Thank you God for always taking my dreams past my expectations!

Hey everybody welcome back to my channel. It is me it's Bethany. I know they're gone for a while, like I said before, you guys I just like gets in the way, sometimes of YouTube for me, and I try my best but anyway here I am two videos. This week guys two videos this week. I'M excited to show you guys how I do these two Dutch braids, French braids cornrows, whatever you call them, they're, not really French braids, it really Dutch braids or a cornrow. You know whatever. So I really really love this look. It'S just easy if I need a protective style whatever. If you guys want to see a step-by-step, I really try to break down how to Dutch braid in this video, for you guys, so I hope you find it helpful and yeah just stay tuned. If you guys want to see how I got these Dutch braids on my head, a braid stuck to your head, keep watching! Okay, guys, so my hair is currently just thrown up. So I'm gon na start by taking my hair out of this one sorry feel free at this chair squeak. It'S a really squeaky chair, but I'm gon na try not to let it squeak too much but yeah. So my hair is dry and I like to pretty much keep my hair dry for the most part, I'm of course, I'm not gon na do my hair when it's completely dry like this. No, but I do like my hair to be like not like super wet, when I do it, because when I, if my hair is wet the braid to draw up more and I like them to be more elongated, so that's just a tip. If you don't want your grades to be like shrink shrinking up, so the first thing I'm gon na do is, I am going to spray my hair and I so I like you drive, but I just needed to be damp, so I can manage it better parting And separated dry hair is just a disaster, so I'm gon na use the natural rehydrating missed and detangler. I really like this. It smells really good. It gets in your mouth, it kind of tastes like cotton candy, and on top of that, it um it does a really good job of just angling and moisturizing, and I love how it has like this pump. Don'T pay attention to my nails, guys. I know this is like the worst tutorial to like not have my nails done, but they're not done stuff. Okay, so I can barely see out of these now so so funny story about my glasses, while I'm cleaning them I'm the other day Zara. So I like to take my glasses off my face and put them back on just for fun, and I just like this snap and she completely snapped the arm off of the glasses over here. So it's literally taped on it's been taped on for about four or five days, and it's just like, of course this would happen. I don't have any contact. I had just ordered them, but they weren't in in time. The eye doctor could do nothing for me. So I've just been wearing them, take two hun for the past few days and it will still be like this until I get my contacts back so I'm going to first of all, I'm gon na take all four of these hair ties off my arm. That'S crazy! For that's like a record for me, okay, so how I like to do my hair. I have done it straight down the middle before, but I like to do like a side diagonal part. So I'll just come from the side and I'll just part it diagonally and just be careful when you're separating your hair, not to like pull it too much. I just try to kind of detangle it, but that's why it being like a little damp really helps with that. I basically take the part because I like to basically bring the diagonal right to the middle of my head and then once I get to the center. I just go straight down that one felt pretty good, so we're just gon na go with it, so you want to make sure that your hair is actually pretty detangled thoroughly detangled whenever you are trying to break if you braid a while tango your braids just gon Na be lumpy and it's gon na be bad. I'Ve actually done this before and it just doesn't look cute okay. So now I have this side of my hair pretty much too tangled and now is the time where you would add your styling product. So, depending on what kind of styling products you want to use, I recommend probably the leave-in conditioner or styling cream and a gel. I didn't bring a styling cream churner here with me today, so I'm just gon na use a gel. I'M gon na use the Eco gold. This is my favorite one at the moment and so we're gon na pop. Her open ready - and I'm just gon na apply this all over this entire section, and this is going to give it a little bit more slip as well, so that you can really glide your fingers through when you braid and I like to grab some of my Hands and lay it right along the part just to keep it flat as possible. I'Ll have a lot of flyaways in that area of my head, so I'm gon na brush through it one more time. Okay and that's the section like I said, the hair is still mostly dried. The gel makes a little bit more damp, but I promise you, the style will still be more elongated than if I just with my hair was like soaking wet. So what I'm gon na do now is I'm going to start the break. So there are different ways: you can position your hair while braiding, you can come over your head and you can braid going this way or you can