Knotless Braids Film Part 2

Part 2 of filming a video. Come talk to me!

You, yes, i'm back here. I am back you what's up y'all, which i've been up to while i've been going, i'm filming a youtube video right now, so that's why i decided to go live. I got some blonde hair early on my life. I was showing you all how to tuck for knotless, as well as in regular box braids and, as i stated before, you know i tuck to the best of my ability, so how y'all enjoying your new year so far, okay, so so yeah make sure y'all go. Follow me on instagram, at only one underscore diva o-n-l-y, o n e underscore d. I v a a um, so this is basically - and i mean you know it - has - that black showing a bit you can always even in some areas right here, like i said i tuck to the best of my ability. You know i don't charge extra to tuck. None of that i just tell my clients straight up. I took to the best of my ability. You know that's just that i'm gon na stick this up now, don't mommy uh, i'm just trying to figure that away, because i'm also filming a youtube video. So i'm trying to figure out a way to do both at one time hold on. So what's one of your favorite videos of my which video is one of yours, favorites yeah, quiet on here tonight, yeah i was amped earlier. So what i'm working on now is really trying to perfect my tucking for the not let's just start up here. So i'm about to do this section right here see if i can get any better by using the different braiding technique you so so what's the area in your life right now, where you feel like you need to work the hardest at like right now, what do You feel you need to work on. I wonder if this technique is gon na work. I feel like it's taking me longer to breathe, though honestly, like, i really don't even know what kind of technique this is, i think i'm doing it wrong. It got it like more tucked, but so do you pronounce your name jemima how you doing boo? I wish the camera was closer. Oh, let me see if i can get it just a little closer hold on. Oh, like auntie, mama pancakes, that's cute! Are you using the tuck method, i'm assuming i am honestly, i really don't. I honestly don't be know knowing like uh all the terminology of things so, like i just braid, that's off, subject for me being like an actual cosmetologist, though that has nothing to do with me being actual cosmetologists and all my terminology, that's just as far as with Braiding, i don't really know like the actual techniques, because i i still try to figure out. Am i like a underhanded or over handed braider? I still get confused with that. I really because i brace like, as far as like my feedings, i braid super weird, like i braid, like a spider like my hands. Look like spiders when i breathe for feedings and stuff so see this one did tuck more um, and i just i placed the sections like over like that, instead of feeding it under as i did um. Thank you. Thank you. Martina. It just depends on the actual size, and it also depends on the client's like head, because it could take me, let's just say, six to eight hours for hours for one medium head client. But then it could take me eight to ten hours for the same size. On a different client, so it just all depends. That'S why i can't ever really give like my clients like an exact time frame. I always give them wide time frames because i hate to feel like box stand rest in a time because, like i said again, every client is different, so you know i know people sometimes like to schedule things after their hair appointment. You know, but i don't like right, af directly after i, rather you like you know, i would rather give you like a wide time frame so just in case um. We are running behind for any reason. You know there won't be no issue. Thank you. Margie small takes me seven to nine hours till i'm braided from london by the way. Oh, my gosh shout out to you shout out to you, london. I appreciate you boo, where y'all from where else y'all from london in the house, all right and y'all y'all got ta. Excuse me: okay, i do not do lives at all so, like i'm really trying to like you know, as i was saying on my live earlier, that i did you know, i'm really not um like a big talker like that, especially like an initiator like i probably Wouldn'T be the person that's gon na initiate a conversation besides asking you as a client like how you doing, and it's not me being rude, i just you know but like once i get comfortable around you. I may talk a little more though i may talk a little too much. It just depends, but nine times out of ten. I just don't really talk like that. So but i'm trying to get out of i'm trying to get out of the hole, not talking things so much. I guess okay, so that's how that looked when i actually took the sections over instead of under so i'm gon na try one more time and we're gon na see exactly how i did this thing because yeah like it's just uh, i like this last one. You did thank you. Thank you yeah. I guess i just got ta find that that pace with technique. As far as tucking yeah, like i understand you, know, clients, you know one a time like you know. Do you know when you think you will be done or whatever, but honestly like? I just can't. I can't give like the exact time. I just can't you know, and the crazy part is. I really don't take break like the only time i actually take breaks on. Clients is to use the restroom literally, like i don't take lunch breaks or the only other time i might take a break is, if i feel like you know, i'm getting lightheaded or whatever and i have to eat and honestly, like that's, really not a good thing. So to anyone out there who you know, do service clients make sure you add a lunch break in that period. It'S vital that you add lunch break. I know i know i'm talking you know. I don't do that, but i'm just saying you know it is way better to actually get that break in and eat. Okay, so we're gon na do okay. So i want to take this braid under, but i know when i placed it like that, the last time it actually tucked. So let me see. Oh and you know what yeah you know what you know. What else i started doing. I actually started braiding down one one before adding in the hair, so let's do that first and let's see if that come out better, are you leaving this video up? Yes, i am, do you sit down while doing hair? I sometimes tell my heart. I actually