Hi guys welcome back in today's video. I want to show you how i did my knotless box braids using yarn, and the yarn that i used is called brazilian wool yarn. This is what it looks like in the package here. This is 100 acrylic, uh, knitting, yarn and i'll leave a link in my description box. If you want to go check this out, it came in a package of five bundles like this, and i used three bundles for this particular hairstyle, and this is what the yarn looks like outside of the package. It kind of reminds me of a braiding hair a little bit or a naturally uh blown out hair. It'S really really soft, and i like that it has these little individual sections here. It helps when you're trying to measure out how thick or thin you want your braid to be so everything can be nice and even - and i did uh crochet this yarn into my hair, so you'll need a crochet tool which also came in the package, and i Also used some edge, control and jam on this look, so everything can look nice and neat and slick. So if you want to see how i do it keep watching so here i have one more section to complete and you'll see me smoothing on my let's jam around the parting area of my section and i'm also going to add my edge control around the front Portion of my hair, just because it offers a stronger hole, and i just want that area to last a little longer. You do have the option to use your edge control on the entire section if your hair requires a stronger hole or if you just want your braids to last a little longer here, i'm using my comb to smooth out any lumps and i'm actually going to come Back in with my edge brush so that i can smooth out the product here, i am dividing my section into three parts so that i can start my braid. Some people do use a rubber band on this section, but i decided not to use rubber bands this time, i'm using i'm just gon na braid it i'm gon na braid, my hair down just about one inch. You don't have to braid your hair all the way to the end. You just want to do a really tight braid so that you can have a good anchor for crocheting the yarn. Through your hair, i decided that i wanted my box braids to be large, so i am crocheting in three equally sized sections of yarn and, as you can see, one of my sections is already crocheted through. So this is my second section that i am rolling up and i am twisting it to make it a little easier to get the yarn through the crochet loop, because those loops are very small and this was a kind of a thick piece of yarn. So um, that's why i rolled it up there and i have 10 braids in the front with five braids on each side and i have seven braids in the back and as far as my length, i decided i wanted mine to be waist length because i, like Long braids so um, you know this yarn comes in one continuous roll, so one of the good things about it is that you can measure it out to have your braids any length that you like. So if you like long ones, you're covered, if you, if you like short ones, you're also covered, so you can use exactly the amount that you want without wasting any of the product. This style took me about two hours to complete from beginning to end, and i probably had this these braids for about two weeks. I'M pretty sure i could have had them longer, but i had to move on to another style. So here i'm separating the yarn and my hair into three equal sections and just braid down as normal. Just don't overlap your hair too much in the beginning. I had to go back in later and fix a couple of lumpy braids that i had. It was probably like one or two lumpy braids, but i had to go back in and fix that a little later. So if you want to save yourself some time just take your time and just braid down is normal with three equal sections, including your hair and the yarn. As i mentioned, i have um the waist length braids. So i'm just showing you here that i'm braiding my hair all the way down to the end and i'm going to use a rubber band to hold everything together. While i clean up my braids with my scissors and my lighter later on after the video, i did add some beads to my hair. I didn't show you in this video, but i did add some beads a little bit later, but yeah here i am clipping these stray hairs right here. It was actually quite a few of them, so i'm just trying to clean it up and make it look. Nice and neat and professional, and i'm actually going to go back in with my lighter, so that it can kind of burn off all of those little tiny stray hairs, so i can just make it look a little bit smoother so yeah guys that is about it. I hope you enjoyed this video. Please give this video a thumbs up and hit that subscribe button. Thank you all for watching, see you next time do do. Do you
