Hey friends, welcome back to my channel or, if you're new, super special welcome to you super glad that you're here today, i'm really excited to get into like a hair in review. You get it. You see what i did there. I am gon na be going over. All of my hairstyles throughout 2020., i feel like this year, i kind of experimented a little bit more. I had a little bit more hair growth and i just did a little bit more with my hair. I am generally, i would say, like a little bit more of a lazy natural when it comes to doing my hair. I just generally like my hair out and fluffy and stuff, but i did have a whole entire quarantine. Where i got a little bit. You know a little bit creative, so yeah. I just thought it would be really fun to kind of go through all my 20 20 hairstyles and i think it'll actually be really dope, because if you guys ever need some hair spiration like you just want to see some hairstyles and figure out like what you Can do with your hair if you get bored or something you can always refer back to this video, because it's about to be literally a year worth of hairstyles, so let's go ahead and get into it. Alright, so i'm just gon na go ahead, whip out my phone and head to instagram and i'm literally just gon na go ahead and scroll all the way to the very beginning of 2020., okay, so my first post of the year was this photo right here. You can see, i was rocking that side, part and yeah. My hair is just it was a lot, a lot shorter. Actually, if you compare to what it is now - and i did actually get a trim this year so yeah - really - i just kind of started out the year with the side swoop, action drying, your hair with bangs can kind of be a process, because when they're wet They'Re in front of your eyes, you kind of need them to dry in place to look good, so i used to like really go for the side swoop when my bangs were a little overgrown or if i just wanted like a wash day. That was simple and like not in my face, you know so yeah, i think a lot of like in the beginning of the year. I was like side swoop girl and then it looks like after like the move and everything i was like all right. I have a little bit more time, you know so i went ahead and i went back to my bangs, which i would probably say this is like my signature look. This is what you guys are used to seeing and i love it. It'S a really beautiful shape that i think is flattering on most people, if not everybody it just gives you some nice body. You'Ve got just a really nice shape overall. So of course you guys know. I rocked that bang look majority of the year, so the first actual, like hairstyle experimentation, thing that i kind of did was in february. I tried a flexi rod set for the first time ever. I will say when i first like took on my flexi rod and i was like rocking the style i was like wow. This is like so not me. This is one of those like way outside of my comfort zone moments. You know, and really this was the first and last time that i did a flexi rod set. I do think that i would try this again because i might maybe like it now that i have a little bit more additional length. I have more, you know with more length, you have more room to play and like kind of try different things, so maybe i will try a flexi rod again. I don't know, let me know below in the comments, if that's something that you guys would want to see, because i'm down, if you're down so moving right along literally right after that, i was like. Let me switch her up again and i put on one of my all-time favorite curly ponytails, like y'all, can tell me anything when i'm wearing a long curly ponytail, one of my favorite looks ever ever ever ever. This ponytail is by curly clips. I actually like, as of right now, just recently ordered another one, that's a little bit more like wavy than it is curly, but i'm really excited to try that one out as well but yeah. This is cute. This is always a go-to when i just wanted, like a spicy like put together more slick, because my natural hair can tend to just look wild crazy and don't get me wrong, absolutely love it. But for those moments where you just want a slick vibe, this is my go-to for show. I love it, love it. Oh the attitude, the attitude it just turns me into a new person. To be honest, all right, moving right along. I think my poof kind of also transforms throughout the year, as my hair grew the first whole half of this year. My pineapple was popping. It was big, it was the longest it had ever been in that moment, of course, but it was like that moment before it was actually too big to like flop over. It was like it was perfect. My proofs definitely don't look like that anymore. They look a little bit more sad, a little bit more mushroomy and i definitely have to put in a little bit of extra effort to get it to really stand up and look really poppin. Actually, for that reason, don't really wear poofs as often anymore like not as a look. I wear them every night like a loose pineapple to go to bed, but i don't really wear it as like a look anymore so moving right along okay. So this is another hairstyle that i really really loved. So i actually got inspiration for this hairstyle. By show that i was watching, which is orphan black, you love sci-fi. Definitely 10 out of 10 recommend orphan black. It'S a sick show. I wish i could erase it from my mind and watch it again. I loved it. One of the girls in the show had like these, like braid things that would like go back into her. I think did she have dress my inspiration, for this look definitely came directly from that show and i really really loved how this