Vinegar Rinsing On Kanekalon Braiding Hair- Prep For Box Braids

VINEGAR RINSING ON BOX BRAIDS

#ACVRINSINGONBRAIDINGHAIR #KANEKALONBRAIDINGHAIR

Hey guys, naturally marked here welcome back to my channel, I'm coming to you today to show you how I McClain my synthetic hair. I have this colossal line: expressions in the color xxx hair, what you'd really don't matter what their color is, but I have a really sensitive scalp. The reason why I don't wear weave that much is because my scalp is very itchy is sensitive. I get little red bumps and stuff all over my scalp, so I have not been the biggest fan of wearing synthetic hair over in the past couple of years. I'Ve only had synthetic hair in my head twice. One was when I was a kid and the second time was about eight years ago, when I had my aunt. Do my box braids the first time great. So I want to clean the synthetic hair with apple cider, vinegar, I'm gon na use, white apple, cider, vinegar to clean and hair, and I'm gon na show you guys that process. So if you do live in a house, it'll probably be a little easier. You can just go in your tub, fill up your tub and soak the hair, but I'm gon na show you the way that I'm gon na do it and it's gon na make it easier for me. So I'm gon na be using white distilled vinegar. I just got this at Walmart. It'S the great value on this is about like two dollars for these huge things, so I'm gon na just shoot over and show you how I'm going to clean my select line, hair from all the chemicals and stuff that they put on in here. They coat the hair with some type of chemical. I don't know why they put a chemical on the weave, but it's a chemical and that's what makes most people scalp like mines, get very irritated it. She and raschi. So that's why we're gon na soak it in apple, cider, vinegar and or regular vinegar. I see a lot of people do apple, cider, vinegar, but I have regular vinegar either way. I believe it work and I'm gon na just get the weave and saw it in my head and we're gon na see if it actually works or not. I got two hangers and I also have nine packs of hair when you get it out of the package. It'S gon na have a rubber band on the end of it. So what I'm gon na do is put the hair on a little hook like this and I'll probably put four on each hanger. So it sounds like this and you just pull it off and I'm gon na just clip it on this next size. I'M just gon na show you my way of cleansing the synthetic hair of all the chemicals on it. Like I said before, if you guys have a tub, then or a house, this is gon na be easier for you, but because I don't this is the way that I'm gon na clean it. So I'm gon na start out with pouring about a quarter of the white vinegar inside this tub. After I turn off the water, the water is about lukewarm, I'm just gon na place, all nine packs of hair into the lukewarm water, and the reason why is lukewarm is because the hair package says that if you use hot water, you seal it. So I didn't want to risk the chance of the water being too hot, so I'm just gon na make sure that the water is saturating and it's getting all through the synthetic hair just pushing it down and making sure that you know the apple cider vinegar is Working now after I started doing this and kept pushing it, and I was like okay - it's not that much stuff the water started getting a little cloudy. But after about three minutes of me making sure all the water is absorbed into the synthetic hair the water started. Looking really murky and it had like this layer, it was almost like an oily layer, oily foamy layer, going across the top of the water, and at this point I had grabbed my husband because I was like this is disgusting and to think the first time I Had box braids in my hair, I didn't even soak the hair. I didn't wash it like. This information was not out there in the public, so I do any type of research or any type of prep. For my my box, brace the first time, so I am so happy that there is more information out here online so that we don't have to suffer anymore as women. Now the benefits they say of soaking, the hair in apple cider vinegar, is it helps with the itchiness. Now I'm gon na tell you guys, because my box braids, are currently in my hair soaking. Your hair, in this apple, cider, vinegar, does not make your hair not itch. That is complete fiction Here. I am showing you just a foamy nastiness that came off of the hair, but, like I was saying before, this does not prevent your hair from itching. Your hair will still each, but it will not be as irritating so after I let the hair soak for about like seven hours I went outside. I did not pick this tub up. My husband picked the tub up when we went outside and dumped it, and I'm just showing you like all the oily substance that is coming off the hair and I actually have the water hose hooked up so that I could rinse the bucket out a couple of Times so I rinse the hair about nine times outside and then I came back inside refilled up the bucket with lukewarm water and I poured the rest of the bottle of apple cider, vinegar into the water, and I let it this hair soak overnight. So now. This is the next morning I let it soak for like 15 to 20 hours. This is the next morning. I am just trying to wring out as much water as I can and I'm going to let it air dry in my shower hanging, all nine packs of hair and allowing it to air dry took four days for it to air dry. You can use your blow-dryer if you would like, but I prefer to have it air, dried and the hair was not damaged, it was not ruined or anything. So this is a final result. This is the end result. I didn't think about showing you guys what it looked like dry, but I hope you guys liked this video and it has by

pbrown360: I took a braiding class at college over 25 years ago. We were taught to wash hair before using it. We were also taught not to let anyone braid your hair without putting some type of oil on your hair. I know braiders hate this but good braiders have no problem.

