5 Easy Hairstyles For Short Hair

I mean you got some kind of like faux lux little thing going on. You know it's kind of like old, travis scott. What'S up guys in today's video, i'm going to show you five different hairstyles, you can do with short hair. My hair is curly. I have about a 3c hair type, so my hair has a natural curl to it, which is actually one of my hairstyles. But i'm going to kind of reinforce my curls and do that as one of the hairstyles not going to be the first one. I'M going to start the first one off with something really cool, i'm going to be having candace help me as well today, because i don't personally know how to braid my hair first hairstyle. Is this one right here now guys i did do this hairstyle on another video with me doing the afro, but i definitely wanted to include it in my arsenal of five hairstyles. You can do with shorter hair and some of these hairstyles that i'm gon na be showing you in today's video. You don't need a 3c hair type, it's kind of just like a preference. The reason i said that is because that's my hair type now, obviously you can't really get an afro with straight hair, but this is the first hairstyle that i'm going to be doing now. It does look kind of weird because i do have a high top fade around, which i needed to touch up on later, on which i'll probably make a video on, because i'm doing a special haircut that i'm really looking forward to so stay tuned. For that, let's go ahead and get started guys. I have my really long pick right here. I don't, like short picks. I never did and if you do have an afro and you want to pick out your hair. I recommend you to get a long pick. I'M going to leave a link to this down below it's just so much easier because you can reach the entirety of your head versus with the small picture. You can only reach a little bit. Well, we'll just take it from here. We'Re literally just going to take a step for step, and the reason i am doing the afro first is because all the other hair styles i'm gon na - need to wet the hair and the afro really want it set right if the hair was wet. So that's why i'm doing this one first, i think my hair is actually getting bigger than the first time i picked my hair out for the length check video. If you have an afro - and you pick it out, it's nice to pack it down into like a nice shape, whatever shape you want to have it any of you guys do know if you grew up with an afro, your dad taught you how to pick out Your afro, it's essential. If you didn't teach you, i'm sorry for you, but my dad taught me how to pick out my afro and he taught me how to pack it down for all those people who do have afros. You know the struggle of going to school and everyone's saying i want to touch your hair, but low-key. It does feel really good when people pat your hair, it feels really good, but it's just so annoying when people come up and say, can i touch your hair? You literally just pack it in position. I was actually going to dye my hair, all brown again like a dark brown, but i'm okay with this color. For now. For the time being, this is the official q-tip from here. It kind of looks like i actually have a full afro, but obviously, when you get to the back, all this is like doesn't look like it doesn't look right, but you guys hairstyle number one. I'M gon na see if i can pat this into a flat top. I do have an idea of actually cutting a flat top and i really want to try and see if i can do it on myself. I'Ve always wanted a flat top, but i don't know i was a little younger, but it didn't look super sharp. So i'm gon na see if i can create myself a sharp high top fade and i'm talking like flat top, not not just a high top fade but a flat top. But i'm going to see if i can just pat this in, i feel like i'm just going to let that one go. But i do really want to cut my hair into a flat top, because i think it's gon na be really cool and very nostalgic. But you guys move on to hairstyle number two now guys this hairstyle is gon na, consist of locking gel i'm gon na be doing comb coils or finger coils with my hair. It'S gon na be interesting to see what it looks like on this length of hair, and i am interested to see how long this actually takes me to do with a shorter hair. But one thing i'm gon na have to do is i'm gon na have to wet my hair, make sure it's super saturated with water and then go in with the locking gel? Obviously, i'm not like doing actual starter locks. This is just a hairstyle. You can wear with basically little comb, coils or twists. I am going to go through the hair one more time with the pick just so that it's detangled and so that the water is evenly distributed throughout the hair, because there is still some dry spots as long as you go all the way through. It'S good all. Right guys now i'm going to open this up and i'm not going to do the sections perfectly. I just want to make it look good. Look at this. Oh, he had a skill, look pretty cool, and this is just a quick way to get this effect versus using an actual comb. This comb will take a while, literally all i'm doing is twisting my hair making sure that there's not any knots in the hair that hair isn't kind of clumped up. You want it to kind of elongate and then shrink up. You also want to make sure that the hair is all kind of separated at the best of its ability. You don't want too much hair or too little of hair in each one, but in this case little is better than more once you feel that it's tight enough. You can just release it and i'm evenly distributing the product, i'm not picking up product on every twist. It distributes itself because it holds onto my finger as i squeeze it out