What'S good everybody and welcome back to the Channel with your main girl Mel, the holidays are here. So let's do some hair in five minutes. Each we're gon na do five hairstyles and if you know me, we want all things healthy. So none of these hairstyles are gon na result in any breakage and are really easy to do, for anybody will also be super cute and, as for the products that we're going to use, you'll see me styling with some of my favorite Aveda products that you can Find in their holiday gift sets this year. Why am I dancing? I'M just I feel so excited as an official data Ambassador. I recently attended events for these holiday sets and I got to hear the designer three one. Phillip Lynn talk about the collection, some of which come with limited edition tools and accessories that are going to be really cute to wear and use this holiday season. I think they really outdid themselves this year, so I'm excited to partner with them. For this video to get into these hairstyles you'll be able to find the links to the products that I'm using in the description box below, but without further Ado, I'm timing, you so, let's get to it all right. Just before I hit start. Let me tell you what we're gon na need for the hairstyle, because then things are going to get chaotic we're gon na need some hair clips. You'Ll need some bobby pins, a hair tie or a skinny scrunchie. That'S what I'm using again damage free. We want it to be satiny and, on that note, we're gon na start off by styling this vegan satin scarf. This is exclusively in the neutral planish and the Botanical repair gift set. So you know where to find it and now we're gon na time. It first we'll prepare the scarf we're gon na fold it into a diamond, and then I like to fold the points in towards the middle and keep folding that that way, you have the best shaped scarf without it being weird on the sides. That'S how I recommend folding the sash. Now we're going to separate the crown of your hair, loose sections. We don't have to break up the curls too much. We don't have to part. So we see scalp too much so nothing too clean just take a general sectioning. We'Re going to keep the hair in front of the ears because we'll need those in a minute we'll just twist this up and away okay, beautiful, I'm gon na place. The scarf right, on top of my head, make sure that she's, even and we'll secure that with a clip right here. Okay, now with this hair, that's in front of the ear we're going to twist it into the scarf, but we're going to place the scarf in front. So the hair is behind and we're going to cross the section over. It'S important that the hair folds over the scarf to keep it in place, so this is how we're doing this just a little rope twist and we're just going to clip this in the back to hold for a minute. I honestly I needed more Clips I needed. I needed more Clips. Do I get to pause, I should be able to pause because I'm unprepared, you know what I'm just going to use one of my my fancy sparkly pins, just to keep it out of the way for just a second okay same things to the other side start With the scarf in front and the section of hair behind this is where you want to make sure that you keep whatever hair you want in front of your face in front of your face and pull back whatever you don't want. We are now going to connect this in the back with the other side. This is where the hair tie comes in. I hope that you can see this behind me, but we're just connecting this. This is all underneath that section of hair that we have clipped up top. We strategically set up this angle for you, so you can see. That is what that looks like you can see how the scarf is actually going to stay in place because of the way that we Twisted the hair we're going to let this hair well, we can unpin the scarf, let the hair in the back down to fall Over snatched - and you can back comb this top section A little bit - this is the Aveda mini paddle brush that comes in the smooth infusion, perfect blowout sets. It'S got this cute design on the back, it's a mini, so it's super cute, I'm just gon na gently. Fluff, the back a little bit holding the ends of My Curls anytime, you're back combing, your hair. You want to hold the ends that way they don't become frizzy just to give a little extra. If you can see the ends of the scarf, I would just part the hair, open and bobby pin them down. That is that it keeps it really snatched up off of the face. I love that you can see the design of the scarf and when you pull all of your hair forward from underneath, you can see the scarf it's just it's different, and this is all done in six minutes and 30 seconds. But again there was a bit. There was a bit of a lag there, approximately five minutes. Okay, I was talking. Let me know if you like it again super easy to do and to take down so that your hair still looks good for the next style. See no curls were harmed in the making. Now the snack style is gon na be great. If your bangs are driving you, it's gon na be a half up, half down hairstyle for The Best of Both Worlds, and you can choose to use a hair scarf or not we're gon na use one, because why not? Why not like it has like the prettiest wine color in here stunning? Let me know what your favorite holiday beverage is. Honestly, I