. So this is the finished braiding pattern. It ends up working really really well, and this is an example of an installation that I did with this braiding pattern and, as you can see, it came out looking very, very natural. These are two of my favorite braiding patterns for crochet. Definitely try them out. There'S no reason why we should be having unnatural looking crochet braids anymore, because there are good braiding products out there that allow you to have a natural-looking partings and you can still wear your hair up, pull it back or in a side parting. So definitely try these out and yeah I'll see you the next one. You definitely feel free to subscribe. If you found this video helpful - and you can also find me on instagram at show, okie me and yeah i'll see you in the next one

Madialang FATY: I did the second one for small crochet box braids. I love it, it looks so natural and it really protects my hair from breakage therefore helps a lot for the growth. I'm so glad. Thank you, I love your channel. Xoxo from France ! <3

I usually split it into 4 braids & crochet those in. It falls great, I install with 30" freetress medium #30 color box braids. TBH I don't care a ton about it looking like individuals... it is crochet & takes 3 hours to install so I am not expecting results of something that takes 11 hours to install!!

MsMiracle37: Love your videos. I'm gonna wear those braid patterns as a style..especially #2. They're both cute! Thanks for sharing ❤️

But since I started doing it, its gotten twice as long. I also do box brainds in the front with crochet braids in the back. I hope adding the cuban twist hair to my cornrows will make it an easier, more successful install. Thanks for sharing!

Jacqui L: Hi Seun, I'm so glad I found your '3 years worth' of videos. I'm from London UK, but I now live in a small area in Italy, where there aren't many black people and literally no hairdresser for black hair. I have spent many years ruining my hair, but you've made braiding, crocheting and weaving look so doable...So I'm going to start doing my own protective hairstyles. Thank you.

Resann Cunningham: thank you for those braid patterns.... these will be my go to patterns going forward...

Adede Assem: Love these....yet to try crocheting...so these are very helpful

I never did the crochet BB bc they all looked so unnatural but these patterns...... I love them both!!! I dnt usually do middle parts bc I have a widows peak but I am absolutely trying both of these! Thanks dollface!

Brittany Sibley: Very pretty at the end

Pual Parrow: Love it. Thanks for sharing

Seri Gabe: Appreciate the good tips

LaDonna Sims: Thankyou for all your help in braiding. You have beautiful long hair

pakapoa: Yes to long beautiful hair sis. Thanks to you I used your middle part braid pattern only in the front of my head, but i zigzagged in the back so that I have access to my scalp.

poshpearls23: Chile, when I tell you this would take me 17.26 years to do this Im a really slow braider. But it is AMAZING.....don't wear any crochet or weave but this is awesome.

Patrice Owens: Is there a way to combine both patterns for middle and side part?

Toyin O.: I’m definitely trying the second style. Thanks.

Mary J Flanagan: I did a modified version of the one for tje middle part, actually in a side part. I'd already done a braid going across the front and 6 cornrows, going straight back. Now, I just need to find my ocean wave hair to finish my style.

Yolanda Jones: Thank you very easy and simple

Coretta John: ALL THAT HAIR I WOULD BE WEARING A PONYTAIL ALL DAY EVERYDAY!!! WOW!!!

Pretty Pri: Doing pattern 1 tomorrow

Jason Thompson: Yes! Thanks for the tip on the size of the cornrow!

Madame Duchess: If I had this length, I probably wouldn't even wear weave #goals

kindlet1145: I'm really bad at doing that type of cainrow, I can never seem to get the parting straight at the same width from beginning to end. I can only do the usual two from the centre or side parting and do the cainrows at the side of my head lol! I find that whenever I do these type of cainrow the plait doesn't stay it eventually loosens because of my hair quality, I will probably have to include a strand of synthetic hair to help keep the cainrow. I'm gonna have to practice my partings now as I'm gonna try and do the crotchet braids as another form of my protective hair styles. Wish me luck.

amoryll36: This is great Can you please do a video on best braiding patterns for crochet hair?

MsLeelee94: this is what I been looking for braiding patterns thanks

Nora Long: I love it

Brittaney Mccann: I love your videos today is my first day watching you ❤️❤️❤️

SilverMistRose: I loved the braid patterns but I wouldn’t recommend them for straight crochet, it’s much difficult to hide knots and looks a bit off Personal experience ‍♀️ but otherwise, I’d recommend

Sharmon Mitchell: I love this video however I would also like to see how the back turned out. Does the back fill in nicely as the front? The back braids are usually thicker and bulkier than the front. Does the crocheted braids lay nice not revealing the bulkiness? Can you style the back without revealing that they are crochet braids?

Janet.O Olabisi: Your hair so long & beautiful , honestly your hair & look is really beautiful without the crotchet . Lovely hair lovely look , God made you perfectly Thanks for the patterns too , great

G: Thanks for this just have to learn to braid❤️

Nelly Nells: wooow you're talented, love the hair

Leonie Davis: Lovely! Awesome!

Angel Eyes: My hair is the same length as yours and my concern is the bulky braids in the back. I wish you would've taken a picture of the back once you've finished the installment. The front looks beautiful

VictoriaReigns: I'm sure you answered this question, but I cannot find it in the comments. For the first braiding pattern, about how many braids did you do? They look lovely by the way :)

Nara’s Book: Very cool video, I loved it! Greetings from Chile braider sis❤️

neek buck: Great tips

Kiara Rice: GREAT JOB

Dura's K-pop World ♡: I prefer the first one because of the back. You look beautiful btw❣️✌