do not sit down at all. I don't keep a uh um a chair, a high school. I do not sit down at all. I stand the whole entire time. Everyone is different, you know, but me i just i have to stand up. You know. I start sitting down you know and then i might start feeling lazy. I might start feeling like i'm taking longer. I may start slouching and i don't need to be sitting nowhere with my about my back all slouched and stuff, and i just you know everyone is different, but there's just something that i just choose not to do like. I cannot sit down what i'm doing here. Yeah, i am also filming for my youtube channel so um. I know you may not be able to see exactly what i'm doing, but once i upload the video to my channel, you all will be able to see exactly what i did on live and see another another problem that i have too with tucking i get like. I get to the point once i like tuck all this right here and like that thin. It'S like you could kind of see the natural hair, but then you kind of can't, but you can, i start just being like man and that's. Why again i say i tell my clients i took to the best of my ability, because sometimes like tucking gets tedious and i'll start getting irritated. So, okay, maybe if i okay, so it seems like it seems like you just got ta really like find your actual. I can't find the word for it, but i guess you have to like feed it in over and under to an extent. Oh no yeah, i don't mind me, i'm just trying to figure out how to like tuck a not list like all the way. All the way, it's way easier for me to took a box braid a regular box braid way easier. I don't have to go through all this so mark, so i will tell you one thing, though i don't blame people that do charge extra tough. I mean me personally, i feel like this people. Prices are people prices. You know period whether you agree with the price or not. That'S that person's price. You know what i'm saying so it's like. If somebody want to charge 50 extras to tuck, you know, that's they business, literally, that's their business, literally, like literally, who are we to tell them that they are wrong to do that regardless or you know, however, we feel with, and that just takes me back on The whole again, as we were talking about earlier, like respect you know, we can agree to disagree to any and everything, but the bottom line of it all is respect yeah exactly like. If they want to pay. You know. If a client want to pay, then they will definitely pay. You know it's. It'S literally 50 million stylists out here seriously. You know i did actually get it better too. You can kind of still see the black but honey. To me. That'S the best of my ability for real for real, because i'm a perfectionist and i'll be here all day on one braid seriously seriously so but yeah like, i just feel like people just forget at the end of the day. It'S all about respect. You know i don't too much comment on what people have to say about things like that, especially like you know, um. When i be seeing posts and stuff like that, because i mean at the end of the day you know people just they're gon na think or feel how they feel period, it's just like with so. As you all know, i am local. If you don't know, i am actually located in south carolina, okay and in south carolina. State law is, if you are a licensed braider, you are only legally uh permitted to um service clients with braids locks, things of that nature in the state of south carolina. You cannot even do so ends now someone else's cell phone. You can correct me if i'm wrong, you know, but this is what what i've actually been told, calling state board myself. You cannot do sew-ins and frontals and closures, but you cannot shampoo hair as a licensed braider in south carolina, and so i see a lot of people. You know they talk junk about stylists and you know this is not the case for everyone. It might be lazy. Stars, i don't know that ain't, none of my business, i don't care, but the just of it all is, i feel, like a lot of people are not educated on a lot of the laws that goes on, because, of course, if you aren't a person that that Does hair or that's you know, educated in hair period, whether you do it or not, of course, you're not going to know so, of course, you're going to assume that you know everybody's supposed to shampoo hair. But that's not the case. You know, and even if it was a case where a stylist was, i guess, quote, unquote, lazy or didn't want to shampoo hair. You know to each his own. You know i've seen people saying the stylist is trifling nasty now granted certain services that require shampooing um immediately before you know getting service like uh, let's just say a blowout or um uh like a blowout, a chemical service. You know something like that. That'S gone like, of course, you're like of course, but because braiders and braiders are not even permitted to do anything in that field anyway, like i said this strictly to do the the few services that i listed earlier, but that's just the just of that. You know so um me personally, i am a licensed cosmetologist and i do i do um. I give my clients an option. Okay, i give my clients an option because honey, it is 2021.. Everybody in a mom's is natural, so the whole wash the shampoo service. It'S literally a a whole nother service. Also, you started with braiding a little first then feeding in over and under yeah. That'S what it seemed like. I braided one time and then i started adding the hair over and then i started. I probably did over one two. Three four five and then i did the rest going under and that's how the break came out. So, as you can see the progress of me trying to tuck successfully, that's the best looking one i've done - and this is just a regular box - braid of course um. So yeah, like you know i i i'm not one to if you go on my social media accounts, i'm not that type of stylist that's about to be sitting on there. You know bashing people period. You know i'm saying i'm just not that type of person like i'm not perfect granted, but i'm just not that type of person like i've had i've had um things happen to me in the hair industry. That was actually worth posting about. You know, and i'm saying worth posting about in a sense of this is what was needed to know, but at the same time you know that's just not it's not my it's not my thing. You