I do love a good eggnog. I love a good eggnog, because it's it's only it's so seasonal that it makes it extra special. You know this time we're gon na need two hair ties bobby pins and, if you're feeling bold, then add a scarf as well we're gon na keep it folded up in this sash like we did for the last hairstyle okay and go I'm gon na split. My hair down the middle - oh, no, it's kind of it's kind of doing that. If I want to clean it up a little bit, I'm just gon na drag my finger through it, the perks of having long nails. What in the slant is that you know what it's fine, we're also going to part the hair from like your cheekbones right above your ear, and if you draw a line with your finger up to your crown up here. That'S all the hair that we want here and you can keep these partings a little bit more Sleek. If you want, I like to go up that way, you still have a lot of fullness back here. We don't want to take too much hair from the down part of the Dew, but up here we're going to place this hair in a ponytail with the scarf do the same on the other side. Now, do you have to be strong to do this? It does help to to have some some muscles, but also some bomb strengthening I've got Botanical repair, leave-in treatments in my hair - that's partly what's giving my curls their bounce, but it's also giving them strength and structure to go through all of this different styling. So now that we've got these pigtails, we can either braid or twist these I'm going to braid them we're going to do a three strand braid, acting as if the scarf is one of the strands and we're simply crossing the outer sections to the middle. Now we want to do this loose because we're going to fluff it really expand each strand depending on how big your fluffing it this might tack on a minute or two, but it's going to be worth it. Look at that really cute big chunky, braid we're just going to set that aside. Do it again on this side, see I love how you can just kind of see the scarf snaking its way through now we're going to crisscross from one side to the other bobby, pin it into place finesse to your liking, hold on okay trust, the process, I'm Just gon na finesse the scarf a little bit, that's kind of kind of cute. It'S different Richardson, it's giving Bridgerton and that's that's great because I am obsessed you could always do this. Look with Oregon without the scarf, but I kind of like how it weaves through it gives it a little peekaboo. You can match the scarf. So your outfit like I do, let me know what you think I actually quite like it, and the timer is okay, just it's just a little bit over six minutes so far we're off to a bit of a slow start. Let'S move on to the next one! Wow, the hair is just gon na keep getting bigger and bigger throughout this video. This next hairstyle harnesses two of my favorite looks a French twist and the low Pony it's gon na, be a hybrid baby, make sure you have the usual suspects bobby pins and a pony, and if you have some sparkly accessories, we can apply some to this. Look. So watch and learn: let's get to it. The timer begins now. You'Re gon na see a lot of back action. Okay, so first figure out what you want to do with the front, I'm going to wear my side, part as per usual. Wear your hair. However, you, like you, can put it in the bags. You can put it in the middle. You can do whatever you want. You could even wear it all the way back, but I'm going to do the side and I'm going to start by twisting backwards. That'S because I have layers and because I have bangs when I twist my hair, it helps to lock them in place and I'm gon na bring all of this side to the middle back of my head. Now we're going to take the bobby pins place them in a line at the back hold that hair in place. It'S best that you crisscross the bobby pins just for a little extra security. This is the base, then we're going to take the rest of the hair from the top and side section. I'M not too worried about any of the hair at the nape right now, just from the top and side and we're going to twist it in this is a great time to fluff up the crown just before you secure everything and we're going to take more bobby Pins and hook the edge of that roll into the base. It should look something like that. Now we can gather the rest of the hair into a little pony, and now we can accessorize. What is this frizzy piece of hair see this? I could take this strand of hair and wrap it around the elastic. Just to like that. Okay, I usually pick up the pieces that aren't cooperating. You can also once again pull up your scarf to wrap around the base of the ponytail that could look really cute or you can accessorize with a little pin. I love this thing. Look how cute this is. Amanda got some really cute new hairpins this year. How does that look? I love that it just gives so much height in the crown. You can really customize this look depending on how you want to wear the front, and it's just a really fun elegant way to French up your Pony. It'S pretty straight! Yes! Now. I will have a french vanilla, please Amanda, with peppermint pump. Okay. Thank you. So much sure that is probably you know. I'Ve actually never had that as a holiday drink, but it sounds festive to me. Oh, my God, speaking of okay, the timer, the