braid from this angle, with both elbows face down and grade this way. Eyelids braid both ways. However, since I want my braids to be closer to my ear - and I don't want them going more straight back - I'm gon na braid with my elbows going down and I'm gon na braid this way. So I'm gon na start off my braid by grabbing a section of hair in the beginning like this, and what I'm going to do is I'm going to separate this section into three sections because, as we know, braids are consisted of three sections. So the way that a braid is formed, you see, I have three sections one. Two three, a braid is formed by taking one section, I'm going to take this one up here and crossing it under the middle section. Now I'm at 3, again you're going to take the opposite outside section and cross it underneath of the middle section again outside section under the middle section, outside section, under the middle section outside section, under the middle section outside section under the middle section. That is how a braid is formed. So as soon as you keep crossing that's how you form a great so once you know how to braid regular doing a cornrow is actually very, very similar. It'S just that whenever you're gon na cross, the braid underneath of the other braid you're gon na grab some of this hair to make each section thicker. So let me show you now what you want to do. Is you want to make sure that there that you're pulling them tight as you're going down, because that's how your braids gon na be tight, so I'm gon na take a little bit of gel. I can't really tell how it looks from this far away, but so I'm going to across the outside section under the middle section and each time that I go under I'm gon na scoop, some hair from underneath with my fingers. So here you can stop and actually grab that hair. Just add to the section here: adding some hair and I'm keeping this braid close to my hairline, because that's what I want the great to stick. So you can grab this hair and pull it in and I'm grabbing it with this finger, that's finger! That'S holding that section! That'S the thing that I'm just lifting up to grab more hair, so grab some hair from here we're using that middle finger. It'S kind of a difficult thing to explain and show, because my fingers already know what they're doing I like to smooth out the hair as I go. If you ought to know how to French braid, then you can just look more at the technique of how you know how I'm forming the braid. You want to make sure that each section see how they're getting thicker you want to make sure that they're smooth and they don't have any knots or tangles so take some section of sections in here and I'm going to add it to that section. So here I am three sections, and so I'm going to take this one on the towards near my ear and I'm gon na cross it underneath of the middle section and when I'm doing that, I'm gon na add some hair from underneath, like that, that's how it Works, it can be a little bit difficult to understand, but you kind of have to get your hands into it and try it yourself and that's when you'll kind of understand it better. I don't know if all of my sections are super smooth or not, because I'm so far away. I can't really tell I feel like they might be a little lumpy. I like them to be very smooth, but I can't really see in this angle. So that's okay and then this is the last section you're gon na join it to that middle section, and then I'm going to just do a regular braid all the way down now like it's at this point, I'm all the way. At the end, I like to brush out these sections as much as possible so that this braid down here, it's gon na, be really sleek and smooth. So now I'm just going to do a regular braid all the way down it's tight and then go nowhere and it's in there. So sometimes, if I get pieces like this I'll either try my best to just bring them around the back and tuck them in and if not, you can always grab. If it's like a look like that, you can grab it with a bobby pin and then just stick it in and it will stay. But I was able to kind of just tuck that one in and there sometimes, if your nails, if you have hang nails or if you have nail polish, it's kind of like lifted up like how mine that's bad, the hair will catch it. It will make it worse, so it's actually part of the braid here with nails that are like jacked up. So I'm just gon na rub my edges down a little bit. We'Re gon na lay those a little bit later, but let's do this back and it's brushed out and I look awesome alright, so I'm going to part a triangle at the top of this section, one: two: three: okay, now that we have three sections, I'm going to Choke it up all the way to the roots, the closer you are to the roots, look started. You can set your braid, so I'm going to use my middle finger. Sorry guys not to be rude to you here, I'm just showing you that this one's between this one, then I use to my little figure to grab that one, and then I use these two fingers to grab this one. So you'll always have strands between your two fingers and one hand will have it between the middle finger. The middle finger