Braid And Curl Install On Natural Hair

Braid and Curl Install on Natural Hair

#NaturalHair #BraidandCurl

I finally did a braid and curl and I am in LOVE! Let me know if you are planning to try this style. I will say it was definitely easy to achieve this install. I find this style much easier than a perm rod set alone PLUS you get additional stretch by braiding first.

Hey y'all and welcome back for another video. This was my very very first time doing a braid and curl. So i split the video in two parts. This is the first part the install make sure you check out the second part for the takedown. I hope you all enjoy. Let me know if you have any questions below and i will see y'all in the comments. I did shampoo and condition my hair off camera, so we're gon na go ahead and get started, but first, if you are new, welcome and if you are returning - hey bro, hey sis i hope y'all are doing well today, i'm going to be using the royal forsage Products so i have their oats and protein hair mask the hydrating, curly jelly and also the pina and cocoa styling cream, and then, in addition to that, i do have their detangling brush, which almost gives me tangle, teaser vibes, but we'll see how much i like it Once we get started so like i said, i'm starting on freshly washed hair, so let's go ahead and take this down and the first thing we're going to do is go in with the oats and protein mask. So let's see it has organic aloe juice. Peppermint leaf extract yucca, leaf extract horsetail, leaf extract nettle melissa, both of those are leaf, extracts soybean oil, red palm oil, organic pumpkin seed oil, shea butter and, let's see vitamin b5 hydrolyzed keratin pumpkin extract citric acid cinnamon bark powder, ginger root powder, nutmeg powder, allspice powder And fragrance, our first impression is not a very, very strong scent. It'S almost like a baby lotion like it smells like baby powder a little. So it's like that fresh light scent as far as texture, it's not thick at all. It'S like a, i would say it is it's creamy, but it's not od thick to the point where you can't even move it like. If i were to tilt it over here, i'm nervous, okay, so none of it is coming out. I think that shea butter is what's getting it like keeping it in, but it's not. You can tell it's not like. Let me see if y'all can see it moves. Okay, so it does have i'm hoping that means that i'll have some slip too, but we'll see we will see all right. So i'm going to go ahead and start on the front section and go ahead and work the product through and then i'm going to use the detangling brush to detangle the product. It says for external use, apply to sections of wet hair. Detangle leave on for 10 to 15 minutes, sit under the hair, dryer and rinse thoroughly, and it's recommended for once a month. So this will be considered a protein treatment and, like i mentioned before, i usually do a protein treatment once a month, because my hair does not need protein any more often than that. So i've heard that a little goes a long way. So i'm not going to be too od and heavy-handed. I always start from the bottom when we detangle and work our way up. Okay, it definitely has slip. Oh, what do y'all see that curl? I think it's black so yeah. I probably can't yes, yes get into it: okay, wow, my hair is loving it so far, it's the slip for me, it is the slip for me wow, i think the brush with that detangler i mean detangler. Lord, that's. How much slip is giving me with this mask is the perfect duo. The brush with the hair mask is definitely giving so i'm going to go ahead and twist this section up and keep on working. My way through this is how much shading i have not much at all, really not much at all from the brush and it's actually a good grip on the brush. I know some detangling brushes. If there's so much slip, it will literally slide out of my hands. Um, when i go to do my roots, you'll see i like to grab the brush from the top, sometimes like here and just get my scalp real good, but i don't have to do that. I can do it from the end and the brush is still a nice grip, so this side is done all right, that's it. So this is all finished product is in so i'm going to leave it in for 10 to 15 minutes. I am going to go ahead and add some heat, so this is how much i've used. I don't feel like. I see that so it's still a good amount, definitely still like an amount here. I could probably get three or four more uses out of this, so i love that i will definitely and then i'm using it once a month. So really that's what for all right, not no easy math and i'm talking about so that's what one time a month for four tries. Is that four months? Is that correct? So good? I mean that's, really good. That'S mom! So four months, i'm gon na go ahead and seal her up and i'm gon na put on a plastic shower cap and sit under the dryer for about 10 to 15 minutes, and then i'm going to rinse it out and come back. Let me know if y'all could do that dance, i'm still struggling y'all still struggling. Yes, it's always a pop, hey baby, all right girl, let's go ahead and take this off because it's been 10 minutes: okay, hey y'all! So i'm back, i did rinse my hair mask out, and this is what she's looking like. First before we get started with the braid and curl, i am going to go in with the pina and coco styling cream. So it's organic coconut oil plus shea butter for extra moisture provides moisture while adding shine for the perfect hair day, so section hair and applies to slightly damp. I love that because my hair is definitely slightly damp. Do not rinse perfect for wash and go twist outs and braids, so the shea butter it says, adds moisture and shine to your hair while reducing frizz, organic coconut oil repairs, damaged hair by protecting hair from breakage and then the cala harry seed oil contains high levels Of fatty extracts nourish your crown, let your hair down making sure that product is distributed evenly throughout my hair. Oh, do y'all see the little ringlets. Oh my gosh, wow, okay, okay, okay, oh oh, my gosh wow! Just look at it! Just look at it! So now y'all, i hope, y'all see how important it is to brush your product through, because, had i not done this, it would have still been giving this. So you see this is like without any product, but then once i add the product and brush it, it does this. Oh, i love it also. I was low-key tempted to just stop here swoop in that jelly and keep on watching. Go because do y'all see these. Oh, do y'all see it do y'all see it like. Let me just sit here so that y'all can get into it. I am in love all right, so, let's let's go ahead and move on so next up we will go ahead and start braiding and putting on our perm rods at the end, and then we will be on our way to finishing this dial up. So, let's get into the next step, what i've noticed with braid outs is: if you don't set the tone from the beginning, you might run into additional frizz or you might lose some definition. So this part on the side here and i have a little bit of the gel or curling jelly in my hand, but i'm just going to show you all that part. So i'm going for a side part all right, so the hydrating curly jelly is an anti-frizz flake free stronghold gel without the crunch, perfect for all hair types, love that apply the wet hair to accentuate curls as a curl definer provides moisture and shine as well as Whole great for styling wash and go's braids and twist outs, manuka honey seals, the moisture into your hair. The soybean oil has moisture retention, oil filled with fatty acids and vitamins and then fig extract promotes healthy hair with its vitamin c e and magnesium. So the nourish your curl excuse me nourish your crown. Let your hair down, i feel like it's the not slogan but like the the phrase of the brand. Maybe that is logan girl. I don't know, but i love that so i'm gon na take a little bit of this and apply it to my hands start with this top section here that i've already separated out brush my product in oh, hopefully that means it's gon na have a good hold. It'S a little stiff, but let's see so as i braid i do want to make sure i'm brushing it down to make sure that it's nice and smooth all right. So i got down to about this much left and i'm going to grab my roller and go ahead and start from the bottom and work my way up and that's it. So that's the first one, and so it's really just braiding, as you normally would and at that midway point go ahead and add your perm rod roller. So now my roots from here to here should be stretched. So let's keep going so this one. You can see! It'S kind of bending - i don't know if y'all can see that the curl right there, so i'm gon na go back in and brush this down, just to make sure just remember the smoother that you lay it here in this process, the better your results will be So keep that in mind as you go through all right, so those two are done and i'm going to repeat that process throughout my whole head finish all right so now for our favorite part y'all in quotations, because we already know we hate the dry time. I'M going to go ahead and sit out of the dryer slash air dry. I don't have anything else to do today, so i might be back tomorrow to take these down but stay tuned. If you are enjoying this video so far make sure you give it a thumbs up also make sure you subscribe. If you are not already - and i will see you all for the takedown