know, that's not my thing, i don't bash and i don't want to be the one getting bashed and, like i tell all my clients period, if you ever have a problem hit me up, that's it just hit me up. We don't have to um. Do all that extra stuff that negativity and like that we don't have to go through all that. Just hit me up, so we can fix the problem period because i'm not perfect, i'm not a robot. You know i mean i make mistakes like you know. That'S human life and if people realize that you know, people are not perfect and if the people that do mess up realize that, actually you know um taking accountability for their mistakes. You know it just works on both ends. You know, that's just how it goes like. You'Re not gon na always have all your clients are not always gon na. Be satisfied like remember that you know, even if you feel like listen, let me tell you i've seen people say you know. This is the first time i've never had this type of issue before any other client. Yes, clearly that may be the case, but the there's an issue. Now you know what i'm saying. So you don't want the client to feel like they're. Not you know in a sense i'm looking for a word, but you just want to take accountability. You know just take accountability. That'S all fix. The problem fix the problem, that's it yeah yeah, like yeah. Like i just me, i it's like you know. I understand. I understand if you want to let someone know that your service was not satisfactory or you wan na. You know warm like i get i just you know. I just like i've said i've been in certain situations in myself and everyone's different, so i'm not saying don't get my words twisted. Okay, everybody they do their business differently, i'm not stepping on nobody toes and i'm not about to be sitting over here like oh, that was wrong. I'M not doing all that, i'm not the social media police, i'm just saying how i feel for my business period and that everyone runs their business differently. You know, and so every client is not for every stylist and vice versa, and that's okay. That is like absolutely. Okay, you know it's: okay, it's not gon na kill you for real, and i want. I want my stylist out there to remember that you cannot satisfy every client, like whatever type of i don't know what you want to call it, but i'm gon na put it to you straight up. Get get get that out your mind period like you have to prepare yourself for the worst and the best of things, and you got ta understand that every day is not gon na be a perfect day for you. You know i go through my moves and sometimes i'll be on the client, and i'm like damn like. I just feel like. I just feel like my this. This style is just not like today is just not my day like today is just not my day. You know, but you got ta get past it, because we we don't always have perfect days like we don't, but when our days are not so perfect and we do make those mistakes again, we need to be held accountable. You know we need to take accountability. For that, so that the client understands like wow, my style is she's, not perfect, but she's always worth it. She'S always honest, you know and guess what guess one thing about me, i'm still strict. As far as my business, like you know, i love my clients and my clients know my clients know like i really do love them. You know what i'm saying and i know they love me bad. You know, and they respect me and i respect them and they trust me with their hair, and i trust that you know that they that they, they like their services afterwards and they're satisfied and if they're not. I trust that they'll come back and tell me you know, so you just have to build those relationships with your clients. That'S just period build that relationship. You know a lot of us could be i'm not even gon na say a lot. All of us could be so much more greater if we really believe that within ourselves, are you braiding the whole head? No, no um, i'm thinking about starting videos where i actually do braid like the whole mannequin. You know, while um i'm not servicing clients and stuff. Just to keep some videos up, keep some videos going and actually show a more creative side of me because of a lot of my clients, you know, and the professions that they're in and et cetera, et cetera, it does not permit them to. You know be extra alive, so hey c. I wanted to do this. Look soon. Yes, girl! Yes, do you ever have bees to it? If my clients, you know, want that stuff, my clients, they, like, i said, a lot of them they're in professions where they can't really do like too much so a lot of times, i'm limited on like the colors. I can do the limbs. You know. So, that's why i think i'm gon na start doing more videos with mannequins so that i can show more of my uh creative side, because one thing about me: honey, i'm, a pisces and you know we creative as hell. Oh, so you brave sony! Thank you boo. It'S america again locked down we locked down here, but a lot of home raiders are still are still servicing cause. We'Ve been locked down too many times and a lot hasn't changed. Oh man, oh yeah, some states are, i guess, still doing um like shutdowns, but our state in particular, of course, no like where we are pretty much. As i know, besides having like a um a time where we can't drink, you know stuff closing early and things of that nature, and i mean they are practicing social discipline and everything like that. But besides that, no like pretty much you know just keeping it safe. Go to work normal everything else. That'S sad, though it's a lot of stuff going on in the world right now. It really is it's like so so much stuff going on in the world as a whole, like the energy is just everywhere. You know it's everywhere, sad. My p, i got some people in wisconsin, yeah yeah america is definitely there. Huh yeah girl, listen y'all, already know how they got into the capitol y'all already know how they got into the k. Y'All um! Listen! It'S sad! It'S really sad like it really is. You know it really is it's so crazy? How you know you see certain things on tv, you know what i'm saying but to actually live it totally different and then for those who are actually, you know um catching like the virus and like that, like it's just so it's sad. You know people don't like the whole just said like right now, you've been talking about it, it's just so sad. So