Jamaican Bounce Crochet Braids| Start To Finish!!!

I hope you enjoy this simple tutorial on how to achieve Jamaican Bounce Crochet braids.

I purchased 3 packs of Jamaican Bounce hair from a local beauty supply store.

I ended up using about 2 1/4 packs, and this style took a little under 2 hrs!!

Let me know what you think down below!

What'S up, everybody is quinella che and welcome back to my channel. So today is kind of like a spur-of-the-moment video. I had some time on my lunch breaks. I'M about to run to the hair store. Y'All are coming with me. I'M gon na show you how cheap I can get hair. How quickly I'm gon na transform my hair too. I'M a cute little crochet style using Jamaican bounce is super cheap, very affordable, and it only takes me like an hour and a half to two hours to do this hairstyle. It'S amazing! I love it so much and it lasts me forever. So, let's head on out to the store, keep these deals. I can get back to work, only got 30 minutes all right. Let'S go okay! So I'm in my local hair store. That is right down the street from my job and it is $ 7.99. A pack here, other places I usually go to us 5:19 - is a little pricey here, but still not bad. I usually use about two to two and a half stacks of this hair, so I spending about twenty four dollars, can't really beat it probably use the full. Third pack does anybody else buy a fresh pair of Hoops when it comes to the hair stores? It just means don't front. Leave me a comment. If you do it to, let me know so. I got like ten minutes left with my break in the store is like seven minutes so utilizing my time wisely. Staying under budget, not bad, I'm gon na wash my hair condition it I'm gon na air dry overnight, and then tomorrow we bout to get this Jake good morning. It is officially the next day and my hair is fully air dried. So we are going to take these out and get our hair prepped and ready to do the cornrows, so we can finally get into this tutorial, so we can show off our beautiful chip-making bounce curls, all right, let's get started. These are the hair products that I will be using for this tutorial. I have my coconut oil hair grease my jam, some combs clips and hair pins. Okay, so all of our braids are here is pretty stretch for the most part, and so we're gon na go ahead and start our cornrows. So the way I do is, I only do eight cornrows and I do some straight back. That'S the braided pattern. I use for this specific style because the hair is very full and curly, so you don't want too much hair like next to each other or will be super curly and really full and it'll have no shape to it. Sober only undo, eight simple straight back cornrows an easy way. I do it to make sure that my cornrows are kind of like, even although all around my head is, I do a part down the middle, and so now you have two sections and then I section those two off again. So then, as I'm doing each section, I'm just dividing two cornrows per section that makes sense, I'm a math nerd, don't judge me y'all, okay, it's just how I work. It works for me. So yes, four sections, two cores per Section: eight braids! Yes, okay! So I have all of my braids and I just went ahead and sew down the back. It is 12:35, so it took me about 40 minutes 41 to be exact, not bad at all. That probably takes up the bulk of the time for this hairstyle, which is a beautiful thing about it, as you can tell, they are not perfect they're not perfectly straight. The braves aren't super tight they're, just neat overall, that's the main goal for this style. Just have some neat cornrows, so you're, not the best that you know braiding is totally fine. It'S all gon na be covered up. Your kind of looks better if it's not too perfect. So that way, your parts aren't showing you don't want people to know. This is crochet, so that's the beauty of this hairstyle, and so I just open one pack, and this is kind of like white one curl looks like, and so what I do is I separate each curl in half this way, you're kind of getting like two packs In one and the thing I will say about this hair is they can get a little frizzy, so be gentle when you separate let the hair separate where it wants to, because you don't want too much frizz throughout this style. Okay, and so I do my crochet Styles, a little different - I like to start at the top of my head first and do my back glass for a few reasons with crochet. Here you want everything to be more full on top, so you want to kind of play with your fullness first and kind of fill in the back last after you've done the top. Another reason is, this is a pretty quick style, but if you're doing the longer crochet style or somebody who has a lot of hair or we did smaller braid patterns, it's a lot more help hair to fill in. So if it takes longer you're more energized, when you first start the style, you know maybe you're an hour in on the top and you're just like tired. So this part looks good and if you just want to fudge some of it in the back, that's why we do the toppers back last. You got it and we the reason why we did straight back. So I don't know if