⇢ Hair Color:

This a custom color job, created by a stylist at a salon, using a professional system not available in beauty supply stores and which requires a valid cosmetology license to purchase--no I do not know the name. It cannot be recreated precisely and the shade looks different on me every time she touches it up since she blends it up on the spot and it changes shades every time I wash my hair.

Bleach was not used. We have been lifting my hair lighter and lighter over time using developer (which is not bleach) since October of 2015. I will not post a video on how to color because I am not a licensed cosmetologist and I will not give directions on how to use chemicals that I do not have a good understanding of. If you'd like help with achieving this color, please consult a LICENSED professional who specializes in natural hair because coloring will alter your hair and can damage depending on your texture and the process.

Hey booze so today, I'm about to show you guys how to do this cute, no break for Shay style! That'S right! No braids for my sister's, who are in the secret society of black women, who cannot break or for my lazy, ladies who just need a quick style to last them a couple weeks. Alright, so I chose to start on some stretch hair, but it's not too stretched. Just enough so that my hair will slicked down easily up in the front, it's not necessary if your hair sleeps back well, but for those of us who know better, go ahead and start on dry or stretched hair. The first thing I did was make a part across the top of my head. I typically do mine at the ears when I do half up down styles, but everyone's preference and head size is different, so work with your I'm gon na put two buns in the front and the back half of my head and I've already done the back one. So now I'm gon na do the front. Now I'm gon na be rude. I actually bought some model model hair at the beauty supply store and when I pulled out the pack, it was a heart. No, it was supposed to be like the dark root and blonde ends, but that hair was like a ashy blonde and the crows were straggly. So I went ahead. Off-Camera licked my edges down and tied it down for the night and got some new hair in the morning and, yes, I went to the beauty supply store with these struggle. Buns but like that meme says, there's an unspoken rule in a beauty supply store that we are not allowed to judge each other by how our hair looks now. This is the next day and I ended up going back and getting the expressions curl, let hair in a one beat 30 and I only use three packs. I started off doing the back, we're all ready and now I'm gon na focus on covering up the bun in the back, so I'm gon na pack a lot of hair around that fun to install it and cover it up now to install the crochet here. You'Re. Just gon na open the latch insert the needle into a little patch of hair, maybe about the width of your finger then hook the hair close the latch and pull it through. Then you're gon na pull the hair through the loop to knot it so again. You'Re gon na open the latch and start it into a piece of the hair hook. The crochet here close the latch, pull it through and not the hair by pulling it through the loop, and you do this all over the back but, like I said, I started off packing it around that bun first to cover it up, because that's what's most important, The rest of the hair to fill out fine now, once I've gone all the way around the bun. I went ahead thin and started separating the curls, and I've dealt with a couple of different brands of these little bouncy crochet curls, and these by far were the easiest to separate, so I'll definitely be using this brand again and they are by far the cheapest that I bought so y'all can see that the bun is mostly covered for the most part and when I fill in the top is gon na get the rest, and I used, I think, a whole pack of hair here. So a pack really goes a long way. Now I'm gon na fill in the rest of the back half and I won't pack them as tight. Now they may be about an inch apart until I get to where the part is across my head, then I kind of packing in, but not nearly as tight. As I did around the bun - and you also see me going through and pulling the curls apart as I go, I separated most of them just one time, but I did go through on the ones that were really chunky and separated them an additional time. But like I said these curls separate really easily just don't yank them apart kind of coiled them and then start pulling them apart. So I ended up using two full packs on the back in just a couple out of the third pack. To do my whole back of my head now for the bun, I took some of the curls and looped it into a scrunchie, and I think I did about five or six curls and I separated them before. I went ahead and attached it to my little bun and I ended up using like a scrunchie and some bobby pins, just kind of pin it into a cute little shape that I like next, I'm gon na go through and cut the hair a little bit to Give it a little shape and I'm gon na pull some more the curls apart and that's it I'd say this took me no more than two hours, and this was my first time ever doing it y'all. This is a super, easy style at night. I just tie my edges down to keep my hair flat and I sleep on the silk pillow and in the morning I just shake and go so. This is a really really low maintenance style. If you get any fringe, just go ahead and cut the frizz out. Don'T try to like curl it or do too much with this hair. Alright y'all here is the final look. I plan on keeping this in it for about two weeks and I'm in love with this style like this is so it's just so pretty, and so like soft and elegant, so I'll definitely be doing this again. I'M actually gon na look into some more brightly. Crochet styles yeah I'm in love, and this is so simple, so yeah. Let me know what you guys think about this video comment below.