it's so much energy like it's so much sad energy. So sad, you know so sad. This is crazy. It really is um. I'M just gon na. Do one more knotless, braid and then probably another box braid, and i think i want to show y'all how to do how i've been doing my butterfly locks. I don't have no spring to its hair right now, so i'm just gon na try with the uh and normally i use to wrap my locs. I use um freetress water wave, but this time i got did i even get one of them. What is this? What kind of curly hair is this? I don't think this. Oh my gosh, i got the wrong anywho, so i got some type of lulutress um here. Let'S see how that go, but y'all, just whatever y'all do continue. Staying positive, try to relax your mind because anxiety is no joke and you would really feel like, like i'm telling you don't freak out, you know try to put that paranoia in the back of your head as much as you can seriously yeah. It is yes see. It'S a lot of stuff going on. It really is every social media ban trump from speaking, which i don't agree on. You know what i feel like me personally, i feel like, and i just feel like this i feel like if they listen, they gon na ban. Whoever they wan na ban period they gon na do that whenever they wan na do it, however, they feel so if they really wanted to ban him, and i ain't even this is just me - you know why wait till now to do it. That'S all i'm saying you know: do i wait till now to do it? You know why why i just feel like sometimes stuff is like allowed to the point where it gets like you know, and then it's like. I can't really explain it, but hopefully y'all understand what i'm saying you know: yeah yeah, yeah, atlanta and l.a. I still want to go to california. What else is being underwrite exactly exactly exactly as for me. I keep my trust in god and that's believe nothing against others. Oh definitely, oh definitely! Oh definitely. You know one thing about me that i tell that i tell any and everybody i am like such a. I am such a i'm trying to find a word. Besides understanding, but you can literally talk to me about anything, even if i don't agree with whatever you're saying you can still talk to me, because i'm not that type of person like oh you're wrong and, like i respect people like, i really do, i respect people's Different beliefs, i respect how people feel i respect it all. You know what i'm saying it doesn't it doesn't take much to respect the person whether y'all agree on something or not. It doesn't take nothing to respect a person. You know it's just all about respect. That'S just period, you know i'm the type of person i'm and i and i'm real, big and secure on my belief. You know what i'm saying so, i'm the type of person shoot. I want to know other people's beliefs, and i want to know you know why you believe in that or why you don't, if you don't believe, believe anything higher. I want to know why to me. I feel like it's your own journey. Like you know, you you experience and go through whatever you experience and go through in your life. Who am i to tell you, you know how your beliefs in everything else should be? That'S not that's not nah nah nah, i'm not about to be put in all my energy every day, all day trying to no, because at the end of the day you know we all going through our journeys in life and going through different things and experiencing different Things some of us may be going through, you know, but everyone's different, you know, so respect is like the biggest thing of it all. You know whether you are a trump supporter, a biting supporter. You know i'm full with the government. Oh, you know, i mean just respect, that's just that i feel like people should be able to feel how they feel but be respect, be respectful about it. People can't be respectful about it and that's the problem. There'S no type of respect at all. You know, and then they look for for people to respect when there is no respect. That'S how i feel. Oh man yeah. Thank god. You did survive the coronavirus, yeah wow yeah, that's crazy! The social media will drag you if you don't agree, we'll never get nowhere with that type of mindset. Yeah they will drag you honestly. I don't even put me personally, i don't put. I don't too much put how i feel about um politics or you know, beliefs or anything like that, because, again, that's that is really how i feel like i don't i don't knock. Nobody like my my belief is strong. All i ask, is you know you just respect, respect me, that's it don't try to put no type of other energy on me and i'm telling you this is my belief. You know now we're not doing all that. You know you know, and that goes for anybody. Anybody respect me whether you don't like me for the person that i am the color of my skin. The way i talk the way i walk cool perfectly fine, but respect me, that's it and i feel like if people just respected people more than you know, but i tell you: respect goes out the window when it comes to politics and religion really when it comes To politics and religion, i mean a lot of a lot of subject. I honestly, you know respect, but those two men that i feel respect just goes completely out the window. You know, because people look at me crazy. When i tell them, i don't vote, you know what i'm saying. I have my reasons but now check this out. I don't vote, but, however, people feel about how they feel is how they feel i'm not about to tell you if you vote you wrong or if you don't vote, i'm not that type of person. You know i'm saying if you vote, i'm that type of person like all right. Well, i don't vote, but you vote so you know make sure you get out there and vote. You know that's what you believe in so stand on what you believe in that's the type of person that i am you know, i'm saying i ain't that type of person that oh i'm not like, that, i respect people and what they and how they feel period. Oh yeah, the shade room is girl. The night just here learn to pray, where's the topic good night nina. Yes, you do so sad. We should be. We should be able to agree yeah exactly right right, exactly all right. So this is another and, like i said y'all i am on live right now, but i'm actually filming a video for this as a tutorial. So, if you're, actually here for like learning to braid and everything like that um, you may want to wait until the video is posted. Thank you. Bull