I explained this is because I'm not wearing my hair up, I don't and wearing it up at all. So I don't really kind of care what my sides or my back, look like this January right now. It'S not hot outside. So my hair doesn't have to be off my shoulders. It'S okay! If it's down I'll, probably keep this down for about two to three weeks. So that's the reason why we just did eight quick little straight backs. Okay, so as I go as you can see, it has a little bit of frizz on it. So I take some of that coconut oil, hair Greed's and I just kind of rub my fingers along the curls, it's kind of eliminates and frizz. As I go yeah like some little extra pieces. I just can't pull them off as I go and then we'll go ahead and install. It now also start in the middle, because I like to do middle parts and I like to do side parts. So I kind of want to make sure that my middle is how can I say like looks the best. I guess you can say when I'm installing it alright. So we're going to start about right here, put your latch hook under the cornrow, leave it open, and then you attach the hair. I like to put it around my fingers like this, and I attach that loop in the latch hook like so, and then you want to close the hook slide it under open the hook and grab that loop. You can take the hook off so now you have a loop and now you have hair. So I have to do this one about two times, because this hair - it's pretty thick, you don't want to do it too many jobs and then it starts to stick straight up. You just want to fall, naturally, look how cute that is, so we're gon na keep doing that for the first two, since this is kind of like my middle, and I kind of do it along, like my sides, where I'm gon na have a side part. I kind of keep the hair pretty close together along the cornrow. This way, this kind of blends in more of my hair, especially because I'm mainly blonde and this hair is pretty dark. This is one B, slash. 30. I don't want my blonde hair peeking through, so I'm gon na try to keep it pretty tight, especially where the blonde starts, and that way is pretty full. So it'll cover up when we start to do the back. Alright, so I'm just gon na show you guys one more time got your curl put a little coconut oil, eliminate frizz. Put it around your fingers. Take your latch look, get it pretty close to your first one open the look. The latch hook attach the loop close pull through, grab your loop and wrap it around twice, got it alright, so I'm gon na keep going and I'll check back in before I start the back. Ok, so the front is officially done. It is 106. We started everything at what 1150 or something like that like noon, so it's been about an hour and some change, and this is only the front look how full this looks, guys, look, how beautiful and lustrous these curls looks. So we still do tap it back to do and the back never takes as long as the front. I love this style. It does not take long at all, so I'm gon na finish the back and then I'll tell you how I finish: everything off by shaping and getting rid of frizz and all that good stuff. Alright, there's only one eat scene right now, so that took me about 15 okay, so we're officially done with the back nice and full, and I still have all this hair left over. So I use I did tap into my third pack, so I did use about two and a half packs, probably not even a full half of this third one and my hair, like I love these curls, look how nice and full they are. As you can see, my hair is pretty fool. You barely see any of the blonde from here down. Don'T worry about the pieces that are showing here, because when I let the curls down, you won't be able to see the blonde at all. So this hair is nice and full and we only use about two and a half packs. So now I'm just gon na show you guys how I finish: everything off get rid of frizz. Oh look at that umm! So, since we only have eight cornrows, I like to go quorum rule by Quan rota, kind of wait, just luck, the hair out and shape it pull this away. I go back with a little bit more of that coconut oil grease and stroking in my hands and just get it really good all over those curls. The goal is to get rid of any extra little frizz, because this hair can get pretty frizzy, and then you have stuff like this, like these little frizz ease at the bottom. I just like to cut those away, and I'm gon na just do that for each cornrow, so it shouldn't take too long. Okay, so now that we have eliminated most of the noticeable frizz and we got our little shine back in there - I kind of just separate my hair down the middle. I do where middle parts a lot with this style is funny. I normally hate middle parts for myself, but with this hair, I'm loving - and I thought I'd be honest, so you're gon na part it down the middle and then we're just gon na kind of like give this a shape. Cuz right now it's just kind of big and curly um, so I usually start on one side and then I'll do the other. So, first of all, you want to figure out how long or how short you would like it. So I'm just kind of like pulling it out to make sure I'm getting the full length