Its time for another protective style. Im lovin me some crochet braids and I watched few videos, including one by @virtuousladyamber for crochet braids using kanekalon braid hair.

it worked out pretty well. Im sorta happy with it. it took lots of razoring and blow drying to shape it to an acceptable style.

Hey youtube: it's Lydia, coming at you with another video and in this video I'd like to show you my new protective hairstyle. I just barely did this, like. I literally got done about 10 minutes ago and it is a crochet weave with the cheap jumbo braid kanekalon hair, and I have a three three-and-a-half packs. Then I put in here I cut it in half it came out so so thick and I had to spend the whole um. You know the whole last 30 minutes just raising it. So I actually you know, I'm still trying to figure out how I want to wear this style. I did kind of an asymmetrical thing with my razor. I don't know how straight it is in the back well just showing yeah anyway. That is it. It took me a lot longer than I thought it was going to take me um, probably about five hours. It just takes a lot longer to fill in um to fill in the crochet. You know to just crochet in all the hair. I think with it straight when it's curly hair - it's just, I think, has a lot more volume, so you can leave a lot more spaces and I'm kind of struggling with whether or not I like this part. You know anyway, so y'all tell me what you think. I don't know how long I'm going to wear it for, but this is just what I'm doing, and I actually kind of want to find a way to get some texture in here and not necessarily with curlers or anything. But if I could get like a good wavy, maybe I'll do a braid out if there are any suggestions for what I could do, um yeah to just not have this super straight awkward, sort of awkward, hair, sort of cute sort of awkward. You know um anyway. Let me know if you have any suggestions and leave comments and subscribe thanks. A lot bye, bye,

VogueDollRose: ❤Love your hair!❤

AerialAdebowale: Very pretty! !

Samantha Young: Suggestions: you can get by with 1.5 packs or at the most 2.5 of hair. Also, if you make sure the visible parts (edges and parts) are CLOSELY crocheted you can then make the unexposed area (middle sections) loosely crocheted-- 1-3 inches btw each crochet. TRUST ME, this will save you about 2+ hrs. Plus, you want have to go through and "thin" it out. Otherwise, it is SUPER CUTE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lydiakia: aw thanks!! I cleaned up the cut a little and its its growin' on me!

KingKeke: Your cut your hair in almost a scene type hair and I love it, now I'm inspired

Lydiakia: Thank you and thanks for watching!!!!

KrissyKurls: This really fits your face. For a " wave" pattern use flexi rods or jumbo perm rods and dip the hair in hot water. Dont roll it too tightly. Let the rods sit overnight. A voila' you should love the results! Hope it works out.

T-La Owens: love the cut!

Lydiakia: Thanks so much! thanks for watching!

Levella Trader: This is beautiful

Touri Holmes: Looks great . Try straightening it with a hot comb or flat iron on a low heat setting

Lydiakia: Thanks! Appreciate the feed back! :)

Charlene Nantch: my hair is bouncy!!! too looks soo natural!!

Lydiakia: thanks for watching!

Akushika Gone Natural: luks GORG on u hun...i'll try it soon...n hope it comes out like urs...LOVE e layered look:)

Lydiakia: Gonna try the flexi rods next time!

Lydiakia: no question Ive been obsessing on the kinky twist crochet look for way longer. I just have a crush on that look. has nothing to do with which one lasted but its just a style preference. My most current look is longer crochets and its a remixed crochet with afro kinky twist hair and Ive randomly twisted some of the hair and braided it out. its funky. I really like it.

Naijaa_Queen98: you should wave it so that you could put more volume into it and just braiding it big to have that thick and full look

nevah8tn: That is funky! I like.....super cute

erinairy: Would you do a braid pattern video if you do a crochet weave?

Lydiakia: Thanks!

Vonetta Roseman: Which crochet did you wear longer, the jumbo or kinky twist?

Staci Bruce: I like it

TheQueenBarb: Looks good on you.

R C: Duuudeeee, this ish is awesome. This is old-school goth worthy....So cool if you use a bit of color!

WaffleFace23 23: did you use the same pattern has the kinky twist style you did before?

sensimania: Did it shed a lot? How did you go about straightening the hair? Blow dry? Hot water?

Lydiakia: thx love!

blabbitymouf: You are VERY beautiful!!!!

Yvonne Caddell: It's cute how it is

Lydiakia: Im watching scandal right now! thanks for watching!

Empress BlacCC: To cover the hump.. just crochet hair near the part where there is no braid this method will cover the hump...do them smaller and as many as u like to make it look natural

Mindset Olympics: I love your voice!

Cali9000: Are you from Cali? Because you sound like me lol Love this look!  I would *totally* rock this with the same smoked out black liner =)

Lydiakia: OH! that would be soooo cute! unfortunately I left my crimper in 1989 ;) jk jk. Im sure I could find one. Thats a great suggestion!

Renee Spearman: I REALLY DO LIKE THE HAIR ACTUALLY THE STYLE IS GORGEOUS ON U NOW AS FAR AS THE HAIR AT THE TOP DO TINY BRAIDS THAT WAY ITLL BE CLOSER LESS KNOTS SHOWING...but over all I think its cute..

jasmine: Can you make a shaping video?

KO Doom: your smile. is freaking. beautiful

AerialAdebowale: Bantu knot it..its what im gonna do!!

Chabriya Harris: Ur pretty and ur hair is rocking

Joanne Norlean: Looking good but next time try to leave a little bite of ur hair out to cover the hair

Lydiakia: I wanna say yes, but I dont know when I'm wearing this look again!... teasedblackpearlz has a great video on creating an a line/assymetrical look. search teasedblackpearlz "How I cut and razored my ombre bob" on ytube. hope that helps!

Snow Oh: You remind me of Kerry Washington :) pretty hair btw!!

cactushart: Ur very pretty!

Starr Smith: you're so cute :)

maciline0: It's lux like emo hair... I like emo hair :-)

Mary Brown: Flat iron it or curl it

Eternity Stone: Did you use a gaurd on your razor? Its a bit choppy

Lydiakia: Yes I did!

Lydiakia: oh gosh... doubt it..but thanks!

Lydiakia: I have no idea. im sure any Kanekalon would work

Queen Taylor: it's alright, I don't like how the back look or the part that's just my opinion though :)

Demetris Sheppard: How did u heard d the edges? Straight back or out n around perimeter. Of head or what

Charlene Nantch: ama do a bob when mine gets older

Z dawg: Your hair is bmb

Talking With AT: crimper, idk if anyone else still has one bt thats wat i use lol

Tina_kit: Cute

jessihyde66: Get a freind to help you curl over you bangs with rollers and hot water and curl under the back to give a bob style look.

Z dawg: Well u put too much hair at the part

Ama A: My name is Lydia to lol are you Ghanaian?

Teleaha McCrory: I'm sorry but that doesn't look good at all. Very sloppy

jessypooh24: U look like a barbie doll

Camille Ashford: it's ok but the but is horrible maybe should of gotten someone else to do it
