Y'All welcome back to my Channel today. I just have a quick video for y'all, my updated silk press routine and how I extend the style and make it last for around two weeks, so I'm starting off with dirty hair. I just took out my box braids, so I'm gon na give my hair some TLC and I'm starting off with the olaplex number zero, which is a bond building treatment and applying it to each section of my hair, I'm working in four sections. So I'm just gon na spray it throughout my hair and then brush it through, so that it's saturating every Strand and you don't have to soak your hair too much like I did. It just has to be damp and then I'm gon na go in with the olaplex number three hair perfector and I'm applying it throughout my hair and I'm gon na brush it out again to make sure every single strand is saturated with product I've been using olaplex For a couple months now, and I think it's working pretty good, even though I don't really wear my hair curly anymore, I have noticed that my curls are looking healthier when I wash my hair. So after that, I'm just going to repeat this process on the other. Three sections and twist them up and then let it sit for 10 minutes before getting in the shower and shampooing and conditioning for shampoo. Today, I'm using the way, fine, hair, shampoo and I'm going to work the product in making sure I scrub my scalp really good and just drag the shampoo down the rest of my hair and then I'm going to rinse and repeat one more time to make sure My hair is really clean. I usually shampoo twice, but if my hair is really dirty, I might do three times. It'S just really important to make sure your hair is squeaky, clean and there's no oils or products, and this is going to help reduce heat damage. If you straighten your hair, often foreign conditioner, I'm using the olaplex number five and I'm going to apply that all throughout my hair and let it sit for a few minutes. While I shower and then I'm just going to rinse it out, I'm also going to be detangling while the conditioner is in my hair. Once it's like sat on my hair for a little while so in my opinion, my hair is in its strongest State when it's wet and when there's conditioner. So it's just easier for me to detangle this way. If I wait until I'm finished and there's no product in it and I'm trying to brush through it, I feel like it breaks more easily. So I always detangle when there's conditioner in my hair. So now I'm just rinsing it out and once I'm out of the shower, I'm gon na dry, my hair with a cotton t-shirt, and this also helps prevent breakage. And while my hair is damp, I'm going to be using the Color Wow Dream Coat. This is a necessity for me, especially living in a very humid City, this product, repels, moisture and my hair hasn't really gotten frizzy ever since I started using it. So it's really my new Holy Grail like Lifesaver product, it's truly a really amazing product. So if you guys don't get anything off, this video definitely go pick up the color wow. If you have problems with your hair frizzing up in the humidity so working in four sections, I'm saturating my hair with this product, making sure that every strand is coated and I'm brushing it through make sure you apply this product. Very liberally, like I said, apply a lot as much as possible so that your hair doesn't frizz up outside. After that, I'm gon na blow dry using my tymo round brush dryer. I found this to be quicker and easier than just using a blow dryer and a separate brush, and it gets my hair really smooth um. So I find that it's easier to straighten, because my hair is pretty much straight, like it's not bone straight, but it gets it pretty straight, so switch to a round brush. I feel like it also is just better for your hair. It doesn't break it off as much and it just makes the process easier. Thank you, then. I'M going to go into straightening, I'm using my BaByliss flat iron. I'M not really sure. If that's how you say it, but that's how I think it's pronounced. It'S truly. The best for getting your hair boned straight because it gets really hot, also be careful, because every time I do my hair, I burn my forehead with this flat iron, because the whole like Barrel gets hot, so just be really careful, but I'm just working in four Sections and I'm using the chase method throughout and then another tip I have for making your soap press last longer is to curl your hair. I found that it doesn't get as oily as fast and you can do more styles with it like ponytails and clips, and things like that. So I never really liked my hair curled, but it does help me not add more heat. While I have my hair straight and it's a lot easier to maintain than just keeping it bone straight because when it's bone straight, you have to make sure you wrap it and wrapping your hair is really hard in my opinion, so I feel like adding curls really Just helps to make the whole process easier and it's healthier for your hair. You don't really have to brush through it. So that's just my opinion, but for curls, I'm using the tymo airflow and if you aren't good at curling your hair. This tool is a necessity. It makes curling really easy and quick. You can also strain your hair with it. I do have a video using this tool, it's my last video that I posted. So if you guys want to see like a more in-depth tutorial, I guess about this tool, then you can go check that out, but right now, I'm literally just curling my hair. It was super fast and super easy and that's pretty much it now that the curls are done, I'm going to show you how I maintain them, so I can keep my slow press in for two plus weeks. So this is the ghost Sleek silk roller and you can use it to create curls or maintain them. I use it every night to protect and maintain my silk press and My Curls always look so good the next morning. So it's pretty simple to use. You just place it on the top of your head, clip it into place and then part your hair down the middle and start twisting your hair around the roller and then once you get to the end, you secure it with a scrunchie and you do the same Thing to the other side, and then I just put my scarf on and go to bed, and this is my hair, the next day after removing the silk roller, My Curls are still intact and honestly, they always look better than when I first did them, and I Also try to avoid brushing my hair when it's straight because it breaks really easily so I just fluff out my curls using my hands and kind of finger detangle them. You can use oil if you feel like your hair is too frizzy or if you feel like your hair, is oily. You can use dry shampoo, but I never have to apply heat, because my curls always look so good. Using this roller, like it's, honestly, been a lifesaver for me using this, it's just makes my style last super long. So here I am again just showing you guys how I do the roller just in case it wasn't clear the first time, so you just grab the pieces from the front and back and you twist them around the curler and then I'm going to put my scarf On and my Bonnet and go to bed and my curls are going to be still intact and perfect the next day, and now I'm showing all the progression of my hair over the next couple weeks. It'S pretty repetitive because I do use the roller every single night. It really helps to protect my hair and maintain it and since it's silk, it's really comfortable to sleep in and it's not going to dry it out. So this is about one week after my silk press. It'S a little greasy at this point, but dry shampoo will help it look more fresh and then I'm going to show you guys. Two weeks later, my curls are still intact. My hair is pretty greasy, but it makes for really cute ponytail and clip Styles. So yeah. Here'S some really awkward clips of me, but that's pretty much my updated routine, I hope y'all enjoy. If you have any questions, leave them down below. I love you guys so much thanks for watching and I'll see you in the next video