because, as we know, curls like to bounce back up, so I don't want to like wake up tomorrow and then there's like a really short curl or a really long, curl Cuz because I missed it, so got it pretty much pulled out. You can see the difference between the two sides and then I just start my way at the bottom and kind of go at an angle. So you kind of have, like I don't know, like a triangle type shape and what you call it. So you see these are really long, so I'm gon na cut these little guys off alright, and I still want to get a little bit more definition of this angle going so I'm just taking the outer pieces and I'm kind of still cutting pretty low, because the Curls are gon na bounce back up, so you don't want to cut too short because when they bounce up it'll be a lot shorter than what you wanted it to be still got some frizz, as I'm pulling I'm gon na. Keep cutting that frizz as I go. Keep trying to create that shape. You see it coming in compared to this side, just keep cutting, so you get the shape you desire. So I like to keep the top shorter and the bottom longer you kind of want to do it and layer. So don't make this section as short, you do this section that looks so funny, but yeah I'm gon na keep going and then I'll come back with my final finished. Look all right! Y'All! I'M back! What do you think I feel like a whole new woman? Oh, my god, this is like the cutest style ever and it is let's see it's 220 right now, but I actually did finish about 20 to 30 minutes ago. I had to go, get dolled up and took a few calls for work, so it took me about hour and 45 minutes total, not bad at all, some key tips and tricks when you do get finished to make it not look like crochet. Basically, what I did was, I pinned the middle. This is why I don't do that like. Why part that some people do, I just placed a pin in the middle. I also place some pins on the sides here, so it's kind of pushing it back. I kind of tucked behind my ear and I just fluff, and this is one way of wearing it another way. I also love my side parts with this style. Oh my gosh. The side Parts is probably the way. The way that I wear it, the most literally. Let'S see, I normally, I like a deep part, so I'll kind of stretched a little bit and I'll kind of twist and play with it, and then I will just pin it right there and let the rest of the curl just come a fall over this, like Weird-Looking section is: this: will get better over time as your braids aren't so, like you know, we just did them they're fresh, so it'll look better over time, but literally your curls can just cover it and another way to kind of make it look more natural. Is I use some edge control? I use a lot of body 24-hour edge control, really like smoothing those baby ears, those edges into the the braids in the crochet. It really just kind of like blends it in a lot more. So that way, you really don't see. Those parts anymore it really just kinda blends in with your natural hair mine looks really nice. I kind of feel like I should be the scene of grease or something I just love these big curls. You could do it on either side and just fluff it to your desired shape, and it just looks so beautiful and I really love this style. This is one of my go-to styles, a lots when I just need a break from my hair, but I don't feel like really sitting down for six to eight hours, the ones from some braids or anything like that. So this is another way that I switch it up really easily really quickly, really cheap and then my last and final step just give it last little bit of shine. I know we've been putting a lot of coconut oil and stuff, but this hair gets frizzy very easily um. So I just like to go back and add that last bit of oil sheen give us a final piece of shine. So that way we can utilize the most out of this style, make it last a long long time, like I said I'll, keep this in for about two to three weeks. It does get pretty frizzy over time, so some key tips kind of how we went through each cornrow I'll do that at the end of each week and just kind of clip away those little frizz ease. It really helps make this style last a lot longer and um. If I think about it, maybe I'll do a follow-up video around the two to three week mark to let you guys know what it's looking like. I know sometimes when it does start to get frizzy or you know your hair might slap back. That'S why it's good to have those extra little pieces. You can just go around your edges and add a few more curls in what else. Let'S see at nighttime I kind of do that big pineapple method. I just use one of my little bands here. I just put it around every all the curls like just one time. I don't wrap it around twice, because I don't want it too tight. So I do that at night, I'll put like a little scarf around my edges and then maybe like a bonnet around all of that it really conserves the curls and helps with frizz as well. So that's pretty much it! Thank you all. So much for tagging, along with me today, my little impromptu, a video hairstyle that I wanted to accomplish for the sneakin. I really appreciate it.
