Cornrows on a white person are done exactly the same as cornrows on any other ethnicity, as the sections are parted, the hair is clipped back and the braids are done tightly like a backwards French braid. Hi, my name is Lauren, and today I'm here to discuss how to do cologne rose on a white person. Doing cornrows on a white person would be the same thing about doing cornrows on any sort of ethnic person. So what you're going to do is do a separation apart you're going to decide how wide you would like your cornrows to be you're, also going to decide on your parting. You can either do a straight part which will be have leave your cornrows a little bit more defined or you can do a zigzag part, your zigzag by simply putting a tail comb or a clip such as this moving it back and forth, pulling it out. Once you go and pull it out, the hair will automatically separate leaving you with that zigzag part after you figure out which part it is that you'd, like you, were then going to section off the pieces of hair on either side of that cornrow. It'S important in order to keep the crisp blowing, also to not have any other hair interfering with your work. Space you're then going to split the hair, the front piece out and you went from about a quarter of an inch to a half an inch you're. Then going to take two fingers insert them inside of it and split the hair into three sections: try to make the sections as equal as possible if you find the section on, isn't really equal, just kind of you know use your judgment in order to equal them Out you're then going to crisscross the strands you're going to go underneath, rather than on top, so you're going to continuously go from side to Center, changing that Center strand. By going underneath, the braid once you've gotten two or three braids back up you're, going to actually take and start integrating some of the hair that was left on that side and you're still going to be swinging it underneath. So what that does? Is it actually lifts? The braid kind of up and off the scalp and almost MIT gives it a three-dimensional kind of look you're going to continue this all the way back until your desired braid is in, depending on the pattern you choose or the partings that you choose, you can either Bring your cornrows back more of like a headband effect, or you can bring them all the way down down, depending on your personal style. And then you start sectioning off and you end up with a nice braided cornrow and that is how to Kwan row a white person's hair.

Matcha: This is a wonderful clarification. It's awesome to learn how to do cornrows and know that it doesn't matter what ethnicity you are, they will come out the same. Wonderful video, great teaching tool.

Noel Kutz: You are so helpful! In cosmetology class I was having such a hard time on this. -thanks

Veronica Ashfield: Thank You so much!!! I did my hair and it looks great!! You show how to do it very well! THANK YOU!!!! :D

Challis-Leigh Mooney: Why did you have to bring up racism? It has nothing to do with any sort of racism. She is doing cornrows on a white girl, which is marginally different from a black person. That's all. She never mentioned any sort of racism or racist slur. So where are you getting that from?

future hofer: Aint nobody gonna talk about how that doll got the sharpest hairline in history

Ratchet25: It seems weird to me when every time she says "white person", what's an ethnic person? And not all white people have straight hair.

PutRandomNameHere: One of the differences I've seen when I braid my brother's hair is that I have to pull a little harder to keep it looking good. Black hair, from the videos I've seen, you don't need to keep it nearly as tight. Which is why I usually start wishing my brother was black about half way through. :P

Lauren Taylor: @BaDb0yRaStA there is no limit, cornrows can be done even at one inch of hair :)

niceeyeballs: thank you so much...ive been looking all over the net to find out how you do this hairstyle and whats the name for it i thought it was canerolls :P thnx agen x

BeautyIzNtheEyeOF: @aaaa11161 Actually it is the same regardless of hair texture the technique doesn't change, but just as u, when I saw this vid I knew someone would say "racist". I think the title was to draw ppl in to it but just to teach u its no different on white, blk, brown, purple, yellow, red, or orange person's hair. I've done hair of every ethnicity and there's really no diff. The technique remains the same.

Shalini R: canerolls is a term used in the caribbean because they plant sugar cane..:) and it looks like the sugar cane rows, the same idea in north america we have corn feilds and the rows give the same look as the sugar cane..

stormihope: I LOL'd so hard at this.

lydie44: I'm guessing you used a manequin because otherwise she'd be screaming! I'm white and got cornrows once- it hurt bad!

vbarragan23: DANG GURLFRIEND CAN BRAID!

