It'S giving healthy scalp and i'm giving pro tips to create these flat twists. Clean parts are non-negotiable. To stay organized i section away any hair that is not being twisted. I use just behind my ears as a guide, and i use my comb to measure how wide this calculated tip will ensure even partings and for a smooth twist. You want to brush the hair in one way and then twist the hair close to the scalp, the opposite way to tuck in all the hairs. Keeping your fingers close to your scalp will make it tighter and neater. Think of it like a tuck and roll motion. Secure with a mini elastic - and you are sure to look fantastic - remember - to apply sunscreen to your scalp and for more follow means by now.

L Bloodkith: I used to do those twists but with little sparkly butterfly clips back in high school. It was before I understood my wavy/curly hair, but it still looked super cute! <3

Ugly donut~: Listen, I love Manes by Mell and her channel overall. She's helped me with my hair journey and my hair has gotten SO much better with her styling tips. But I see nobody talking about the fact that twists are only available to the Black Community, and they certainly shouldn't be used by White women because they have a deeper meaning than just "hair" and there's a lot of history and information to the twists (and Black hairstyles in general). That's not to say you can't have curly hair and be White, or can't use Black hair products while being White, but you definitely can't use Black hairstyles and act like they're for everyone to use. Additionally, I've also noticed Mell call straightening hair a "silk press" when it wasn't even done on Afro hair, interesting...