yeah, pretty much like trying to figure out how to all the way perfect, like knotless tucking. At this point you know i i went to this is crazy, because i went to a church before right while we're on a thing of politics. I just want to get this out there, but i went to the church before and um. You know back in at that time it was um, donald trump and hillary clinton running and the pastor got up there and basically - and no, let me rephrase that he didn't. Basically his exact words were if you did not vote between donald trump and hillary clinton. We forgive you or the lord, forgive you for your sin. Okay, i'ma! Just leave it there. So respect is the the biggest thing. No, i said i was gon na. Do one more knotless, but since i'm making this video for the channel, i'm gon na just do one more and you know i think that's why another reason why my clients love to talk to me, because i'm such a person like yo when i yo, when i Tell y'all you can literally tell me anything like literally tell me anything like for real for real, like for real for real. You really can you know. I take my clients, like my client's. Appointments are like i take them, sometimes like therapy sessions for real seriously. You know you when you people got a lot of stuff going on and it's not really a lot of places that you can really go and and be able to like sit down and relax and you know and enjoy nice and quiet. While you getting like services, you know, so i try to make sure that i really um dedicate my clients time. Sorry y'all. I have ran out of hair, but this was actually looking good. I'M gon na take this out, though, cause i'm about to go in the box breathe. I don't feel like what i'm gon na do. Is i'm just gon na go ahead and um, probably starting this weekend, i'm gon na probably just start doing full video of like servicing uh, well servicing my mannequin all the way from start to finish. Oh, you, a nursing, but you bright on the side girl. You sitting on money, money money, you should judge another one preach loving and to love is to respect exactly all those religious narcissists in the church. Judging of the yeah like yeah, like listen, that's why i say you know people will be people, you know what i'm saying. People will definitely be people, but at the end of the day, don't let that you know all right so we're gon na go to the box. Braid yeah yeah. Definitely a therapist. We like we be everything everything everything at that session. You know that's why i find it so crazy, like when people tell other people business, you know if i'm going to you to get my hair done, and you know clearly i'm venting to you and telling you things i feel like it just should stay there, like Y'All i'm actually married, like i have a whole wife, okay, legit, whole wife, okay, i don't come home and tell my wife conversations that i have with my client like i just i just feel like. What'S the point of that, you know what i'm saying like. What'S the point of that now, if it's something that happened like say, for instance, if it's something that happened like um, like god forbid me and my client got into altercation, or something like that, like a misunderstanding, you know what i'm saying something like that. Of course, i'm like oh babe, you know, guess girl, like guess what happened today. You know what i'm saying like. I can't believe this happened, but i'm talking my actual like conversations and stuff nah. Like i don't know, i don't have to pillow talk with my wife about my clients, conversation. I can find other topics to talk about. I can certainly find other stuff to talk about. So you know: okay, okay, so this one doll right there box work, that's medium size, i'm getting i'm getting those this weekend. Is that medium size of small, which one will the regular box braids this right here uh. I will put this, as i think my mediums may be a little bigger than this, so this will probably be small. This will probably be small. This would lean more towards small yeah, because this one is thicker than that one. So this would be kind of like medium somewhere. I'M on that line. Oh my yo yo, i'm not even gon na lie to you i'll, be having some wow stories. You know. Sometimes i just be like damn. I wish i could tell somebody, but that's just i can't i can't so i just you know, wait till they come back and get an update, but i'll be like oh girl. What happened? You know? I don't do all that. You know i just you know. You know how you been doing boo, how everything's been going, but you know i'll, say everything getting better yeah bail and then it's back at it without that, that's how you know, i'm saying so how to how do i make all the braids the same size honestly, I'M still trying to perfect that making all my braids like the same exact size. That'S just one thing that i try not to too much dwell on because again i'll be here for the rest of my life, trying to perfect that i just eyeball and really, like you know to my liking, get them as close as close as possible. You know what i'm saying: that's, that's all you can really do so. I yeah is this the rubber method um, but it's not no! No. I literally just took it and um matter of fact. I'Ll show you another one. So this is the section i have for box braids. Maybe what i'll do is i'll see if um? This is what i'm gon na. Do. I'M gon na talk to i'm gon na talk to a few clients and i'ma see if they want to do a story time. You know i'm saying and we gon na keep it moving like that. How long have you been braiding? I'Ve been braiding since i have been oh, my gosh really little. I did my first human head at nine, so i was braiding barbies before then, but i actually became licensed to braid like 2011 12 - something like that. But then i actually got my cosmetology license. 