Hi guys welcome to my channel today, I'm gon na show you how I take care of my daughter's very curly hair. I start by wetting it down completely saturate all the way through in the water. It'S just plain water, with a little bit of just bubble bath. In it, it's one that's from gaia and a little bit of QB as well for her skin. It'S not too bad for a hair. It'S not CG! Technically, that's pretty good, then for shampoo, I use the gaia baby shampoo. It'S also a curly girl, approved shampoo. You can use if your own hair work it through and try and really get into the roots of the hair, really give the scalp a good massage and then get it through the lengths for kids hair. They do actually have a fair bit of stuff in the lengths of their hair. Unlike adults, it got all sorts of grime from the day, but it's still really important to get into that. Scalp give it a good massage so that it encourages growth rinse. The shampoo out completely and thoroughly and make sure there's nothing left, no suds, no, nothing! Oh! No! Oh gosh numb. We use the ganya banana hair food for Ava's hair. I use a fair bit it. You can't really overdo it with the conditioner when you put it in particularly for curly hair curly hair is innately dry. So it's really important that thoroughly saturated a lot of people have trouble with the ganya hair food. We don't her hair loves it. She loves it. We don't get any genus if I find that it doesn't quite work through the hair properly and a lot of the time. It won't just add a little bit more water before you think about adding more conditioner, then squish and while you squish the water in the more the water gets into the hair, shaft and the better. I then leave that that into a hair for as long as I possibly can distract your child with whatever you can today, I'm using bubbles bath toys we like bath stickers as well, really fun so then I'll squish at the end as well, and then after it's All squished through I'm gon na detangle it I'm using today a knock off Denman brush, but you can use a Denman or you can use a tangle teezer again, not proper CG, but for kids hair, which is so fine. It can be hard to work it through with just your fingers alone, so I do this to tangle it, but also to distribute all the conditioner make sure every single strand of hair has conditioner on it. Has water running through it so that it's properly moisturized. So we can keep the curls looking as juicy as we possibly can, and I'm gon na rinse out about 50 % of it there's a lot of conditioners that you can leave in the hair, particularly the hair food. It'S actually meant to be as a leave-in. I also use the goat's milk conditioner, our neighbours hair. That works really well too, so I'm gon na dry it with a microfiber, this one's a little hair wrap which she likes, but she often won't. Let me leave it on there, so I dry her hair, while she's still sitting in the bar still happy before I take her out and she gets cold and I find that works better than trying to do everything at once. Don'T use a proper tail, then the styling of Ava's here when it's dry and she wakes up like this every morning it looks insane wet it thoroughly. We'Re detangle. This is my homemade detangle. If you'd like a recipe or a video about how I make it, then please comment below, and I just saturate her hair completely as though she has been in the bath or the shower. It needs to be that wet. Then I'm gon na detangle it - and I have this really cool detangling comb with a long end that I can use for styling as well, and I use that to run through and just detangle. That'S why it's so important for a head to be wet, because you can't really brush curly hair when it's dry or whether it just turns into a big frizzy marshmallow mess. Then I'm gon na run through some gel. I use the kids care organic gel from Kohl's. It works incredibly well, it's really cheap comes out of her hair, really easily gels use for a couple of reasons and holds in the moisture which is really important to make sure that hair doesn't get dried frizzy, but also hold it in place. So it doesn't come loose and get in kids way, while they're running around during the day, then I'm going to use this much thinner. Comb after has completely detangled to actually style. Her hair has really really thin if your child's hair is thicker and if it's maybe a more coarser hair type like a four, then you might want to consider sticking with a wide tooth or just using your fingers rather than using one of these. So I section her hair run the comb through and then just tie it away. It'S really important to use fairly thick hair bands, don't use anything too thin like the little tiny rubber ones. They will pull the hair out and we don't want to damage it. It'S important they have some sort of cloth cover and that they don't have any kind of metal pieces in them, particularly for Cutex. It'S so fragile. This is where Ava completely loses the ability to sit still for me, which happens a lot, don't stress about it and she runs away, and then we revert to putting frozen on so after frozen's. On that I do the next part of it hair. Once it's tied up, then I just pull her curls into place and just sort of slip them around so that they sit nicely. If I don't do this, they still look fine, obviously she's just kid hair, but it just makes it look that a little bit extra cute. If I'm following her natural curl pattern and curl it up in the back of her hair, I give it a quick scrunch. Pull apart, some of the bigger clumps of hair, so that it gives a nice bit of volume at the back to try and make her curls go up as high as they can on her head, and that's it that's all I do with her hair. It'S pretty simple: it means that her hair looks lovely every day, it's pretty manageable and because we do it every single day we style it. She doesn't mind having it styled the shampooing. We do probably once to twice a week something after daycare when she's got all sorts of bits of sand and muck in her hair but yeah there you go, that's how we style and care for Ava's curly hair. Thank you so much for watching hope to see you guys again soon. Bye,

BoundlessEyes: Your toddler is so lucky to be growing up in the times of the CG method! In my day it was Johnson's baby shampoo and then crying a lot while my mum brushed it before nursery :)

Niriksha Jacob: Love your video and have watched it a few times! Sorry for the next few questions! Do you wash and style your daughters hair like everyday? If not, how often do you do this routine? What do you do on the days of not washing, how do you refresh her curls? Are there any other gels available in Australia that you can recommend as I am not able to source that one from a Coles near me :-( Thank you for sharing!!

Ambika Vagadia: So helpful, thank you! My toddler's hair is very similar. Would you be able to share your detangling spray recipe?

Mikey Collins: Any tips for the carseat? Every time we drive more than 10 minutes her hair gets completely squished in the carseat and is basically a flat frizzy mess. Does product prevent that?

Umm Jibreel: Great tips thank you! I have to figure out how to get my 15 month old to keep her hair ties in she takes them out straight after, I guess it’s about persistence

Carry Stutler: Can we get some more information on your homemade detangling spray as well as the pink detangling comb tjat you are using.

Kelsey Fry: My son's hair is just like this. I'll have to look for that gel that is the only thing I don't do to his hair. It would probably help a lot like you said with locking in moisture and holding his curls.

Kim Albaez: Thank you for this video! God bless

David Weerakoon: I would love to get the recipe for your morning treatment my daughter has the same hairstyle as your little star.

Nina . G: Would love more videos on your homemade detangler

My daughter gets her hair from her daddy n idk anyone with curly hair thats a female so no one knows how to care for it so I've been struggling to find a hair routine that would work for her without getting frizzy. All I need to do now find a way to get her to sit still so I don't feel like I'm wrestling a alligator everytime we do her hair.

Elisa Garcia: So cute! What age did you start adding products to her hair?

Stephanie M: Nice video it really helped me

Julia K: thanks. especially the morning routine helped a lot. Showed me that i don't make it wet enough. Do you try it in some way, it's cold outside atm so i would be shitty to send her out with wet hair in the morning :)

2018na.d D: U shldnt use so many chemicals on such a smqll baby and garnier is a very normal brand and it wld have sulphates and other chemicals harmful for babies

sharmi d: So much of product..just apply warm coconut oil 10min before and wash with mild shampoo...

genie: this poor baby hair...

Gabrielle Davis: AM I THE ONLY ONE?! A few others it seems.. feel the few dislikes are because of the rough nature of 1. The brushing baby girl's hair; brushing should be gentle and a bonding experience, even when rushed! And 2. The pigtails look WAY too tight! not good for her head or for the hair, I don't care how "cute" it may appear. I have a toddler girl.

Isenjon: Ok not bad except for the cellphone use!