Raebear Alvarez: The coating is to keep the hair from mold and bacteria mostly for shipping

Bayurat Ibitola Ikupoluyi: I had an allergic reaction to the expressions extension hair before and had to have my box braids taken out two days after the installation:(

Cheyenne Nunn-Smith: Just an added tip, I used warm tap water and 2 cups of apple cider vinegar and it foamed up instantly if anyone needed any extra help

KaykePop: I soak the hair over night in a large container with apple cider vinegar in my bathtub, usually I'll do this just before going to bed. In the morning I drain the water and add some fresh warm water and let the hair soak for another hour, while I make and eat breakfast. Then I drain that water, rinse the hair under running water and then add some more warm water to the container with a few drops of conditioner mixed in then soak the hair for maybe 30 minutes more. After that I take the hair out, ring out each bundle in a towel, then hang them on my shower rail and let them dry. If I need the bundles to dry fast I'll drap them over a chair and have a fan blow on them. With the fan the bundle are usually dried in 30 minutes, about an hour for thicker or curly hair. I do this with any extension hair and for my mom's wigs when she first gets one and for whenever her wigs just need to be cleaned. You can also use clarifying shampoo instead of vinegar but to me the vinegar cleans much better, but either do a good job removing the chemicals.

Charlaine Sharp: Have you ever tried Brazilian wool yarn braids?? I used it in the past and I loved it. Looks just like braiding hair. It's Softer, and I had no itch or reaction. I just used a light Natural oil to keep my hair and scalp from getting dry.

AC Exclusive Advice: I can relate. But I only soak for minutes in vinegar water. Then rinse warm, then add conditioner to water, &last cold rinse. There is a difference.

Cal Brown: I've been washing ANY hair that I wear for over 30 years. It is best, because it is highly chemical coated and some is dirty as well. You may not see the debris until the wash job.

Crystal Campbell: Omg I never knew I could do this thanks this is very helpful

Cara J: Thank you for this tip!!! Soaking the hair now for my braid appt on Saturday.

Fort Worth Entrepreneur 💋: Thanks so much for this upload. I read about doing this years ago and I'm glad I came across again. I will be attempting to braid my hair with some synthetic hair I bought. The reasoning that I read for the soaking was to rid the hair of any possible chemicals that would act as a relaxer to natural hair. But you're doing it for skin sensitivity reasons right? the information I initially came across was about soaking the hair in neutralizing shampoo. What are your thoughts on that?

Cherie Amore: I usually soak my braiding hair overnight in apple cider vinegar works for me and then I add a little conditioning on the synthetic hair I cannot use it straight out the packet it itches my hair too much . So this method it a HUGEHELP

Smore Queen: Definitely going to do this next one because this corespondent hair is making my scalp so itchy rn. Especially around my perimeter

jada janine: Thanks for sharing! Does this make the weave have a crunchy feeling after it's dried?

I Am Peaches: It’s information out there but not enough because that film isn’t Dirt it’s the chemicals they soak the hair in to keep it from getting bacteria on it & the foam is due to the cigar mixing with it if you do the same method & drop a crayon in it you would get the same foam

Clover Lewis: Wow. I have tried this method on faux locs, I let it soak for 12 hours and no film or anything came off. I then had it installed and it still itches like crazy - more my eyes than my scalp. Unbearable... disappointed as was not expecting it to continue! Has this happened to anyone else?

ma nelle: omg! Look at me washing with conditionned water 10 minutes before installing my braids danm! So I'll do this like tmr for my apptmnt on the 25 th!! Thx for sharing. This nasty shit we put in our hair when that xpression is not pre washed!

Karlee Craziness: Does this help get rid of the smell that the synthetic hair has?

Shari James: You used distilled white vinegar. Try ACV Apple cider vinegar next time.

mattie Simmons: Enjoyed the video..Only wish we could’ve seen the hair when it dried.. I will try this next time.Only because my scalp is very sensitive as well

Be&Me247 E: Bragg's Apple Cider Vinegar is the best one to use for this it's your scalp and hair, scalp is skin.

Erica Jones: There is no such thing as white ACV. It’s just regular vinegar. The comments have been helpful!

Baby TT: That braiding hair is itchy AF! I bought the janet one and it was soooo itchy on my hair, I’m gonna try this next time.

John J: It’s “synthetic hair” it’s literally in the name. (of a substance) made by chemical synthesis, especially to imitate a natural product.

so.many.obstacles: I get that people are talking about the chemicals in the hair and it’s facts. But don’t negate other things that you put on your body and IN your body. you can’t have a piss poor diet, wear Bath & Bath Works, and be concerned only about chemicals from braiding hair.

