✅ How To Tame Curly Hair [For Guys] - Mens Curly Hairstyles

The reason I'm doing these types of videos is because I want to show you guys that you don't just have to have a short quickly hairstyle to make styling products like this work for you, you can make them work for you. If you know how well hello, everybody and welcome back for yet another hair video, this, this filming batch that I'm doing at the moment, I've got a couple of tutorials in which I haven't done tutorials in a while. So I'm pretty happy to be back at it. As you can see, my hair is a little bit crazy as perfect, as I like to think I am. I do wake up more so like this than what you probably see on snapchat and Instagram, so hello, I'm human and in today's video I just wanted to show you a really cool trick that I've been doing using braids to give my curls more definition. So if you're part of the Facebook group you'll know that I did a post a while ago, where I took some pictures of my hair in braids and then I went to sleep, let it dry overnight, then I took the braids out and I got these really Beautiful curls, I think I might put the video that I lodged in the Facebook group just there, if you aren't part of the Facebook group, go and join it right now, like there's a link in the description, it's so cool because people post stuff, like that, all The time so I got a really good result from it and I thought hey. This is really awesome, but what if I wanted to get those defined curls in a quicker time period? I thought it's a little bit impractical to put my hair in braids. Go to sleep and wake up with natural curls like all the time. So what I'm going to be doing in this video today is in the exact same method, except just using a hair dryer the products that I'm using, as you can see, they're all lined up here, there's not really that much to it. So I've got my heat protector, which is the Sebastian trailer. That'S gon na be protecting me from the heat of the blow dryer. I'Ve also got my to behave products. I'Ve got supernovae and behave, leaving cream, that's great for moisturizing, and then I've also got over on this side. I'Ve got the elastics and chapter hairstyling paste, so you guys obviously know who did know. Brian is he's a really cool YouTube creator in the hair and styled sector. I really love his work. Ever since I started making my YouTube videos. I'Ve been following Jordan, really really cool and his business partner Paulus, who also sorry, has a YouTube channel reached out to me and said: hey we'd, love to like send you some chapter to see how it works on your longer hair and I went hell yeah after The success I had with the bloom, hybrid cream clay working in my hair - I was like give me what out. Whatever else you got so I've taken on the chapter and chapter styling cream is good for shaping it's also good for a little bit of hold, but with flexibility. So I'm really interested to see how it goes, and it also gives a matte finish interested to see how it goes. I'Ve actually already used it and I do like it, but we're gon na be seeing how it goes after this tutorial. Who am I kidding a couple of things about this product? First, the smell of it. I couldn't really get my head around it, whether I liked it or not. To begin with, and when I opened it, I went. This smell is just incredibly familiar and I couldn't put my finger on where I had smelt it before real organic, beautiful smell, that's kind of what it smells like and after a while, when I kind of really got my head around it, I was like that's what It is, and I couldn't keep my nose out of it so anyway, I'm interested to show you how it looks the instructions for it are. You need to use it on damp or dry hair. My hair is completely dry at the moment. So what I'm going to do is quickly whizz off to the bathroom and I'm gon na dampen my hair and I'll be back to apply these then we'll apply that and we'll get into this okay. Okay! So now I'm back! I'Ve got my damp hair. I probably put a little bit more water than I needed to in here, but that's because my hair dries so quickly like watch okay and it was in the bathroom. I was kind of like darting back and forth, and I've picked up a few extra things that I could use in this. So I've got my wide tooth comb. I'Ve got my iris clips to hold and section my hair out of the way, and I also grabbed a detangler spray, so detangling. All my knots is one thing that I like to do so that's gon na be the absolute first thing. I do one little tip. Combing, your hair, while it's wet, be very careful because when your hair's wet it's more prone to breakage, so if you brush, while it's wet, it can cause some issues, so just be very careful like I'm not being cool. That'S me tangles out of the way. Next, I'm gon na put in my moisturizing, so we've got all behaved, leaving cream some supernova. You can't just spray that directly on your hair, but I'm just like all in the hand, then I'll go on my hair Capisce. Now we're gon na grab the chapter. So I'm just gon na grab like a nice big clump of like that. I might need a little bit more than that. I'M gon na rub it on my hand, you just use it like