came out. I don't know why i haven't done my hair like this again, but i really really loved it. Definitely, i will definitely be revisiting this style cute, and then you can kind of tell when the quarantine hit, because for a while, my bangs ended up just growing all the way out. There was no way that i could really make them work and yeah. It was just side swoop for a minute there side swoop, pony tail like i was just kind of doing what i had to do. You all can see it. Y'All can literally see it happen here, like the bangs, no more and they're, just like swooped to the side completely. Oh, okay! So then, by time april rolls around i'm figuring out like okay, like can do bangs tired of side swoop. Then what can i do? And this is actually the first time doing, half up half down style with my curly hair. How cute i absolutely love it. I got this inspiration from, i feel like i just see it all the time on instagram tons of curly girls do this style. Honestly, it's a vibe and i think the longer my hair grows again, the more i will probably wear that style all right. So moving right along, we got more side swoop action in quarantine, oh and then this was the first time ever that i learned how to do twists like the cornrow twist. I still don't know how to braid, but i can do the twist and she's cute. I feel like this is something that i really really mastered this year. I'Ve done it a couple times, it's kind of like my staple thing, it's like a little bit of a moisture search for my hair. I mentioned this in my retaining moisture video. The only thing with this hairstyle is, i feel like it, takes at least like 10 years off of my life, this style without makeup. Oh my gosh, i look like i haven't even reached university, yet it's crazy, but i still love it so cute and i still do it and i don't care so where have we reached in the years still in april? Look at that look at all of the different lifestyles. This was basically me trying to keep myself busy so that i wasn't really like paying attention to the news and all the craziness so yeah, that's basically what i was doing in april. I also did have a little bit of fun with some really small tight top knots. Do you guys remember seeing this? I love those little top knots. I feel like they're like editorial looking, especially for me, who has big curly hair, like when i'm able to condense. My hair into something that's like a super tight top knot. It just switches my look up completely and i love to do that from time to time. Ah, am i gon na pick favorites? Am i gon na pick favorites? Okay, this? If not, the favorite is one of my favorite hairstyles of this entire year, and i don't know why. I only did it once, but the space buns i oh there was such a vibe, and can we also talk about hershey photobombing me in the absolute most cutest way possible? I just i love it. I love everything about these space buns. They were so fun and also so different from anything that i have ever done ever loved it, and i wish i had like a music festival or something that i could have worn this out too, because this is cute i mean. I know this is another one of those styles that kind of took years off. My life. People would have id'd me, but i don't care. I think it was like really insanely insanely cute yeah, so space funds what month with space funds, is still april y'all. I was working in april and then more quarantine, vibes in may. I then started cutting my own hair. That'S when i did my whole curl, dusting video and taught you guys how you can actually do that at home. You don't necessarily have to go to a hairdresser. Every single time moving right along, i feel like okay, so this is summer now. Well, it's not summer, but it's leading on into summer. This is towards, like the end of may. I started really playing around with these fun bandanas. I remember ordering them on amazon because again i was kind of like how can i switch up my hair? What else can i do? The bangs are overgrown like what do i do, and these bandanas are actually really really fun. I love them. I did this yellow one, i'm pretty sure i had a red one at some point, then i ordered some from asos like a really nice, like leopardy print one. I really had fun with the scarves with like a big poof and a scarf. That was like definitely a whole other style, a whole nother vibe that i really really loved and clearly like it was really balling out in spring and the summer as well. So i would say yeah spring summer, bandanas scarves it was me it was lit. I also spent a lot of the year reminiscing, my big chop, the look honey, the look. This is just trendy chic. I don't have time for you, i'm a hot girl and i know it and i'm a boss every day of 2020 i consider chopping again. I will say that, honestly, even right now, i'm like girl, you could chop it again and just grow it back. It'S fine, but i don't know we'll see and then finally, i found a hairdresser and i went to get my bangs cut back. This is when the bangs made their reappearance. You guys would have seen this vlog. If not again, it will be linked. I yeah. I had a really great experience with this haircut and i was so so happy to have my bangs back. Your girl was just back in better look at this. Look at this yes, honey, so yeah the bangs were back. Oh, you know what i also did this really cute random, but, like super super, quick hairstyle, i pinned up one side literally, a two second hairstyle. So super easy and then once you like slick the edges, oh it looks so so good! Yes, why haven't i done this again? What else we got? Oh okay, so this was definitely a