Hi there and welcome to my first ever video on YouTube. I'M not scared at all on this channel we'll be doing some hairstyles we'll be doing some makeup, we'll be doing some historical reenactments. No, I'm not sure so. For today's video we'll be doing a Regency inspired hairstyle, which is this one you're seeing right now, I'm seeing a Regency inspired because it's not historically accurate and it all don't use any accurate historical techniques to obtain this style. I use my natural curly hair, so I didn't have to do any pre, curling preheating, whatever oven, baking, think that is happening, I'm just using my curly hair. If you also have curly hair hey this video is great for you as curly gals. Don'T have a lot of historically inspired videos on YouTube so guys, that's basically it and without any further ado, let's mix magic. So here we are we're ready to go. We have our hair down and loose. I am currently on date, two hair. You can definitely use this on day three or day. Four hair is it's a great way to cover up some bad hair days. Now I'm going to be starting off by sectioning my hair very loosely and going around the back of my head, making sure it's super loose, because we'll need that later for the rest of the style. Now, take your hair elastic, make little bun and make sure to take some off the hair at the back of your head next I'll be dividing my hair into two sections just like so then take one section very loosely: grab it and twist away from the face. You'Re going to want to move it upward while twisting away, because we want this volume and pouf that we're looking for so next I'm kind of positioning and on my head, seeing where I would like it to fit that I'm taking my little button and moving it Upwards. This is why it's very important that it's a loose bun, so we have this space to move it around. Next, I'm taking a bobby pin and just quickly securing that twist in place. Next to my bun now take the second section and also twist it away from your face while moving it upwards. Sometimes it won't work and you have to redo it for a bit. That'S alright make sure you get that volume move it on top of the other. Twist, take a bobby, pin and also secure that in place make sure to do this quite loosely, so you still have some room to move it around. So here I am taking a bobby pin and just moving my bun up making sure to secure it in place on the top of my head. I'M using this technique where I first place the flat site towards my scalp, then I twist it and then have the rigid side of the bobby pin facing towards my scalp. This way we'll have more grip on the head next you're, going to take the down side of the bun and grab all of the ends and tuck them under. So we can create this actual bun shape now same thing. Take a bobby, pin and secure it in place using that twist down, we just kind of want to make sure that it's in place, so I'm taking a bobby pin to secure the middle now we're almost there next we're going to do the front of this. Look. I'M kind of looking for some volume in the front, not too much so I'm taking the side of my hair and pushing it a bit forward while twisting it then secured it in place with a bobby pin same thing goes for the other side, I'm taking the Side of my hair twisting it a bit puffing it a bit forward and then securing it with a bobby pin now it's time to make sure that the whole bun is secured. So I'm taking some bobby pins and pinning it around all of the edges, making sure that everything stays well in place. I'M also kind of reshaping it a bit to look at the way that I wanted to and then tucking away any flyaways when you have curly hair the hair likes to have a life of his own. As you can see, this little curl here had some other plans, so we had to just tuck him away. You want to shape the bun. However, you like I like it quite high. If you like a more lower style, you can definitely do that. Next, I'm just taking a quick revision on the front of my hair by running my fingers through the front to sort of put away any baby hairs that are sticking out and twisting it a bit more to get that poof that I'm looking for and last, but Not least, I like to just give it a little detail and making some curls at the side of my face. I just take some out and twist them for me they twist away from my face. This could be different for anybody. Some curl patterns like to go all sorts of ways so make sure to check which ways your curls are going. I don't use any products here, since it wasn't necessary. As you can see, I wasn't quite happy with the length of the other one, so I went back and just rechecked for a bit once you're happy with it, leaving there I'm adding a little extra detail by taking a curl from the back of my hat and Leaving it out twisting it a bit and then moving it into the way that I like, and then there you have it our Regency inspired hairstyle you're ready to grab a book, pour yourself a cup of tea and leave your true Regency fantasy lives. You can't wear this out to work to school while walking your dog while visiting your grandma, who knows anything's possible, but whether you're, a historical lover like me or, if you're, just a curly girl looking to do something different with her hair, just add a little magic To your life, with the hairstyles that you make hey guys, so I hope you like this video. I hope you got inspired. I hope you had a great time making this style or you know, having your own little go at making some other things yeah.
