Diy Knotless Box Braids| Thin Braids| Only Two Packs Of Hair!!!

Hey Yall! This is my second attempt at knotless braids and girls...I THINK I NAILED IT! I love the thin braid look. It is a perfect protective style for the summer. In LA it is already getting so hot so this is a go to so I can protect my 4C hair for a few weeks (hopefully). Give these a try and let me know how they turn out. Leave a comment if you have any questions!

Hello, everyone and welcome back to my channel manny here and, if you're new welcome in today's video, we are going to be getting into these knotless box braids. Two packs of hair girl, two packs of hair, only they're super light super thin and perfect for the summer. So, if you're interested in seeing how i got this hairstyle stick around okay, you guys this is what i'm starting with it took me approximately. I want to say 10 hours, don't laugh at me um! I was not braiding all day, but in totality i want to say it took me 12 hours to complete this entire look um. So this is my final row and i am starting off with blow-dried hair um. So first things first is i'm going to get my part and i'm going to put some edge control um to just tame like those ends or not those ends to tame those roots. Um, you probably can use any edge control that you like um, but if you would like me to tell you which edge control, i use just leave a comment below and i can tell you the exact edge control i used um, so yeah after i edge control. My um whole part the whole perimeter i am going to in a second split, the um entire section in half. This is going to be the base for how we're going to do our knotless braid. So right now i'm getting my hair, so i can get a very small piece that i can add into um my hair and you guys are about to see right now how small of a piece i am using a rule of thumb that i've learned since braiding. My hair is you would if you want thin braids, you have to use the most amount of hair that your hair would be if you were to twist it up. So if i were to twist up my hair, it would be as much as how much hair i have in my mouth right now: um but yeah. That'S so you can keep it very, very thin if you want it thicker. Obviously you can choose a larger piece, but i really wanted very, very thin braids and, as you can see right now, i'm even taking even some more out because even the smallest pieces of hair make all the difference when you are trying to get and achieve very Thin braids so yeah right now, i'm going to twist it up place it in my mouth and then i'm going to zoom in and slow it down for you guys. So, as i said before, the basis of everything is going to be you're going to have to split the hair in half once you split the hair in half you're, going to start your three pieces as if you were to regularly plait and then you're going to Place the hair in between your middle finger and your um index finger and then you're going to braid, as you would um. I will let you guys know now. I this is the only piece of hair that i use. I don't feed in any more hair, and so, as i continue to braid down, i'm only gon na have two pieces of hair that have extension with it and then i'm going to have one piece of hair. That is just my hair alone, which you will see in a little bit. So, as you guys can see, two pieces of hair have hair and one piece doesn't have hair. So i'm going to take some hair from either or i usually take it from the middle and then braid it with the piece of hair that doesn't have the extension with it. And once i do that, you couldn't really see see in this shot. But once i do that, i go ahead and add some gel so that the hairs can stay in place and if you would like to know which gel i use just go ahead and leave a comment below, and i can tell you which gel i use so We'Re going to repeat the process again and i'm going to zoom in and slow it down for you guys again, so you guys can see hmm so we're going to split the hair in half that section, then we are going to start our plait as usual. Three sections and then you are going to grab your piece of hair and place it in between your middle finger and your index finger, and this may change depending on, if you braid, overhand or underhand. But for me it's the index finger and the middle finger, and then i braid as accordingly when you are doing knotless braids and you are feeding it in like this. As long as you grip the pieces of hair with your hair, if you just continue braiding as if you would normally braid, then it should stay in place. So just keep trying those steps over and over again, and you will see that eventually it'll it'll just stay in place, and i will let you know now: you're not going to get it right on the first time. Trust me, my first time doing: nautilus was a disaster um, so yeah just try that out and keep practicing and just a little tip for you guys do not sit crisscross applesauce for more than two hours, because i'm in pain right now, okay! So right now i'm just going to speed it up and then come back when it's all said and done. Okay, you guys. This is the final look right now. It'S 2 30! So don't even mind my face, i'm so tired, but this is the final look and then the next steps are going to be to mousse it and then wrap it. So these are my supplies, which i'm going to show you in three two one. Oh here are the supplies. I got these on amazon, obviously um and then basically you know if you've ever got your hair braided, you just mousse it down, and then you tie it with the black wraps. This was the first time i used the black wraps and let me tell you guys: game changer, like i don't know what it is about: the mousse and the wraps, but game changer. So i highly recommend you spend that i think it was like four or five dollars just go, get it! Okay, you guys! This is the final final. Look, i'm so tired! It'S! Oh, i'm recording on my phone. It'S like two o'clock: it's like 2 30. um, but the braids are so flat. Yo, i'm like delusional, but i'm super happy with the results. It was worth it. I think it was worth it um i'll. Let you know in the morning if it's worth it. If i hop back on this video all dolled up, which i may do so but anyways, this is right after i took the wraps off and i just dipped my hair as well - and these are the ends - super thin super thin super light, um and yeah. You can do it if you put your mind to it, so just do it because it's still low-key quarantine and you don't got nothing else to do, but do your hair. So good luck, bye! Okay, you guys! As you can see, i was so delirious you guys. Don'T even know it took me 12 hours to do just this, but it was very worth it. I mean yesterday was just a whole day in my room, finishing these braids um, but, as you can see, they're super thin super thin. I think i have one two. Three, i have 38 braids, you guys 38 and they are so thin. I love them so much. I love the part um i mean, like i said before. I don't know if i actually said it, but this was my second time doing. Knotless braids. So for me to have accomplished this ciao y'all can't tell me nothing, but it definitely was a struggle to like work up to doing them, but um. If i can do it, you can do it too. So just sit down and just practice, even if you're just practicing with a regular knot just practicing with the regular knot, helped me be able to um learn how to do knotless braids. So just give it a go and let me know what happens but like comment and subscribe and i'll check you guys in the next one ciao