is a finger that is doing the grabbing, so I'm going to slide my middle finger under the middle section and we're going to grab this section. When I grab this section, I'm going to scoop some middle finger under the middle section here, so I'm going to this is where you scoop, you can use this hand to help scoop so scoop, and then I have three sections again. So I'm gon na use this finger and scoop. Okay, guys middle finger goes under and that's when you grab some extra hair middle finger goes under and that's when you grab some extra hair middle finger goes under grab. Some extra hair middle finger goes under grab. Some extra hair you can stop and make sure that your sections are separated. I'M gon na make sure I'm good and keep it going. Middle finger goes under grab some extra hair. Some middle finger has to go under grab some more hair and you want to pull every now and then just to keep your tension, because the tension is what keeps your very tight. Okay, you guys. So I read it that part because I felt like my tension was a little off, but if your braid, it seems like too loose or if it seems like it, doesn't look a uniform like some parts look bigger than others. That just means that you're probably not pulling it tight enough. So you just want to make sure that every section that you do right here right before I cross this section under this section, I want to pull and that's just going to make sure that it's nice and tight. So it's just like a pool and then ago section make sure I have all the hair in you. Don'T want any pieces wet down there, that'll be crazy. So once I get here, I'm gon na pull the last piece. This time, I'm gon na use my hands to straighten out the pieces, I'm gon na secure at the end, what they reprimand. Just like, I did the other section I just. I can't even really tell if it's off if it looks off or not, because the mirror is like so far away like I can't even touch it so plus when my glasses already has me feeling like I'm losing okay. I can't wait to my contacts come in and the ends are kind of just like cute little curls, I'm tired of living. The ratchet glasses life like this is so great okay, so here we are, our braids are done, my hair, I feel so cute now. Okay, so I'm gon na use this edge control. I actually bought this to see how good it really is. This is the first touchdown edge tamer. This is the maximum touch it's supposed to be not flaking in pulls a tank free, the supposed to be like the best edge to troll. Ever it's pretty expensive, like I think it was like 399 just for this little small size, so it better be bombed this lightly. Adding some to the edges I like to use this little edge brush has a comb on one side. I'M sure you guys have seen it I like to take it. I like to my baby hairs to be dry, and I like this brush to be just just a little bit. You know I may just you know, get a little bit of the witness off and then I like to start shaping my edges. Okay, so now I got ta get these flyaways that are up here, so I don't like to use a jet regular gel for this. I like to use edge control. I got some of my fingers. I'M gon na rub it in on these three fingers on both hands and I'm just going to go down this way. I'M gon na apply it very lightly. A very light coat is all you need, but let me tell you: it will lay down this middle part like none other, don't try to use eco gel, it's water-based, so what its gon na do is it's going to make your hair draw a lot more? It just what it doesn't work for me. Okay, it doesn't work for me and yeah, you guys, that's the style, so I hope that you guys like it. I hope that it was easy to follow. It leaks a little bit. I know if you don't already know how to braid. It can be a little bit difficult, but I think that you guys will be able to find other tutorials to YouTube on how to braid. If you guys want to know how to do a simple single strand. Braid just how to braid how to braid simple tutorial. I can do that for you guys to our made your stomach necks just just for fun, just so that, if that, if that's the video that you need to see, it's already there. So this is how I do my two grades. I like to keep them right here. I don't really like going straight back too much. It is a look. It is a look if that's a look that you needs for that day, but most of the time I like to keep it right along my hairline and right by my ear, I feel like it just falls better. Sometimes, if you do the straight backs, they only stay in the back and sometimes you're like back here. So it's like and then imagine if this wasn't here so just you know, sometimes it's just not the look. This is a look. I like the best cuz. I think your edges just flow it right into it, so slow cute, you're, poppin you're doing it for spring and summer. Protective styles are great, especially if you're on the go. You can wrap your hair like this at night, and you can keep this in. For a few days or a week or whatever, I'm gon na go to some lunch because I'm so hungry, I'm literally so hungry but yeah. I love you guys and I'll see you in my next video bye, girl, bye boy, bye, bye,
