How To Finesse A Headband Wig | Quick Protective Style | Chev B.

Welcome beautiful people, i am chef b if you're new to this channel, welcome wagon make sure you're subscribed down below for today's video, we'll be styling this unit from ywigs.com, and this is a headband wig in 16 inches. As you guys can see. This is a ombre, honey, blonde tone, type of colored wig, and basically it has three combs on the inside or about four. Actually so it's three on top and one at the bottom to secure your wig and what i'm doing right now is i'm wetting the hair to loosen the curls, because i want the hair to have a carefree look now. What i would advise is to co-wash the hair and you'll get that free cure-free look once the hair is dry, but because we're trying to put on this wig and go i'm gon na just add some water to it and just take this denman brush and loosen The curls, as best as i can, because i want that - i want that frizzy. Look i like that frizzy carefree wash and goes type of curl pattern with these kinky texture, curly type wigs. So i'm just continue to miss the hair with my spray bottle and then i'm going to use this conditioning mousse to say three in one extra hold mousse. I use this in every single video. This is my all-time favorite mousse, you get a local view, supply store. If not it's supposed to be on amazon or you can just google it and see if it is in a store available near you. So what i'm going to do is, after i detangle the hair, i'm just running my fingers through the hair, with the mousse to get the curls to clump up a little bit more, but also to make sure that it doesn't have like a frizzy look. Even though we're going carefree girl, we don't want it to look frizzy and dried out inside. So i've been wearing headband wigs all week and i'm having a little bit of build up of um edge control on my edges. But we're going to add some more and we're going to fix that. Look, i'm going to show you guys, like a trick. You can use to like revamp your hair without like having to wash it every two to three days after using some edge control. Okay, so i'm using the she's bomb edge control - and i just put that all over my edges and just use a tail comb and just flick it back. It doesn't have to be super uniformed um we're trying to we're not like aiming for perfection with the edges. We'Re just trying to like you know, style it up a little bit, so i'm just going to do a little bit of soup to do you know we love our super loops over here. Nothing extra, nothing, big, nothing! Large! Nothing like extravagant just a little bit of touch up and also what i'm going to do is i'm taking a little bit of hair on the corners, and you don't have to do this, but i feel like i'm just adding a little naturalness to the hair. Basically like to make it almost like it's my hair: now the trick is black edge control, and i say that to say this: in almost all my um headband wig tutorials, when you add black edge control, it is so beneficial because one it makes your edges look. Super full, if you have thinning edges or um, i don't know, barely any edges at all like use black edge control. It makes the front of your hair look so full and also, if you've been wearing headband, wigs or if you've been doing a style for a week and you're not ready for wash day as yet use black edge control over your normal edge control. And it will take away the whiteness, it will make the hair look brand new make it look like your hair is like freshly done, instead of it being a week of touch up, so black edge control is your friend so now we're just gon na apply the Wig, it's just a basic way of applying headband wigs. First, you adjust the wig, however tight you want it to fit because in the back of the wig there's the adjustable strap that comes with every single like wig, that you could tighten. So once you do that, you just tighten the straps to fit your head properly because i'm wearing an average size wig and then once i do that i bring it forward some more and then push the headband back some. So, as you guys saw in the beginning of the video i'm going to style this in a half up type of style, you can wear the wig like this is so beautiful. The curls in this hair is so soft. Like i know, you guys can see how soft this hair is through. The camera, like y'all, can't tell me how soft this hair doesn't look. It'S super soft. It smells good with the mousse, and this is the carefree look that i was going for. I didn't want the curls to be too uniform. I just wanted to look like as if it was just a detangling wash and go type of thing now, seeing that i didn't want to leave the hair, as is because i feel like that, was too boring. I wanted to do something with the hair, like just give it a little bit of razzle dazzle. You feel me some extra, so we're gon na do a half up, half down type of style, i'm just using a rubber band, i'm just going to tie it around the hair like twice and that's it you don't have to do it tight or nothing crazy. It'S just real simple! Now what i'm going to do to add that razzle dazzle that i was telling you about earlier. Is i'm going to be using this piece of braiding hair that i actually did myself and i'm just going to fluff it out a bit, make it a little bit wider, and this is what we're going to be using to cover a headband wig. I try to use like the regular, like headband in different colors, i'm like i'm, not feeling it it's taking away from the hair too much so we're just gon na add a piece of braiding hair to work as our headband like i'm like i. I am feeling this and i found a piece of hair um close as possible, as i could get it to this hair that i did a style in in a previous video and then i'm going to just take a bobby, pin and pin the hair together and That is basically it, so you can use this to cover your headband or your headband is going to show a little bit if you wanted to. If not, you could use double braiding hair. If you want, you can make the braiding hair bigger. I didn't want it to like um, take away from the hair itself, so um, i'm thinking this size is actually perfect for the look that i was going for now once i do that, i'm just going to add some hair jewels to complete the look for that Extra extra razzle dazzle okay, beautiful people. It is so easy to do. I feel like anybody can work with a headband with you. Don'T have to worry about glue list. Um got to be freezing spray, like none of that.