2015.. So yeah i've actually been yeah because i've been i've been servicing clients since, like 2008, like 2011, something like that. Yes, sip is okay, my type of part, that's what i'm talking about literally definitely will sip definitely will do that. Definitely, and they better be lucky. They better be lucky to get there and make a better cut. Look. I couldn't even say it how i wanted to say that y'all cause i didn't want. You know, but y'all know what i'm saying. I took myself as long as there need a few gon na. Be off i mean: okay, hey, hey, look, us is stylist, we know, we know the little. You know i'm saying a little trick. Sister, we get i'll, be done, listen. We know, you know what i'm saying. Sometimes you just got ta. Let it slide if it can. If it can, if it can go through, if that quality checker is passable, it can't really detect it. You know, but um yes see so i literally just so so how long it took used to perfect the braids, i'm still kind of perfecting them. Honestly, like honestly, but to a point where i got real comfortable, i want to say i want to say a year. Maybe dragging it, but that's what i want to say now mind y'all. I always been i've always done like box braids singly twists, like that, you know what i'm saying but um. I actually have just started doing the actual feeding braids um 2016., and i actually went viral several times. This was before i even got on youtube or anything like that. I actually went viral like several times on my facebook page for just doing feeding braids i'm talking about like just five braids i'll, probably hit like a million views so that that right there would pretty much be like um one of the biggest accomplishments for me, because For one i struggled growing up, i struggled braiding big, like i always braided, very small, and so when i actually did feeding braids, i was struggling with braiding a certain way because of the way my hands go so like when i do. If y'all look on my of my videos of my feeding braids, my hands go like this as i'm trying to braid so and that's another reason why i don't even service on regular feed and braids anymore um, because it's too much for my hands now. I honestly feel, like i've done my my dues with that service, though you know i've i've actually to be honest with y'all. You know, like i said, i'm a licensed cosmetologist, but let me tell y'all something dead ass. I really got all my clientele off just feeding. Braids i'm talking about booked up like months at a time literally with just feeding braids. That is it that is it and i'm a whole cosmetologist name. I'M talking, i do relaxers cut styles, so i do roller sets. I'M talking about rising, i'm talking about all that and literally feeding braids. That was it. So you know i just i thank god for that right there and it's crazy, because i actually went to cosmetology school so that i would not have to braid here ain't that crazy, i'm talking about like literally what's for you will always be for you. That'S how i know one of my purposes in life in this lifetime right now is to service clients. That'S what i'm here for one reason anyway, yeah it's hard for me to grip, sometimes too, but girl listen to the best of my ability. It'S my favorite line. Okay, that box braid technique is fine. My brows braid starts uh all over the place. Uh yeah, i have my moments. I guess again, it just depends like it depends on the the thickness of the client that then like. It depends on all that, like that's what i'll be trying to like every client. That'S just like honestly. I can't i don't even do like say, for instance, my client um is getting small knotless braids right my clients, small knotless braids, may not compare to another client's. Small knotless braids they might, they might not even be the same exact small parts, because every client is different. Some clients, you may have to do the size smaller for it to look like a small or bigger for it to look still like a small it. Just really depends like it just depends, it just depends: do you have an instagram? I do? My instagram is hold on hold on hold on hold on my instagram is o n l y o n e underscore d? I v a a that's. Only one underscore diva: can you type it in the chat? Oh damn how i do that put user in no? No, i want to put nobody in timeout yeah, hello, um. Oh, how do i y'all know? I'M still learning this freaking live thing. I don't even sorry. I don't even know how to i don't even know how to freaking reply like typing back, oh y'all, let me tell y'all something: let me tell y'all something the piece living with: okay. Listen! So, okay! Yes, so it is o n l y o n e underscore d, i v a a okay, so the piece with living in our purposes, yo t. Let me tell you like that is really a fact seriously like seriously it's so peaceful when you're living in your purpose for real, even even even in the midst of a k of the chaos that may come with it, because, of course, life is not perfect. So, of course, gon na happen it's just life but and like to have the yo. It'S everything yeah, i'm telling y'all like man, people be so blessed like for real um girl. Let me i always say i can't, because i have nails on only one. Let me see yeah. Thank you boo. Yes, that's my that's my instagram listen, so let me tell y'all something these. These are my real nails. These are like my real nails and one thing about me: if y'all notice, in my videos, like nine times out of ten, my nails are always done like i get my nails done faithfully and i literally just chopped my nails down um saturday when i got them. Redone, so these are my nails i actually had them grown. They probably grew up to like right here, but of course, y'all know we had got the little braiders thing, so i had to keep a few of them low, but y'all these my natural nails, okay, dip powder - and i know i know they - they have it out There, where did powder, is unsanitary and got out of that blah blah blah me personally. I just feel like whoever you go to if the person who you're going to they send it to they do what they supposed to do. You'Ll be fine. That'S how i feel i have been getting dip. I was doing jail um and i hate chip, nails and stuff like that. So i was doing a jail, but about a week or so after, like of course braiding and doing that it started chipping and stuff. So when my nail tech introduced me to the dip y'all, i yo, i love dip. When i look at this, look at that look how nice yo look how nice this is and my nails grow, so quick and so healthy with this with this dip powder, like it's crazy, it's crazy as hell! So if y'all and then and then another another good thing about the dip powder is while your nails are in the process of growing um, you are actually training your hands to braid with nails on. So when i tell you i always i was like the type - i'm not brain, with no nails on you're not going to catch me braid with no nails on