timer I was talking, was probably within the five to six minute Mark, but you know what I think we're we're doing. Okay for time. Let'S move on to the next look: okay, now, once again, we're gon na turn to the back, because the next hairstyle is gon na be good. If your hair is starting to look like a rat, this is actually hairstyle that I've seen floating around on Instagram. I saw one of my mutuals, curly hair, boo wearing this, and I just thought it was perfect. You can resort to this hairstyle on day three day, four, once your hair is dry and not looking right and you can rehydrate your hair by spraying in a little leave-in conditioner. This one is one of my favorites, the neutral plenish leave-in conditioner. Also part of the gift sets very hydrating. Smells amazing and it'll just help you replenish some of your nourishments nutrients, Nutri plenish. It would be, it would replenish nutrition. That'S it that's what for replenishing. So you know the drill by now we're gon na need two hair ties and a lot of arm strength, we're turning we're turning and and we're timing. I actually think that this hairstyle is going to be within the five minute Mark, so yay. Let us begin. You know the drill wear your hair in the front. However, you feel comfortable. I think this time I'm gon na just wear it back. Maybe not you know what we're gon na do something different we're gon na first take the hair, half up put it in a hair, tie, tighten it up, and this way now I can fluff I like to get a little extra height at the top. It'S giving. It'S Fierce it's fierce, but I want the size snatched. That'S just what's gon na work better for my face shape, but if your face is skinny, then you might want a little extra volume on the sides to balance it out and now we're going to twirl this hair into a bun. Do the same thing on the bottom, so it's a double bun situation, I'm turning my head to see where I want to place this ponytail and I always want to keep things in line with my cheekbones to help lift the face. So I'm gon na bring it right up underneath that first top bun and when I tighten it, I'm going to tighten it from underneath or if you want to keep it Loose again. Just loosen up some of the strands. You may also want to pull out some of these and we're going to do the same thing twist this into a bun, I'm going to take a little bit of the neutral plunge, leave-in conditioner on my fingers to redefine some of these curly bits here in the Little twirl look at how they just bounce back to life. It'S the neutral plenish for me and to finish it off, I'm going to take one of these adorable little snowflake pins to accessorize each of the Buns. That is so pretty. I love that one and that's just how I put my own little Sparkle on it. I love this hairstyle. This is probably the easiest one to do, and it was the quickest come through okay and for the last look finally, we're going to do one more updo and it's going to be a festive messy. Bun you'll want to scrunchie for this one and the usuals bobby pins as needed, now keep in mind how you do a messy bun, maybe a little bit different depending on your hair length. This is how I'm going to do it for my hair length. If you need longer hair tutorials, we'll put my see-throughs YouTube channel in the description box below, but without further Ado. Let'S finish this thing: I'm going to keep some of these bangs forward this time. They'Ll get some love because I just love a messy bun with bangs or a little face frame. Rather, these aren't too long, but we'll flip forward to gather all the hair at the top of the head, and I like to twist the section just once before kind of squishing it into a bun. Now the ends of My Curls are going to be facing the front, that's kind of what I like. I like this little pineapple situation. So now I'm gon na secure this one to scrunchy fluff out the top section, pin down anything a little unruly and add our accessory. I'M going to take a few of these pins and place them in this Sunburst effect behind my ear and that's it. This look is all Vibes. Let me know which one is your favorite in the comment section below if you're gon na be styling any of these, I think this one might be my favorite only because it's probably the easiest one to do if you made it to the end of this video. Give me a high five and thank you so much to Aveda for partner with me on today's video. If you want to check out any of their holiday gift sets, they have beautiful, limited edition options for everybody, and the packaging is already stunning. No additional gift. Wrapping needed I'll link, my favorite gift sets from this year's collection in the description box below so go ahead there and check them out, and if you are interested in seeing any more hairstyle tutorials. Let me know by giving this video a thumbs up until next time. This has been your main girl Mel and I am out peace. It reminds people that I'm broken Jack. Can you tell that I'm the Hulk? I didn't this. This sweater came like this. Actually, it came with the this hole here, but I do especially in the green. It'S giving it's giving strength, don't mess with me since there's nowhere to go, let it snow, let it snow, let it no and that's it Joseph can we turn the water on for just a second. Thank you.

