Aveda How-To | Summer Festival Twisted Crown Braid Hairstyle

http://www.aveda.com/dryshampoo Prepare for hot summer days by learning how to create the popular festival braided crown hairstyle. In this hair tutorial, Aveda Artist Amanda demonstrates how to create the crown braid hairstyle.

A trendy look from summer music festivals, start the crown braid by bringing a naturally clean look back to your hair with Aveda Shampure Dry Shampoo. Shampure also adds texture to hair making hair easier to grasp and braid. Center part hair into two equal sections anchored by two low ponytails. Tightly braid each side separately in regular three strand braids all the way to the end. Take one braid wrapping all the way around the front of your head just behind your hairline and secure in place with a bobby pin.

Repeat with the other braid slightly behind the first braid around the front of the head. Tuck in each braid end to make them hidden. Keep your look in place with Air Control Hairspray for flexible hold and Sun Care Protective Hair Veil for minimizing damage from sun exposure.
