Hello, everyone happy New Year. I hope that you are doing well. I hope that all is well on your side of the world. All is well with me by God's grace. I am alive and well it's been a long time since I appeared on camera, so I wanted to come and say happy New Year to everyone. I just wanted to just share a few tips regarding winter hair care. I was recently just kind of thinking about the winter season which we are in at least on this side of the world, and I was just kind of thinking about you know: tips for Hair Care things that can really help us to maintain our hair. Even during these harsher colder colder months here are some tips that I hope that when you apply or if you choose to apply, it will really help to contribute to the growth and the length retention of your hair. So the first thing when it comes to the winter time, because the temperature in the atmosphere, beer, is so drying. One of the first things that I would recommend is to moisturize your hair, moisture, moisture, moisture. You have to keep your hair moisturized. Now I've talked about how to moisturize your hair in the previous videos, but basically the formula that I like to recommend is hydrate and seal and hydration has a lot to do with water. So whatever it is, that you're using to to moisturize your hair, make sure that it has a certain percentage of water content, because that is going to help to hydrate your hair. And then you seal that moisture that you get from your hydration with an oil. A butter, something that will keep that hydration in your hair. You don't ever want to just hydrate your hair and just leave your hair. Your your hair is going to dry out, going to break and so hydrate and seal. Another thing, that's also very important, is to make sure that you have a moisturizing schedule, so have a schedule that you moisturize your hair study, your hair, how often after you have washed your hair, do you notice that your hair is dry again for some people? It'S the next day for other people. It is three days after that and so study your hair and know how long it takes for your hair to be dry again and then moisturize your hair accordingly, and so I typically like to recommend at least 72 hours. So if I wash my hair today, 72 hours after that, I need to go back in and I need to replenish my hair with hydration and then seal in that moisture that I get from that hydration. Now, of course, our products are available and they are specifically designed to hydrate your hair and to help you to seal your hair. We have our rehydrating leave-in conditioner, we have our hair growth oil and then we also have our hair butter as well. All of these ingredients are packed and full of great great benefits that will help to nourish your hair, help to soften your hair, help to prevent breakage, strengthen your hair and help to ultimately help you to retain longer and grow healthier hair. And so, if you are interested, the link will be in the description box below. Of course, you don't have to use our products, but definitely use that formula that I just shared with you hydrate and seal. The next thing that you want to do during this winter season is to make sure that you are wearing your hair up as much as possible. Now, in the winter time, you know we are used to wearing a lot of coats and sweaters and scarves, and all of these things are made of oftentimes wool fur and all of these things and as our hair comes in contact with all of those Fabrics, it Can actually lead to friction. Friction will lead to Tangles and Tangles, if not well taken care of it will lead to breakage. It can also lead to dryness of the hair and dry hair breaks and so make sure that you're wearing your hair up as much as you can like. For me, I wear my hair up about 99 of the time. It is just what works for me um when I started my natural hair Journey. I just got used to wearing my hair in different kinds of updos and I love updos. I think it's just so elegant and so for me, that's just what works and also my line of work. I'M a registered nurse. I work in a very busy Hospital environment and I just can't have my hair, so it's just gon na get into stuff, and I just don't want to compromise that. I mean it's just not worth it um and so most of the time you're gon na see my hair up and I've actually seen that that really has benefited my hair, because the more I am wearing my hair up. I am hiding the ends of my hair and the more often I'm hiding the ends of my hair, the more length I'm actually retaining, because my hair is not coming in contact with all of these things that are going to cause breakage and so for me. I love it like right now I have this updo. I have twisted my hair and I just braided it from the bottom up, and so these are the kinds of hairstyles that you will see me with, and these are the kinds of hairstyles that I would encourage. You to invest in these hairstyles are also known as protective hair styling, where you are protecting the ends of your hair from exposure. You'Re also considered preservative hairstyles. So that's just a terminology that I added and you'll find that in my ebook there's a link in the description box as well so preservative hairstyle is a style that basically, you wear for more than three days or at least a week for a length of time Whereby you're not touching your hair every day, so I did this style today, I'm going to be wearing this for like a week. The only thing that I do is that I just moisturize my edges in the morning. I just kind of brush it in and I'm good, I'm out of the house and so make sure that this winter season you are investing in wearing your hair off of your neck as much as possible. When you also do these Styles always make sure. The first point: moisturize, your hair, really really well, especially the end of your hair, make sure that you keep it moisturized so that, as your hair is packed away, it doesn't dry out so quickly. Another thing is, I do not recommend keeping your hair in for like a month and two months, all in the name of protective styling. You can do cornrows and do a style like this. I mean they're, honestly, there's so many styles that you can do. I also don't recommend adding attachment to your hair like adding on hairs, and you know, wool and stuff, like that. I don't recommend it, because I just believe that we can nurture our own hair to flourish instead of adding all of these extra things. The next thing that I would recommend is to invest in creamier and more thicker hair products, so, for example, for your moisturizers, so you might want to opt for a hair butter like a heavy hair butter. Instead of like a lighter hair butter, because the heavy hair butter is going to really help you to seal in that moisture that you have in your hair and for those people that maybe have looser textures, you can still use a hair butter. But you just have to use a little at a time you don't have to use a whole bunch of of product. You can just use a nice light film, but that will really help to retain that. Hydration that moisture that you've, given onto your hair and it'll, help to nourish your hair as well, so you might even want to switch to maybe like a creamier leave-in conditioner, especially after you have shampooed your hair like when you have shampooed your hair. I would personally recommend that you use like a heavier leave-in conditioner like a creamier leave-in conditioner. Instead of like a liquid one, cuticles are open, and so you want to make sure that you're feeding your hair with you know nourishing products, especially at that stage, maybe about like three days later or a week later. If you have to go back in and refresh your hair, then maybe you can go in with the liquid leave-in. The next thing that I would recommend that you do this winter season for your natural hair is to deep condition your hair, deep conditioning, your hair is going to help your hair to be strong. It'S going to help your hair to be resilient. It'S going to help you to prevent breakage. It is also going to help to infuse much moisture into your hair. Once again, the winter season is drying and there's harsh winds and all of these things. So you want to make sure that you are investing in deep conditioning your hair consistently. I would recommend every time you wash your hair in the wintertime, deep condition, or you can just stick to just like deep conditioning every two weeks out of the month and so deep condition your hair deep condition, your hair, you want deep conditioners that have protein in Them only it's like oils in them that will really help to nourish your hair and strengthen your hair so that your hair can withstand the harsh winter season. I have a video where I talk all about deep conditioning and I will go ahead and make sure that I leave that video in the description box for you. I just want to just remind you once again that your hair is God's design he's specifically designed it for you. It is a gift, and it's a beautiful one and when you put the time and the resources into taking care of your hair, your hair has no choice but to flourish. Okay, so this year this is a new year. Make sure that you are prioritizing your hair. If you want it to really flourish once again, our products are available to help you on this journey. Please go ahead and visit our website. We have great five star reviews of people that have used our products, and so your hair is no different and I trust God that your hair will also benefit from our products.