any other clay similar to like you would with bloom on originals. Give it a rub. Alright, now we got all the chapter in final touch: we're gon na put some sebastian trilling on give it a shake up. We can see the two fluids in there. I like almost want to drink it line them up, oh bloody hell. So now we've done all of that. We'Ve applied the chapter we've applied. All of this I've put my heat protector in. I am ready to section and braid and then we're gon na dry it up. So what I'm gon na do with this first is. I wanted to make this simple, so people at home could follow it as well. If you know how to plat just plat all of yours, if you know how to braid a little bit, I'm gon na be doing a little bit of a mix. So what I'm gon na do is I like to shape my hair in the way I like to wear it. If you know what I mean, okay, my hair is really pliable. So if I set it this way, it'll tend to flow that way it doesn't prong out easily and if I braid my hair this way, it's more likely to sit that way, rather than prong you out everywhere. So that's just follow me. Okay and I'm not gon na, be too pedantic about it. I just want to be able to set the hair in in place. Sometimes I wonder how I got into this hair gig. You know what I mean. Actually, no, you know what learning, how to braid. My own hair and all the things that I've learned how to do with her over the last couple of years. It'S like priceless to be honest. Like I love it all right. There we go. I'Ve got my first braids in there. If you don't know how to do a French braid like this, just plat, your hair, like you, would this on the sides, so it goes down and then pretty much you just want to work with the rest of your hair so make I might work from the Back, I don't have like a set structure for this either like so so as if that's what you're looking for, but I'm just like kind of going at it. As I go it'll turn out cool. You watch okie dokie, alright, so there we go. I finally got all my braids in that's, probably the quickest I've ever paraded my hair uh-huh. I think the time that I did this before my hair was actually wet like actual wet and because I was going to bed. I had all the time in the world to let it dry, but today I went with damp hair, so my hair actually started to dry on the go with the product in it and it made it a little bit hard to work with. So I did it as quickly as possible, and this is now what it's looking like, there's, probably a ton of like miss strands around the sides in the back and now it's time to get into the blow-drying. I'Ve got this little blows right. I hardly ever blow-dry my hair or use any heat, so I have this one: hair dryer, it doesn't even have a setting. It'S just got hot or nothing. So I guess we go on heart approximately 10 hours later. So that was a lot more time-consuming that I thought it was gon na be if there's any dampness in there, it's only very minimal. So I'm happy with that, and what I'll do from here is just like: let it cool down. So what actually happens is when you heat the hair up its moldable, really really moldable and then once it cools down and sets more into place. So, while they're still hot, it doesn't make sense to take them out because they can still flop everywhere. What I really want is it for it to cool down, and I'm gon na use my dirty old mouse pad to do that, because I don't have a fan. That'S three minutes. Oh cool three minutes is over: let's get these puppies out, okay, so that was actually a lot more difficult than I thought it was gon na be so once I was blow-drying my hair. What I was finding was the outside of the braids was appearing dry and then, as soon as I started, to open them up a little bit, there was still a bit of moisture inside. So that means I kind of have to heat that up. Wait for that to dry as well and just got a little bit tedious there. However, the end result is still nice rather than having like really defined curls, it's more so giving me more of a beach wave, and I know I don't look extremely different to when I started in this video, but you can see there's a little bit more control In my hair and the curl pattern is a lot more relaxed and I've got a bit more control. It'S I've been bodied in a bit more and it's really really cool. I would actually wear my hair out like this. I really really like it. I think if I were to do this again, I would actually probably do the actual braid along my head on both sides, because if you see here, this side is far less defined, then what this one came out, this one came out more like Hello, I'm a Curl, and especially these curls in the front here they're just so like hey look at us and yeah, I love the result. Here'S a 360 for you as far as the chapter pace goes, so I'm assuming that this hold is gon na last out. I probably won't know until a couple of hours time, but my hair smells really good. It feels nice, it's very minimal product. In my hair it was a little bit more time consuming than I thought it would be, however, to get a result like this, rather than sleeping overnight, it's probably a better deal because yeah, I can actually go out like this and that's totally fine.
