Hey guys it's the set here and I wear french maids in my hair, like this all the time, so I'm going to teach you guys how I do French braids. I know some tutorials can be kind of confusing I'm starting off by sectioning off a piece of my hair and I'm taking just like this chunk in the front of my face and just tying up the rest to get it out of the way. So this is what I'm left with and I'm starting with just a smaller section within that section and all braids three strands. So I'm splitting this into three strands, so I call them stitches and right now, I'm just making one stitch. I bring the hair that is closest to my face. I bring it into the middle, I take the one on the outside and bring it into the middle. Now this piece just like comes out. You want to leave that piece out, grab some hair and then again put it into the middle and then another piece of hair comes out. You grab some hair and you bring it into the middle. It'S a lot easier when you're watching someone do something. So, that's why I'm not speeding up this video, because I want you guys to see what I'm doing I just grab hair, I put it into the middle and then a hair, a piece of the strand just pops out, so I then grab more hair beneath it. Put it into the middle and hair pops out again, and you just repeat this all the way until you get down. Typically, I wear this hairstyle with it just tucked back with my hair in a bun and now we're going to attempt to tackle the monster of French braiding. This thick curly head one thick French braid, so I'm starting off with damp curly hair, and this is very important that your hair is damp because if your hair is dry, it'll, just look really frizzy and it's really hard to get through right. Now I'm just sectioning off my hair from ear to ear like I'm doing and up and some down, hairstyle and right now would be the time to smooth down this front area with some gel or with like a hard bristle brush. I just use this brush that I have and I'm just smoothing my edges down again. I have my basic three pieces. I take the right piece and I put it into the middle and I take my left piece and I put it straight into the middle, and this is my first stitch and, as you can see, just this piece falls out with it. So I smooth it down with my fingers and I grab it, bring it into the middle also, and then I just repeat the same: on the other side, the hair falls down. I grab it with my hands, smooth it down and I put it into the middle. Just to have another piece on the other side fall out as well. I would recommend not looking in a mirror when you're doing your hair in a French braid. The first time that I learned to do my full head. It'S when I had straightened hair and I didn't look in the mirror I turned around just like I'm doing this video. I wasn't looking at anything and it was a lot easier for me to understand. I wasn't staring and I wasn't freaking out and I just tried to feel with my hands what I was doing and it made everything a lot more clear, Kerli, French birds are never going to be perfect because curly hair is just so crazy. You can never get it to behave, so don't be upset if your french braid is not completely perfect, and straight I mean, as you can see, mine has a few lumps in it and that's completely. Ok and it just works with, like the boho kind of lazy feel, which is actually really cute. In my opinion - and this is the final French braid and there's a few bumps at the top. So I'm just going to take a few bobby pins and just kind of pin it up and try to fix it up. But you know what it's not perfect and that's okay. You can always spice up your french braids with some headbands, which are super cute, and this is the final look guys. I hope this helped and I hope you guys learn something and if you want you can follow me on Instagram it's at Lacetti and if you liked this video then make sure to thumb me and I'll see you guys next time right.

Kayley Farwell: You should honestly have a lot more viewers, your literally like the only girl on YouTube I have found that embraces their curls and trys to teach other girls to embrace them and I love you for that!

Jillian A: Honestly, I have been trying to learn how to french braid for months. It was really hard because in all of the tutorials I watched the modelers hands were in the way or they were going to fast. But now i can actually see the technique clearly and slowly and its really easy for me. Thank you so much for making this awesome tutorial!!!!! :) :) :)

Lauren Carlton: Wow, wet hair is definitely the way to go! All other tutorials are relatively straight, slippery hair and every time I tried my hair kept getting tangled and sticking to itself...trying it wet made it actually manageable and though it isn't perfect I was actually able to finish the whole braid. Thanks for the tutorial!

Dianne Warner: you mentioned in some of your other videos that you had been relaxed, well i am 16 and just now discovering my curls (as dumb as that may sound). I've been relaxed since i was about 6 or 7 and I got one every few months and so never had to deal with my curls. well recently, a friend of mine was playing in my hair (while it was straight) and commented on my curly roots. ever since ive been kind of diving into my natural hair and trying to grow all the curls out and i was just wondering if maybe you'd do a transitioning video. its been so hard and i'm constantly urged to relax it because the two textures are soo different and i dont have much support and my mom is constantly asking when she can slap a relaxer back in my head. please respond back im seriously desperate at this point i have soooo many questions and no answers.
