How To Use A Diffuser For Curly Hair

A diffuser is that part that usually comes with your hairdryer that nobody pays attention to and almost everybody throws away. I'M kidding this is a diffuser diffusers come in like different shapes and sizes, but pretty much. This is what they all look like, not so ugly, but you guys get the point. They usually have like little teeth and it's sort of like a little cup, where your curls are better rest on this bad boy goes attached to your hairdryer and what it does is it distributes the airflow to a larger area, and it does it in a much More sort of calm way without a diffuser, it's the air! That'S coming out of here. It'S sort of like blasting out of here very difficult for us curly girls to dry our hair that way because it just pushes the curls everywhere it creates fridge and it's just sort of like a hot mess. Okay on one of my favorite is volume. Of course, diffusing is awesome when you want volume definition, obviously helps you to dry your hair, much quicker. It also helps to sort of reveal your natural pattern, because the way that it's drawing your hair, your hair, is, have pulled down minimize heat damage, a diffuser also helps with frizz the enemy of the curly hair anyways. Let'S go ahead and jump straight into the demonstration. I'M gon na go ahead and show you guys exactly how I use my diffuser. So for the sake of this video, I went ahead and I prepped my hair off of camera. Now, if you guys are interested in seeing a detailed curly hair routine, I will go ahead and I will link that in the description below also I'll go ahead and I'll link it at the end of the video honestly using a diffuser is very easy. The concept is very simple at the beginning, it might be a little intimidating, but I promise you the by a third or fourth time that you do it. It'S going to be capable diffusing you here might suggest, is while you're getting used to this process, go ahead and use the settings low, low heat and low speed. Once you get a little bit more familiar with your hair dryer, your diffuser and your curl type, you can go ahead and adjust those settings. What I use for my hair is the medium heat, and I do use high speed play around with settings one week. Try one way another week tried a different way. You could try one month, one way and the next month, another way you're gon na find out what works for you, because carny hair is very particular. Every curl is different, so something that works for me may not work for you and vice versa. The trick to this is always having the teeth, which are these little guys facing upward we're gon na. Do this you're gon na cup it you're gon na hold it for a couple of seconds. Then you're gon na let go the curls you're gon na find another section. You'Re gon na cut that section you're gon na hold it for a couple of seconds. I have very thin here, so I don't actually like to hold the diffuser in one place for too too long and then plus I do feel like it starts to get really hot. So the idea is to always have your curls cup inside of the diffuser. So let's go ahead and start that now avoid moving the diffuser too much you don't want to be like wiggling around you don't want to move it while it's inside of the curls that can cause some fries okay. So now we go ahead and we flip it to the other side. I find that it doesn't necessarily matter which way you start, whether you flip your hair forward, whether you flip it to one side to the other. What'S really important is that you get in almost every angle of your hair so for right now, for the sake of the video, I simply started on this side. I normally flipped my hair forward. It depends on the room. To be very honest. It just depends on the mood so for right now, I'm gon na do the other side and as soon as I'm done with that, when I feel like I've diffused almost every angle, I'm gon na go ahead and flip my hair forward, as I start to feel My curls drying, I start to get closer and closer to my scalp. Eventually right now, I don't know if you guys can see the teeth of the diffuser actually touching my scalp. If you are very sensitive to heat, then I suggest put it on a low setting, whether it be cold. A hair dryers have like a little button, this shoots out cold air or the lowest temperature that you have so the coolest temperature that you have so now. I'M going to go ahead and I'm going to fit my hair forward, all righty guys. So that's pretty much how you use a diffuser, it's very simple and everything else is just simply customizing it to your needs.