that. But once i started training my hands, i had no choice but to train my hands with my nails on. You know good, i don't even have an instagram well, thank you for shouting it out boo, so they can follow. I need your nail care routine yeah uh. Basically, i just do you mess them with your top on purpose, i just noticed okay, so first question the nail care routine. Ah, like i literally y'all, i just get my nails done every two weeks and i get my nails and my toes done like you know they say in the winter time they get cold. Don'T worry about your feet. That'S a lie, first of all, i'mma style, because i sit on my feet all day and second of all, my toes have to be cute cause i feel like i got sexy feet, so my toes always got to stay done. Okay, so that's just something that i do as far as like i mean even if, like now, i got locks and you know what i'm saying so, like my hair, be looking crazy as hell with these locks, but my nails and toes i got ta, get them Done and honestly some days, i don't even wan na go i'll, be like i don't feel like you're gon na get my nails and toes. I do not feel like sitting up in there. I don't feel like it, but i already know one little chip crack like y'all. I wasn't even supposed to go, get my nails done saturday. Okay, like i, was gon na wait and to going into my third week, i was gon na wait and literally my freaking nail cracked. This nail was like that big okay, my nail, not my nail and another thing i like about the dip powder: they do not break your nails like even when the dip part breaks your nail yo, i'm telling you i need to. I need to do a sponsorship for dip powder because yo, so my freaking nail was like this long saturday right and the freaking nail the dip powder it broke, but my nail didn't break, but it was like a hole. So you see the dip powder down here. The dip powder at the top and the dip powder in the middle was gone. I was like how am i supposed to walk around yeah? I went inside the gap, so i caught up my nails. Take like yo. Can i come in today or whatever so he like well, his mom, she like yeah, you can come in or whatever like that. Yeah i get to the gas station cause i'm trying to save my nail at this point right i get to the freaking gas station i'll go to get water out the freaking cooler nail break. I said that ain't this about a i you know i was over it. So at that point, when i got to my nail tech, i was like yo just cut them just let's start this thing a little over. So that's literally all i do. I just go and get my nails done. Every two weeks like he don't even do manicure and i'd, be i really be wanting him to do like manicures, like massaging my but y'all, i don't be feeling like, oh i'll, be ready to go. I mean he already be having to extra dip. My fingers, because that's been my nail tech for like four years, so i'm really picky and he's the only person that do my nails perfect every time, so he be going all out for me. My nails are in bad shape, with all the hand, washing girl. Okay for real have your hands, looking all ashy crusty everything else. Well, at least at least we at least y'all know that we washing our hands huh. I, like gel polish, though, when it's applied right. You know um one thing about the gel polish one, one of the reasons why i really do love no another reason why i love the dip and it's hard like y'all, hear that, like you, would think it's fake nails how hard it is. It sounds like it sounds like it got, fake nails on it, but another thing that i like about the dip is: it doesn't require that light um. You know that you sit your hand under for the gel. It doesn't require a light. None of that - and i was using gel for a couple years - so just imagine every two weeks i'm going to get my nails done and i'm sitting my hands under the light, oh and yeah. So this is the box braid right there, okay and, as you can see, this is pretty much tucked. Okay, i pretty much got the tuck in on the regular breakdown pack yeah. I was addicted to the jail cis needs, a dead, okay, tell yo somebody call up keira skye and tell them cause: that's kara, skye, okay. This is kieran skye right here: baby kyra sky somebody call up and tell i need a sponsorship, quick, oh um, and then someone asks do i always match my shirt. My tops with my nails so y'all, okay. Typically, i honestly don't typically like i beat a hat on a nail color and i'm throwing on a shirt and it's like, oh damn that match oh wow background mesh too, but today i um, i had on a black shirt earlier and then for this video right Here i seen this color sitting over there and i was like oh these do this do match my nails, so i just threw it on, and one thing about me: i love crop tops so pretty much gon na always have a crop top on. When i'm doing videos, if i'm not at um at the salon, actually servicing a client and i used to wear crop - tops to work and stuff too, but you know that's neither here over there yeah, i start to ramble and stuff so yeah i heard about the Uv light being dangerous or whatever, and i'm super paranoid so yeah for your next square, hey kirsten yeah, i can do knotless for my next square, how you doing bo! We just sit here. Chit chatting like i told everyone else um. I actually have a video that i'm i'm filming a video in the process of me being on live right now so um like i said if i am talking too much for y'all when i upload the video for um for this right here, y'all be able to See exactly what i did tonight without me, rambling on so much but yeah yeah, i just and so by me being a a licensed cosmetologist. You know i can do nails. I actually used to do nails. So i've been thinking right because i started like my loc journey. You know and i do the whole dip powder on a natural nail type thing. I was thinking of actually starting the service packet package for that, but i'm not sure yet that'll be something i have to actually like contemplate about, but i think that would be dope. So i'm just separating the hair right now for knotless braids move this over a little bit, so it can be better on my video and i'm feeling put this down so into my ramble on girl. Okay, we'll be in here talking about all types of stuff. I'M telling you all right so got my section saturated for my product. Right is south carolina and herself love your accent, yeah it's in the south, i'm actually