Jann Laria: I'm a new sub and I've been binge watching your videos you're amazing; thanks for making us love our curls all love from a curly French girl ❤➰

snowflakes215: These all look great on Mell and her amazing hair…could you please do styles for wavy girls? Girls who are low density? These wouldn’t work on people like that bc we don’t have the amount of hair and volume to hide the scarf or to do a half up style. I bet my whole head is less than half of Mell’s hair

Becca D.: So amazing! Could you also do a similar video with Amanda’s longer hair? I have long hair with no bangs and would love another version of this video.

Erin Carlson: Girl I was just wishing you’d post this exact video the other day and here you go reading our minds. I love youuuuu ❤

FlowerPower 233: Loved the double bun. Very french and elegant. I'll have to try on most voluminous day.

Amy Senffner: Absolutely beautiful!! ️

Heather Haworth: TY - LOVED the double pony braid place on top VERY 1940’s Vintage being half up half down. I would ALSO do this a second time to the back half of the hair the exact same way close to the top & make it a TOTAL Bridgerton Affect & for an evening look add the snowflake pins or bows or pin in a beaded strand etc.

Katie: The french twist pony is my fave ❤

Melissa Torres: Don’t think we did not notice you filmed in front of Amanda’s Winter Wonderland masterpiece ❄️ ☃️ loved the double buns and the head wrap. I have a big head so scarves never stay, this is a good truck or even incorporating in a braid ❤

nomical: These are super cute! Would you be able to do a video for curlies who have fine and low density hair? In talking low density to the point where the scalp is always visible, peaking through the hair. It's almost impossible for me to do an updo without a lot of scalp showing.

Marisol Espinoza: I’m not sure if you’ve done a video of this already, can you please do a video of recommended curly hair products for babies and kids? Thank you

Mariana H.: I loved alllll these hairstyles but my favorite was the one with the clips!!!

TheIdesofApril: I have a question I would love to see a video on! For those of us with scalp conditions like seborrheic dermatitis, we often have to wash daily or every other day to maintain a healthy scalp. Can you do a video on how to protect your curls if you have to wash more often? Like what kinds of products to use, techniques, etc?

Jessica Garcia: Gracias amiga!!! True curly is grateful for your godly talents!

Jzx: Hey Mell! i would like to bring the volume of my curls down a little.. i usually do a botox treatment but it’s been a year that i haven’t done anything to my hair!is there anything that you recommend besides botox or should i keep doing it?! Love your channel btw!!

Brianne L: Wished you also did a makeup tutorial. Love your lip shades and ur make up

Natalie Braun: Love your hair and personality!

ashly: happy texture Tuesday! btw i’ll try these hairstyles on my curly hair

Nadia: The third one is so cute!!!

Sophia Aloeristok: These are all so pretttyyyyyyy ❤️

Chasethegoat: Love your channel so gorgeous with all respect

Siobhaun: love the french twist pony with the scarf or clip!

