Hey everybody today we're doing some pretty quick and easy half-up half-down hairstyles. Now my daughter, she loves having her hair down, but she also likes to have it up and out of her face. So this first hairstyle is pretty simple part: the hair into two sections and just place a satin band around that top section to put the hair out of the face and allow those curls to flow freely. Now I recommend using satin bands and, as you can see, she is excited about this. Look now our next hairstyle. I actually really like this one. It'S the same idea. You want to part the hair into two sections or going to spray a little water to smooth out the top section, and hair is already freshly detangled and I'm just using a rat tail comb just to smooth out that top section. And what you're going to do is just get an accessory sort of like a clip of your choice and just place it around that top half. I also kind of tied the bottom half down to make it a little easier to get the look that I want, and this clip is really cute. It does have a little adornment attached to it, which I, like you could kind of use it as a little bit of a dress up hairstyle. You can wear it to a special occasion. With these type of Clips, though, I would definitely suggest being very careful once you're trying to put it in it could pull it the hair. They do have some other similar clips that won't pull or tug. It really does depend on your hair texture. So I just wanted to add that in there just in case some textures, especially coarse, thick hair, it can kind of rip it out and we don't want that. But this again we are very, very careful and, as you can see, she is enjoying this hairstyle too. Look at that take a finger. Oh now. This hairstyle is really really simple to do again: hair in two sections and that top section we actually parted into two sections. This is a fun cute and flirty kind of hairstyle that first top section that piece we're going to do a twist, we're actually creating a bantu knot, and definitely you can, I would say, add a little product. It doesn't have to be. Anything too heavy does depend on your hair texture, but for hers we just sprayed with water and just put a little tiny drop of gel on the top section to smooth it out and added just a little bit of oil. As you can see, I'm wrapping it around my fingers just to make sure the end stay moisturized and we're creating that bantu knot. Once we get to the end, I'm going to use a an elastic just to keep it in place. You can also use bobby pins, but I like the elastic because it does hold the hair in place a lot better and voila we're going to just do the same thing to the other side again, creating that bantu knot we're going to wrap it around a few Times we try to get the exact same shape, but you're not going to always get the exact same shape just FYI and as you can see, she really loves this style. Then we just added a couple cute accessories. These little bows to kind of give it a little bit of baba, booey pizzazz, so our next style kind of piggybacks off of those bantu knots. We just unravel them and we're just going to do two simple braids one on either side, and this is just a regular three strand braid. You can also jazz it up. If you have a little bit more time on your hands, you can do an infinity braid. You could even do a fishtail braid, but we're just going to keep it simple, because the idea is to keep things simple. We want quick, easy styles on the go and I'm not going to braid all the way to the end, I'm just going to use an elastic halfway through because she likes to have her curls kind of flowing just going to do the same thing. To the other side, and when we're done we're just going to again put an elastic around just to hold it in place and kind of tie the two together and just add a bow to hide those bands just to give a cleaner, more nicer appearance. And this next style is probably my favorite. I said I like the other one too, but this was probably my favorite. We took a rat tail comb and made a part on either side and all we're doing now is just creating a Dutch braid and, like the previous style, we're not going to braid all the way down we're going to do it about 1/2 way and it's the Same general idea I like to braid the hair when it's a little damp, it doesn't have to be soaking wet, but I just find that you get better grip that way. So if you have a spray bottle with just a little bit of water, you'll find that you won't even really need product. You can also add a little pomade or a little light gel to again allow the braid to stay in place, and so here's our we're going to add the elastic and similar to the other style. We'Re just going to use a bow or you can use any accessory, you want and just cover it up, and it just gives it a really nice overall look and this you can wear to school. You can wear to any occasion, basically we're just going to try again a cover that band up with that bow and there you go nice perfect and, of course, you can add some product to allow those curls to pop. As you can see, she loves it. Alright guys, thanks for watching, don't forget to subscribe, you
