This is natural hair protective styles and knotless box braids styles

Welcome back to my channel and if you're new here welcome, my name is kenya, also known as power in your curl, and i am the curl coach. I help women who've been natural for years, who still feel lost confused and like they're, not reaching their hair's full potential, get clear on. What'S holding you back and keeping you stuck so that you can ascend and really just have simple carefree hair care. So you can learn more about how we can work together, either through coaching or by taking a natural hair master class by clicking the link that pops up on the screen here and today, i'm going to be sharing a few protective style hairstyles, because obviously your girls In a protective style, so if you want to see how i style these along - and let me actually show you these super long, knotless braids, then just keep on watching so to start. I just took a few minutes to smooth my baby hair down with some gel and a scarf, and the first style that we're going to do is very simple, because i don't know about you, but when i get braids or protective style, i really just want to Break from my hair, so it's just going to be a nice high bun. I took out some bangs in the front and then i'm just going to twist all of my hair and wrap it into kind of like a big ninja bun on the top of my head now, every single time you do this, it's going to look a little Bit different, so you can honestly like play with it until it looks how you want it to look. I'M gon na, pin it with one bobby pin and then take a hair tie and kind of make sure it gets held into place and here's. The final look. Next up, we have a grown and sexy half up, half down. Look all you're going to want to do is split your hair in half make sure that you pull out some tendrils so that the style looks a little bit softer and then wrap your hair tie about two or three times around the top ponytail and boom grown And sexy, but still cool, you know still trendy, still swaggy and then, if you want to take this a step farther, you can actually wrap some of your braids around the hair tie. So it has a lifted look and to me this gives me like eye dream of genie vibes, so i'm just going to take probably about 10 to 15 braids from the back of the ponytail, i'm going to wrap that around the ponytail as many times as i Need to and then pin the excess in the back and there you go. This is probably really good for a halloween costume too. Next up we have the space buns vibes, i'm going to take the hair, that's been parted in half from the front and part it in half again down the middle, pull out some tendrils in the front and the sides and put my hair into pigtails, and you Could wear your hair like this? You know, that's your vibe! I mean what's wrong with that. Nothing at all, but then i'm going to just twist my hair two strand twist the pigtail and then wrap the pigtail around the ponytail base, making sure that you wrap from the front so that you get a really nice looking bun and again. This is going to look different every single time. You do it so no worries if it's not completely. Even all of these styles are very relaxed and, like just chill so don't feel like they need to be perfect and i'm just going to repeat that process on the opposite side bobby pinning into place and here's the final look. I really love this style. This is probably my favorite next up. We have. This gives me like boho vibes, like i'm a traveling musician. You know i'm on the road in my rv or caravan again, taking the hair splitting it in half from the front to the back and putting all the hair at the front of your head, as you put a ponytail right at the top of your forehead, because We really want this bun to be front and center, then i'm just going to wrap it around itself before twisting, and this gives the bun a smaller appearance. So it's not as big as the first bun and again just wrap it around i'm really playing with buns and ponytails for these styles, because the braids kind of make everything look extra special and complicated. So you don't have to do too much on the styling end. Then i'm going to pin my bun into place, but i'm also leaving out some tendrils from the bun so that the style looks a little bit like boho chic whimsical like i don't care about anything, but i'm still hot as hell and then next up. We have more of a polished look, so this is going to be kind of like a goddess braid in the front and i'm going to pin it in the back. So i'm just going to make a cornrow headband at the very front of my hair and with this every single time you cross some hair over to make the braid. You just want to pick up about two to four braids so that it's actually attached to your head, if you're someone who doesn't know how to cornrow this might be a really good way to practice and don't be discouraged. If it takes you a few times, it honestly took me six months to learn how to cornrow so be gentle with yourself and once i get done, cornrowing, i'm just going to braid the hair all the way down to the end, secure that with a rubber band And then i'm going to situate the braid to the back of my head in a way that looks flattering and then bobby pin it into place now the braids are pretty heavy. So if you have like a mini clamp that would probably work better so that you know it's going to be secure all day and then, if you want to have a twofer with this style, you can actually unattach it from your head and just let it hang And it gives you those you know that boho energy, so the next style is one of my favorites as well, and it is a fishtail style. But this is a little bit different because you're not fish tailing everything. I'M going to leave some hair out in the back, not enough for like a half up half down situation, but just enough so that there's something happening in the back as well as pull some tendrils from the front and the sides now you're going to split your Hair into two sections take some hair from the outside section and bring it over to the inside of the second section, and that's how you create a fishtail. It'S more so like basket weaving and not necessarily like braiding, because you really just want to create a pattern on top of the hair and i'm going to complete this pattern. All the way down the length of my braids and then i'm going to secure that with a rubber band and then i'm just going to fluff the hair out. So it looks a little bit more messy and full, and that is the final look now. This is definitely one of my favorite styles, because it's completely unique i've never seen anyone do a style like this, and i just love the style and the swag that it adds to any look. So let me know down below which of these styles was your favorite, which of these? Could you actually see yourself wearing out, and i hope that you all enjoyed this video. Thank you.