Chris Catto: Lol, racism makes the world go round, I love it, funny thing is that none of you know my skin colour. If you hate black people cos u think they're all racist, your racist! If u hate whites cos they're all racist, well, your racist too. Why don't we all just agree to hate the fuck outa each other for the pure simple fact that we just don't have the confidence in ourselves to stand up in front of anyone and everyone and say 'this is me'. Find peace within and peace will surround you

calluna: white vs ethnic geez lady, "white" people are ethnic too, lol, everybody belongs to some ethnic group. Unless you're like me, from Mars.

joejo1218719: people is it REALLY that serious?

Sydney Jones: God I love how racist that is. (sarcasm)

kalie blade: i'v tried so hard but i can't do it : (

Lauren Taylor: @7silentsword7 yes it will work

Amber Denton: really? I already knew when I came on this video I was gonna hear people say RACIST!! but the reason she says white people hair is because on a white person(I am white) it's harder because it has a different texture than African American hair so all u ignorant people that wanna ASSuME she's racist do some research :)

Jasmine Shafley: @ChrisCatto aaaaand now back to hair.. the reason she says it is because there are many different hair types, for example black people's hair will stay at the end of a braid usually but white people's hair usually wont

LadyRhiRhi: Seems a bit silly that she uses the same "white person" head for both of her cornrow videos. So what's the difference? It's braided the same way in the other video.

Grace: Hahaha i love your accent XD

ShaneStanley109: @Nag1ful i get my hair braided in a african salon n they gave me this spray 4 my hair n its got on there for ( cornrows ) not cane row fool

Jeremy Judd: im white and i am gettin cornrows now

jaye davis: just imagine white person with a jerry curl....LOLZ

berner: So I guess I need long hair to do this? Man that sucks... I'm never using the internet again.

Rye bread: I am going to try this

Aurelas Rainsong: hmmm I don't really see how this is different from any of the other cornrow advice out there...was hoping to find some help for my very fine very straight hair (lol in my photo I had braided it into tiny braids while wet and then unbraided and teased it a lot--not how it normally looks, sadly). Not sure why this is specifically for white hair and have to agree it seems a bit racist to me.

lyn: +ehowbeauty It's not a person its a mannequin btw.......................

DemonBebula: How to do cornrows on a white person

LucyLucy1662: black people have thicker frizzier hair.... my aunty is black and she braids her children's hair and my hair slightly differently so everybody shh.

hunt7999: what if its for guys

zoe peters: you can call a person white and you can call a person black, it's a description not a label. the reason I believe she says cornrows for white people, is because cornrows is a typical black person's hairstyle.

Burh17: Wow y'all drama queens!!! Just deal whit the title and don't read it.. We all have a nice hair. I think everyone is trying to have a line up just like the black person style. It looks really cool. But why you all make such a big deal out of it? Anyway, it looks easy..

Iszy Church: that manikins hair is a bit weird XD oh well

pach: lmfao. the title IS racist (:

liljahn24: @xXsummerrX I realize how my comment came across... I wasn't saying that cornrows on a white person was unimaginable or impossible. I was refering to the title of the video, saying that the way this woman phrased it could have been a lot better. Calling the video "...cornrows on a white person" sounds racist, ignorant and unprofessional to say the least. I'm shocked she even said it the way she did! A better title could be: "How to cornrow white hairtypes" or something like that.

liljahn24: what the... cornrows on a white person... seriously!?

N: you doin the devils work

MushroomRaincloud: lol, eurasianchica, then shouldn't you be of the martian race? ;)

juicystarme: Raceist... Nice try though

MsChan: Im black and not all black people have thick hair.

Will Marcrum Films: she looks like katy perry.

kalainxxx: Im black an dis aint racist...its true we do have diff hair so what?? she didnt say ones betta dan the other.. u ppl just actin immature

Ross Watson: Oh please get over yourselves black peoples hair and whiter peoples hair is different she didn't stand up there giving a racist speech she just showed me how to braid my hair

gc6133: @MS623AZ no she didnt

aboodshohatee: Looks lik Katy perry LmL

Victoria: You people are ridiculous saying shes racist..

kaybri58: Everyone saying this is racist shutup!are hair is diffrent.....why did you click on this anyways?!?

Seb Spiteri: il liba how racist lol!

Hueyyy: racist

Tenitrus Bethel: Uuuuhhhhh...okay

Blaze'z Totally Random Channel: i think these corn rows are supposed to be smaller not a inch and a half wide and it looks like it is very sloppily done ....just my opinion
