Hello, everyone welcome back to my channel. If you are new here, you are welcome today. I will be showing you guys how i curl the ends of my braids or wigs using perm rods. I will be using this twist right here and i'll also be using medium size or small to medium-sized perm rods. So stick around and see how i do it, i'm going to be working with three braids at a time, and i want the curls to start from that point. So it all depends on what you want and my perm rod is already open. So i'm going to place it right there making sure that i have a firm grip of the braids and the foam rods together and then i'll start wrapping it around. As you can see, i'm not twisting the braids it's laying down flat, and that is how you get the bouncy and flexible curls. But if you want tight curls, then you can twist the hair before wrapping. When i get to the end, i start to wrap it upwards to secure the hair, and then i close the foam rod, and that is how i curl my braids using a perm rod. So i'm going to show you guys again: you can always use the first curl to determine where to start so you can have an even look. Then man, then now i'm going to go ahead and dip it in hot water. I do recommend you use a heavy duty pitcher and also have a towel handy to dry the braids i'm going to go ahead and dip it in and if you're working on a client, i recommend you work with fewer perm rods at a time to be safe. I'M going to let some of the excess water to drip off before i use the towel, i'm going to squeeze with a towel and let it dry if this was a braided unit, i'm going to let it dry for a day. But if i'm working on a client, i can use a blow dryer to remove some of the excess water. Before i take out the palm rods and i'm going to show you guys how i do it, i'm going to open the perm rod - and this is the technique that i use to maintain the curls, i'm going to move the perm rod side to side. While i pull it upwards there, you have your curls still intact, neat and bouncy. I'M just going to cut out the ends and show you guys the final results you can choose to leave your curls like this or you can go ahead and separate them. This is also one way to customize your own crochet braids. So this is how i use firm rods to curl the ends of my braids and my braided wigs.
