Braided Natural Curly Hairstyle

Hello, ladies welcome back to much more than beauty, so in today's video I'm going to be showing you how I created this hairstyle, I'm calling it like a half up, half down cross braids in the front, hairstyle, not sure exactly what to name it, but I've posted A picture of it on Instagram a few weeks back and I got a lot of requests to do like a tutorial. So this is the tutorial. So, if you're interested in seeing how I created this hairstyle, please keep watching so for the style. I'M gon na begin by parting, my hair first and I'm just gon na use a comb. The part is going to go like a triangle, so it's gon na go this way like this. So the first part it's gon na look like this, so I'm just gon na begin to part my hair that way kind of from, like maybe from my temple to temple area. Does it have to be a perfect triangle, but you want it to be. Like a nice triangle, something like that looks good we're just gon na tie up the rest of my hair, so it doesn't get in the way of what I'm doing like so so now. What I'm gon na do is use ultra Sheen Supremes laid control gel, and that put it looks like it's like a white Hammad pomade, and I'm just gon na apply that right there on the edge to like smooth down the frizz and the flyaways like. So. Ladies, so that would be like the first kind of like ponytail, so I'm gon na use these superstretch superstretch softly springy will not break hair rubber bands that I got from Sally's Beauty Supply this. My hands are actually slippery now from the control gel I'm actually gon na. Take I want to take one or two I'm going to take two, I'm gon na double up on them, just to make sure that they don't break on me all right. So I'm just gon na tie this nice and tightly kind of to the end of the part at the back of it. Alright, so I got the middle ponytail down now for the next part, it's going to be like the triangle going this way, so the part is gon na go down this way towards my ear. Like so again, I'm gon na take someone ultra Shing Supremes laid control. Gel you take a good amount of that, spread it on my fingertips and then apply it right to my roof and my edges smooth all that down and using two more elastic bands. Rubber bands - I'm also gon na tie that tightly and I'm gon na do the same thing on this side. The next step is to take the side ponytails, I'm going to split it in half part it in half like so and one half of it. I'M going to braid it so I'm going to braid one half. So I'm going to break this this one. For example, I'm gon na use some of the control gel and just kind of apply it down the braid to also control some of the frizz and I'm just going to do the same on the other side. So now we have these two braids and all you're gon na do is take both of them and crisscross them like right up out there and bring it towards the back. If your hair is not long enough, you could just bobby pin them, but if your your hair is long enough and your braids are long enough, you can just take on another rubber band and just tie it in the back now taking small bobby pins, I'm gon Na push them more forward where they're more visible and I'm going to apply the small. I'M gon na insert the small bobby pin right in the middle like right through the braid, but where you can't, where you can't see the bobby, pin if you're looking to have more volume in the top. What I would do is take some more hair from the back and then just do another high ponytail like right behind this one right here. So I got this other ponytail going on. This is the one who's gon na go right behind this one we're just gon na take a couple. More of the rubber bands is just tie that in place nice and high for the volume. So it's gon na look something like this. You can just bring your hair back so so far. It looks like this, so I'm just gon na take ultra Sheen Supremes Slade styling lotion and I'm gon na apply it to let the dry areas, because my hair still feels a little bit dry. I'M gon na use ultra Sheen, Supremes sleek, lead me in, and I'm just going to spray this just to look moist dries. My drive here a little bit more, so I'm just gon na take more of this sleek by ultra Sheen Supremes leaving more. Lastly, I'm going to use ultra Sheen Supremes shine, so this is like a shine serum and I like to use it to add shine, especially because my hair, this is always so dry and for volume. Of course, you can always use the wide tooth comb and just kind of run it through your curls and fluff it up, and while, ladies this is the final look, alright, ladies, so this is the finished look.