huge milestone. Okay august 9th 2020, your girl fit her hair inside of a hat honey. Yes, call me a magician whatever you want, but i got to fit this big old hair into a regular dad hat and it was great. I actually did a whole reels, showing you guys how i did it. So if you guys haven't seen that again, i shall link it below for you, but yeah that was really really fun. I actually kind of side swept my bangs to the side. Kept them side. Swept underneath the hat with little curly willys coming down, i think that was super cute. I can definitely expect to see this a lot more often, as my hair grows out 100. Okay, this one has to be another one of my favorites 100 brushed out beautiful badass. Just actually loving everything about this every single thing about this, the volume the shape everything - and i literally all i did - was brush up my hair and then boom. That was it, like i loved just having that wild hair that was not defined at all, just fluffy lioness vibes. I'Ve never ever done that before. When i did this like, i thought it was so so much fun and it was so cute. So this is now on into september. I thought this one was really super cute again, another style that i really need to do more often because it is super easy and again hair out of your face, like it's just an easy style, nice to look at, but also very simple and very comfortable as Well, so super cute: okay, we have another favorite, we have another favorite, i don't know which one is the favorite favorite they're all going to have to tie for favorites. This is my third favorite and that's the bantu knot says even the vibe of this photo. I really really enjoyed i loved them and i loved adding like the little squiggle, the little curly wurly in front of the ear. I think that added an additional type of personality to it, like that was kind of my way of making the style my own. You know because everybody does bantu knots, but i really wanted to do it in my own kind of way and i actually loved love, love loved, the way that that came out but yeah then, after that i had my vacation when i went home. So i kind of just let my hair out: it was either out or up in a poof there's like really no in between oh and i did this really fun and cute, like side swoop puff for halloween. I thought this was really cute as well. I had a lot of fun with this. Actually, let me go back really quick to like one post before when i did my hair, like a coppery red for velma, how about that? Okay playing with hair color a little bit safely without the commitment loved it. I loved playing around with the girl smith hair makeup. It was just too much fun and it really had me thinking that i could go red honey like 100 of the time right like how cute let me know below, if you guys think i should do that. I no promises, but i'm curious to see like who thinks that i should maybe do that because, honestly, i'm really considering doing something a little bit different, a little bit more drastic in 2021. Am i gon na cut i'm gon na color? I have no idea what it's going to be, but something is going to happen. I want to do something really different. I'M like getting bored now, y'all the hair grew and now i'm a little bored so yeah we did hair colors, we did halloween and then on. After that, i had like a whole moment where i did my little top knots again. This is really fun. I was wearing the new desi sunnies, which were oh, so dope and then yeah for the rest of the year. I rocked my bangs a little bit more, but at this stage right now they are a little bit more grown out. I'M definitely rocking the middle part. Oh you know what i almost forgot to mention my twist out, because this is definitely huge, huge, huge huge. I mean the level of curl definition that i got from doing a twist out for the first time ever. I'Ve already done it another time since then, and probably by the time you've seen this video, i will have probably done it again. I love me a really good juicy looking twist out it's great. It is great, especially this time of year, when it's much much colder in the winter like this is just perfect. I don't even know why i waited so long to do twist outs, but i definitely know that's going to be another one of my go-to styles, especially as my hair continues to grow longer. So i do have to say this has to be one of the four favorites, so we've got top four and they're all they're all number one like they're tied, so yeah i've basically ended 2020 with middle parts. I think that is now my new thing and yeah. I'M really excited to kind of switch it up in 2021. I just i again. I just want to do something different. I want to have some fun and yeah. We are getting oh, my gosh, yes and we're getting into three years of being natural wow. Those three years like really really flew by that's crazy, so yeah, that is my 2020 hair in review, go ahead and comment below and let me know which one was your favorite hairstyle. I'M really really curious to know if maybe some of your favorites align with some of my favorites who knows yeah. I had so much fun doing this and i feel so inspired and so ready to come through with some more hairstyles and just some more fun things for you guys in 2021, so guys, thank you so so much for watching. I'M wishing you such a beautiful happy new year 2021 is the year we rise and you are going to hear me say this probably like three times a day, but it is i'm manifesting it for all of us all right. I love you guys so much. Thank you for your continued support throughout 2020. Y'All are the realist and we are coming through with the quality in 2021.