Esi Fante: Its sooo crazy I ran to get my husband to show him when I washed the hair.

Loves: I guess the reason your hair itches so much is because your putting synthetic hair in your scalp and just synthetic hair in general can just irritate the skin and scalp

kind spirit 1991: Excellent method

Living Modestly Naturally DIYz: This video proves that the hair that God gives us that is growing out of our scalp is enough. We don't need these extensions filled with chemicals. It's best to stay away from synthetic hair, human hair, etc and just use your own hair.

TheMiss600: I was thinking about getting extensions again. You just reminded me of of the reasons why I stopped!

Nilajah Rivers: Doing this made my xpressions braiding hair so tangled. I'm not blaming you as I got the idea to do this from Naptural85. But I can't find any videos on how to deal with the tangles now present in this hair after the vinegar water bath. This is my first time braiding hair and I have no idea what to do now. I had to get rid of the chemical on the hair because I am allergic to it. But now I feel like my money just went down the drain! The more I brush the hair the more it sheds out, even though I hold it so that it will shed as little as possible. And when I finish brushing and I try to take it apart, it's still tangled.

Alonzal Brown: Does doing this make the hair brittle or anything?

jamie homer: Can I use this method on colored purple to pink hair.

Christine W: damn, there needs to be hair without all those chemials, because tbh nobodys spending 5+ days PREPING the braid hair. This is nasty though, wheres the regulation-wonder if any of those chemicals are harmful to growth and are working against protective style theyre in

Amanda Leter: I just added 350ml (1st time) and 500ml (2nd time) of white vinegar in a half bucket fill with warm water but I didn’t see no foam in it... am I doing something wrong?

CharlotteDujour Morris: Thanks for sharing You're right I soaked my hair in vinegar and still my scalp was itching. I just don't know what to do. there are so many nice synthetic hair patterns and I can't use anyone of them.

Bella: Do you recommend this for Marley hair too?

AmorrBaby: Before youtubers took over beauticians always told you to wash the hair ‍♀️ synthetic or real

Divinely Cocoa: This hair is banned in parts of Africa because it’s toxic

Ivy Quainoo: Why would you dump the chemical water into the grass tho? ‍♀️

Akiba Allen: Thank you for the information I will be doing this today

Be&Me247 E: If you have itchy scalp from not wearing braids if you do you have bacteria on your scalp shampooing your hair with the appropriate high alkaline shampoo once not so often will another good moisture cleansing shampoo often will cure your scalp follow up with good moisture conditioning conditioner will help. Cleansing your scalp regular with a good clarifying shampoo does the job and a great dermatologist. I learned this trick with braid hair using Briggs only Apple cider vinegar

Nikki Wood: They use formaldehyde which causes cancer and skin irritation

Diva MoonStar: What did you all expect? It not hair LOL

Divine Wellness With Kim: Apple cider vinegar makes my scalp itch. Is there anything else that I can wash the kanekalon hair with?

Wole pyro: Wait what about human braiding hair is it the same or is it different

LaTrice: You are not using ACV tho

Maria Sacramento: Maria Claudia Brasil são Paulo por favor traduza em português.

Everything Herbal: Thank you for sharing

Ms Texas: Why do you keep saying apple cider when its regular distilled?

Phylis: Excellent

Sherry Ann Todd: I don't think that it's a fair statement to say that it won't stop the hair from itching, because it has worked for many people, you could say that your head still itch but to say it's a myth isn't a true statement, because it means that you will be speaking for everyone who ever did this procedure ...

Hadara M: I tried it and if the there was nothing coming out of the hair can i use it?

Blackisbetterthanpink Pink: Does the water have to be cold or hot?

Norma Valdez: There is a video here on YouTube cant remember the young lady name we need to stop putting those things in our hair do your research sistahs please the chemicals they are using to make these hair is doing more harm to us than good.

Quiet Storm: Would a touch of Vaseline help after washing and drying? It's a skin protectant so...Let's be honest, Black people need some grease okaaay

Donnie Lindon: Stay safe much love.

Yolanda Hall: The 30’is worse!! That is favorite color it was worse than the black

K̶I̶K̶I̶'S̶ W̶O̶R̶L̶D̶: Did it had an after smell of vingery after you wash it out I should start doin this I be having itchy scalp

T Becks: AWESOME SAUCE!!!!

Kimberly fields: That's y our hair so stagnant an break sometimes too much harmful chemicals

hey its Lisa Cool: Too much to go through... I just wouldn’t purchase this hair

Millicent Lopez: If its so toxic why are you not wearing GLOVES?

Nia Rose: I did what you did and nothing came out, idk why :(

Mally 17_17:

Incognitoria Anonymousita: Wow ‍♀️