from new york. But i've been down here a long time, so my accent be jumping like all over the place. Yeah south carolina is near georgia. So, oh i forgot. We did say we was breaking it down one time. Okay, so i got my sections: i'm gon na braid down one time. Okay, then, i'm gon na start feeding it in i'll fit that one in under and i'm gon na feed this one in over and like i said it may be hard for y'all to see exactly what i'm doing, because i'm trying to film at the same time, On my other phone, so if you can't really see exactly what i'm doing, don't worry just wait until my actual video comes out, so y'all can see exactly what i'm doing. Okay, so i'm basically just like going under over under over trying to figure out exactly okay. So yeah, i did kind of horrible on this tucking right here. I'Ma just stop right. There my hand started hurting my hands started hurting because it's hard for me to try to braid this way and still filming so i'm gon na. Just let's see i'm gon na. Do, oh, i'm gon na do this one, but i think y'all can see that one put that one up. Oh i'm using this right here. This is what i'm using normally. I use silk elements. If y'all watch my videos, i use silk elements, but i've been kind of liking this product right here then i use this also. I use this to saturate the roots, though, and depending on how i feel about putting the hair - and i made a little of that, but i used it yeah, i'm from new york, the bronx personal. Really, that's what i'll be exactly that! That'S what i'll be telling people to like you know. Sometimes when i do my voiceovers or whatever, and i understand everybody got that you know. Of course you come on youtube and you want to learn how to do things. You know and some people are visual learners, and then you have some people who actually need to hear you explaining things um and so i'm not really proficient with explaining stuff. I can better show you and i can tell you and some people be wanting me to do voiceovers and i'm like okay, you know cool, i can do voiceovers or whatever, but i'm just i'm gon na start rambling, like i'm just gon na start rambling, because once I you know a lot of things i can't explain. I can just show i may start getting jumping up on my words after that i'll just be like man that - and i just want to talk about how blue the sky was today straight up. So you know that's why like and that's another reason why, like i've, had brain in classes like in person, braiding classes and i've done those, but i just i don't. I don't feel like my professionalism as far as explaining things that i do, um is at a level where i can be comfortable doing like braiding classes. Besides talking like this, like i'm, you know i'm just talking like i'm showing y'all, but i'm talking you know period. So and i swear i wish i could y'all we would be in here lit right now. If i could put music on. Maybe i need to oh well, everybody don't have instagram, i was gon na say. Maybe i need to get on. Instagram live, so we could turn up and put some music on on this good old monday. I listen to all types of music, literally like i'm talking about literally from freaking from freaking. Chris brown is my favorite artist. Okay, ever so from chris brown to freaking yo gotti, the future, the little dirt king vaughn to freaking teddy pendergrass, i mean i'm talking about everything. Yes, i do listen to nba young boy, i sure do um. I listen to everything freaking lady gaga, i'm talking about. Like the only only music, i really don't like is um country and gospel. Music is cool. It'S cool, but um. You won't too quick catch me. Turning on gospel or country. I do have my um couple gospel songs, that when i'm pretty much going through a little something i play that and that's those are actually songs. I'Ve been playing since i was a kid when i used to go to church in the projects or whatever um, and they let they had us. Listening to this, certain um gospel group called out of eating. I don't know if it's out of eating or out of eden it might be out of eating, that's what they would call. It was a girl group, yeah, um shining jam. I used i like shining jam. I use it to really like you know, get those flyaways and you know i'll, get this all shiny and laid down right here. Yeah, shiny gym is definitely the goat, so that's what y'all eat for dinner being all random girl, okay, cuz! I i was on live earlier: okay yeah! I promise. After i finish talking, i'm gon na show you i'm gon na, show you how this break. I was on live earlier, and i had to make my wife dinner before she left for work. So i made her some um, some italian sausages, with sauteed green peppers and onions. We like a little cheese underneath the sausage with the onions and peppers on the top mustard ketchup. I, like my sauerkraut. She you don't like that at all and then i made cut up fried potatoes um and i love potatoes like i eat anything, potato and bread. So yeah, i cut up some potatoes and we had that for dinner. That'S what um! That'S what i cooked today tomorrow! I'M probably gon na make some chicken breasts with like some uh cabbage and broccoli and stuff so, and i do like to cook you got to jump on some uk, oh um. What is it? Jay? Okay, i'm definitely gon na. Listen to that. What about afro? Music? Oh yeah girl, i love whiz kid um and okay. I know this may not count, but it's uh. It'S a group. I want to say they're from the uk. I know i know they're not from over here. I know that for fact, but i want to say they are from the uk. I was actually listening to them. When i was younger, probably like in high school, they are called fundamental o3. Oh my gosh. I used to love listening to them fundamentally or fdm. That was my group right there, so i braided it in one time feet so y'all my hands are starting to hurt just a tad bit. I don't want to start overdoing it before my um. My week begins on servicing clients. So that's why i haven't really tried to tuck the rest of that black in because believe it or not. It actually does take a little more work to tuck hair in especially with certain colors.

Tba: I really enjoyed watching this. I watched while braiding my mannequin because I want to start braiding on the side. When you spoke about just taking your time and preparing for the worst and best that was really reassuring. Thank you!