of each twist. You don't want to overload on products all the time, but i would say for this hairstyle you want to work up versus down so start with the lowest hair first and then step your way up and as you're twisting. If you feel that there's too much hair or hair from the wrong side in just pull it out and then keep going, the cool thing is once you've got this section already established. You can go back in kind of touch up on it. So, okay, guys i'm finishing up with this hairstyle, i should have like maybe two more to go and it doesn't take too long all right guys last one i'm almost positive. These are like shake proof, and what i mean by that is like you can shake these, and they should be all right and you can even like kind of run your hands through it, and they should still be fine and you would kind of want them to Dry, just a little bit, i mean you got some kind of like faux luxe little thing going on. I would like candace's help because two of them are braiding hairstyles and the other one is a little more simple, but i am going to have candace's help on two of these. So let's go all right guys. How cool these look see. I'M telling you you can shake these they're, not even like completely dry but like. If i shake them, they stay in so for anybody out there who has my hair type or something similar you can even put these in and then they can eventually turn into dreadlocks. For everyone who wants to get dreadlocks and doesn't have them yet, but obviously i'm just doing them for a hairstyle. You can do this for a hairstyle and you can keep it in for quite some time and not even worry about them. Locking up you can keep them in for a month and obviously you just have to maintain them with sleeping and probably wearing like a do-rag or some sort of cap at night, but i'm just going to run through this next hairstyle pretty quickly. It'S really easy, literally just rocking curly hair, so i'm actually going to take these out right now, as i'm talking and like all, you have to do to really get these out is just run your fingers through it, because all they are is really just you're. Switching! Your curl pattern a little bit into more of a direct way, and this is a way to actually make your hair more curly as well, but i would actually want to go in and kind of you know untwist these manually, but at the same time you can Still just pull it out and get a curly hairstyle one thing that i always do to kind of elongate. My curls is, i always shake my hair, so i go like this and it elongates my curls a little bit. The biggest thing is just making sure that the tips are curly, because, if they're not, then it looks like your hair is just like really frizzy. One thing i have been doing lately is like just running my hands through like this back and forth, and it kind of just creates a little bit of volume, but it is a little better when your hair is not as damp as mine is right here and If you were to do the comb coils and then pull your hair out, you could leave some in and it just kind of creates a cool texture look, but this next hairstyle is going to be pretty cool because i'm going to be braiding, my hair, i'm not Sure, if it's actually going to work, because i'm not sure how long your hair has to be, but i think my hair should be long enough, i'm going to try to do a double braid and then see if it works out. My wife is going to be helping me all right, guys, canis just finished up uh-oh, actually surprised we were able to do two braids. Obviously, my hair is like overgrown and kind of awkward because i'm growing it up for a reason, but as far as the braids go pretty smooth but guys i am going to go into the fifth and final hairstyle. This is gon na, be the best one. So stay tuned all right guys, another hairstyle, just some box braids! You know you didn't do a whole bunch which i'm cool with, but it's another short hair hairstyle you can rock. What do you guys think all these hairstyles only took about 10-15 minutes to actually accomplish? Obviously i had kenneth help me on the last two because i i could have done the box braids myself, but i don't know how to actually cornrow my own hair. So that's why i called her, and i was like while you're here just do the box trades for me, but i'm telling you guys you can learn how to do these things, but if not just find people that know how to do them. That are close to you. You don't have to pay money for this. A lot of the time you can. Actually, you know if you have a sister, if you have a mom or a dad like a lot of times, people know you just got to ask, because when i was younger i didn't know my mom knew how to braid. Until i asked her and then she was able to braid my hair sometimes, but i got a little bit of shake still. My hair is not super short, but it's about, i would say, maybe four inches, which was a length that i originally wanted. When i first cut my hair before, i actually started my first set of dreadlocks, but they cut my hair extremely short and had to eventually grow it out, and obviously i cut my hair recently. I am looking forward to actually cutting my hair even further, but in the next video 100 i believe i'm going to be giving myself a high top fade. It'S going to be a flat top like high top fade flat. Top is straight up kid and play like you know, fresh prince of bel air kind of style, but stay tuned for that video. I'M excited to do it because i feel like i can master it myself versus going to someone and having them do it. I know a lot of people can do a great job with cutting my hair, but i want to do it myself, so i can get better at cutting my own hair, so stay tuned. For that video.