Kathy Sahori: Sees you look amazing ❤❤❤❤❤I would probably knot my hair to my luck doing this

MaryAnn Mast: Hey Mel, I've messaged a couple times that I'm new to "finding" you. But I couldn't even possibly tell you how many hours I've watched total - but the first day I found you I LITERALLY watched all day & ALL night! I mean light was coming in my window. K - so I'm a little obsessed! I wanted to ask, did you know that we can't get these products in the states? I mean if you can I can't using the link that you have - the "postal code" is what we call a "zip code" right? If so my ZIP code can't be delivered to . One more thing I'd like to ask is will all the stuff you do work on long coarse HEAVY hair? I always have a hard time keeping the volume on top because my hair just pulls downward because it's sooo heavy. What products would you recommend for my hair type (that I can get down here in the US) Thanks for giving me hope that I can figure this head out, again. (It completely changed when I was in my 40's) & I've just let it do whatever the heck it wants & haven't tried to play with it since then. Did I say "Thank you"? Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!!!

imaginefun: I dressed as Darth Vader for Halloween and I actually did the double buns a bit lower to emulate Rey a little. And I even had two light saber bun pins to put in them!

cocobean666ful: Just discover you watch a few videos but got to stop need to go get myself some accessories & buy the products ….love your personality

Lia NOUATA: All of them for me

Elizabeth Orsillo: I love eggnog, too! And it doesn’t even have to be spiked!

Grinchy1: love the double bun

Claudia Okyere-Fosu: Stunning

Meagan Cavanaugh Belford: I love your vids!! I get so many tips for my 12 year old daughter's hair, but any suggestions to help with the massive bird's nest that she ALWAYS gets underneath??? Help!!

Bae Leef: You knew I needed this vid for thanksgiving and delivered before I could search it lol

Lia NOUATA: I love this

Carllisa McLawrence: Mell mell mell... makes me smile so much

פראדי רוט: hi mell, love you, thanks

Carllisa McLawrence: I like them all!!!

Opa Brock: I love your hair Im from Indonesia

SarcasticaleeXP: I like the one with the scarf at the back, very feminine.

Aromacreativestudios: Dominican Rum eggnog which I make at home every yr

klfannbbb: I'm glad your wrist is better ❤

Verreal: This is great with the mirror in the back showing it in real time.

Aurora Pietroni: Where did you get that top and cardigan combo?

Dani P: I really want my curly hair back but I haven't got a clue where to start

hana mcghee: i just wanted your very old vid on hydra fatigue and i don’t know what to do. my hair is curly but decently thin, probably have the size of yours. i’m not sure if it’s thin because of damage (i straightening it for 4 years everyday) but i did do a big chop march 2021 and ever since april 2021 i started wearing my hair curly everyday (only straightened 4 times since then, last time was over a year ago). i would believe by now that MOST of my hair has not been completely damaged by heat. my hair is around my armpit length when curly. i wash it once a week, meaning i use shampoo once a week. but i shower + wet my hair every single day. i’ve tried silk bonnets before, my hair just defies gravity. i wake up the next day and it’s frizzy, flattened, and more strands are going up rather than down. how am i supposed to keep my hair looking normal everyday if wetting my hair everyday is bad for it and using a bonnet doesn’t work? curly hair has been such a journey for me and i’m sick of always doing it wrong. i’m not content with hair hair at all either, the under/bottom strands have been oddly straight recently and have barely any curly. they’ll be down to my armpits while the hairs that frame my face (i have a completely even cut, all strands are cut to the same length. ik i should get a curly cut but i don’t want to lol) curl all the way up to my chin. how do i make these issue work?

Htet Htet Shwe Yi Win: Do roots definition

Opa Brock: My hair also curly

Elari: Are Mel's curls getting looser?

ariintheflesh: Thumbnail legit made me thought Mell joined Squid Game

000snow000: Not sure about style #2

Roussel: The second hairstyle

Karen Jeansonne: ✋️
