Hello, remember these: it's a blast from the past 90s hair is back baby and the clock clip is trending like i have never seen the claw clip trend before i am an 86 baby and the 90s is totally my vibe. It was a stage in my life where i discovered the joy of doing my own hair, and i became completely and totally obsessed with doing my own hair butterfly clips claw clips little elastics hair jewels. I freaking loved it all now. What some of you don't know about me is that i actually have really textured hair surprise. I am making a video about how i diffuse and style my natural texture next week. So if you're curious go ahead and hit that subscribe button and the bell notification, so that you are the first person to know when it is online today, i'm going to show you clock, clip ideas on textured hair and on straight hair, so that we can compare How very different it looks and so that people with more hair textures can also be a part of this conversation. Let'S go claw clips come in several shapes, colors and sizes. If you didn't know these ones i purchased at walmart and these ones i purchased on amazon. As always, i will leave purchase links in the description box below in case you're interested in buying them. In this first look, i am just going to bring the top of my hair back, leaving the hair around my ears softly down, and i'm going to pull out some curls at the front for framing and clip the back with a teeny, tiny clock clip. This is the exact same look on straight hair when my hair is this texture. I like pinching out the crown for volume and leaving some face framing out. I get asked a lot of questions about my haircut. I have a blunt long bob with no layers and some curtain bangs that have grown out. So i basically have a jawline face framing layer at the front that i often leave out in hairstyles for softness. But i have no layers in the back or on the sides. Now, if you don't like having hair around your face, you can always tuck it back when you are doing this, look or any other look for that matter. Do we like this better straight or curly? Leave me a comment because it's so fun for me to read your input and your opinions. This next look is very similar, but instead of having the ends facing down, we are going to twist the hair and face them up so that we have the ends showing up at the front. Now i'm getting real 90s on you guys this look. This look was everything. This look was everything i'm going to show you how this looks on straight hair on straight hair, you get this little floppy, waterfall effect and on curly hair. It kind of sticks up more and creates an illusion of more volume at the top of the head. You are going to notice in all of my videos really that i play around a lot with my hair part, and that is because the way that you part, your hair will completely change your hair style and the way that your face looks. I did an entire video on that, so, if you're interested, i will leave a link to that video in the pinned comment. I highly recommend watching that video. If you are playing a lot with your hair, because knowing how to change your part, will really give you so much more style, flexibility, and so many different looks than if you always leave your part in its natural position. What do you guys think for this look? Do you like it straight or curly for look number three, i'm going to show you a small alteration to look to what you're going to do here is the exact same steps as the previous one, but instead of leaving the ends out you're going to twist and Tuck the ends in as you can see, i shifted my part over, so that i get more volume and more swoop right at the front of my face. Here is the straight version straight or curly for look number three. I'M counting your comments. You guys they make my day before we move on to some styles that are all up. I want to show you one last one that isn't as obvious. You can get these tiny claw clips and you can use them if you just want to softly get a bit of hair off your face, but you still want the hair to look predominantly down. This is a really good look if it's like a first wash day and your hair looks great and you blew it out and you don't want to ruin it, but you just want to take some of the hair away from your face like say, you're really busy And you don't want the hair in your face, but you don't want to put your hair up because you don't want to ruin your blow out anyone. Can anyone relate to that? Can anyone relate to that? Or is it just me all you're going to do here is take some hair from the sides twist it softly and clip it back. How adorable is this style? I actually surprised myself as to how much i actually love this look and, of course the exact same style can be done on straight hair. Let'S move on to some updos with the clock lip: let's switch it up, so that straight hair is featured first, because i'm a mom - and i know we got to keep it fair for this look i kind of want a vintage vibe, so i'm going to middle Part and end the middle part at the crown and brush the crown back. What i do here is i put my hair into a ponytail in my hands and then i twist it up and insert my claw clip, leaving the ends out and then pulling out the face frame. I pinch out texture at the crown again for height. I almost always pinch out texture when i'm doing any kind of updo on straight hair. Look at how cute and voluminous this looks without even back combing at all, and here is the adorable curly version of this look for look number five. Are we feeling the curly? Are we feeling the straight? You can do the exact same, look by tucking the ends into the clip, so they don't stick out and you can completely change the vibe of the style by changing your part. As you can see, this looks completely different, even though it's essentially the same just because my part moved from the middle to the side and because i tuck the ends in instead of leaving them out, and here it is curly. This next look is handy. If you want to throw your hair in a ponytail, but you also want to take it out in a few hours without indenting it for this particular look, i love having a heavier face frame out straight or curly. This is so cute and also just really convenient, ridiculously easy to do and, of course, damage free. Thank you guys for watching. If you like, this, video, then give me a thumbs up so that i know to make more of them for you i'll catch you guys in the next one bye,

Gretchen Mosetter: I've recently discovered my hair's natural wave/curl, so I'm so excited to see your natural hair routine! I also love both styles with the claw clips, but curly definitely enhances my volume!! Being a very fine and thinner hair girl, I rocked the butterfly clips back in the day!!

ttashicatt: I love the Curly Looks. I'm so loving that hair clips are back. I usually wear my hair clips at home behind closed doors but now I don't have to hide. Love it!! Question: I do have thin straight hair, the length is like yours but I'm thinking of getting a loose perm would it be okay for my hair?

Tomar Crauswell: Your curly hair is absolutely perfect! I would love to see more curly hair tutorials.

Rosann Sabzali: I absolutely love the textured version of all..... I have a similar hair texture as yours but I find after the first day of washing it gets really dry ever since I was a child. Both versions look absolutely gorgeous but I really do prefer the textured version..... thanks for your contribution, I always come to your channel when I'm relaxing... I learn a lot from you.❤

Debbie Anderson: Love the curls! My hair is wavy and easily straightened. Up dos are so fun for summer.

Judy Mastrullo: Great video this is a keeper for hair style ideas. It's hard to pick one. I love them both. I have naturally hair too, but mostly wear my hair straightened. I guess I'd go with straight. I only wish my waves looked more like yours. Keep these coming and Thanks!

L D: Love the curly look. I have naturally curly hair and it took me a very long time to accept that (I was a 70's girl and the look was straight and parted in the middle). I was always fighting with it trying to make it straight which it just did not want to do. So any curly hair dos are a welcome sight for me.

LG: I definitely love the curly dos! I have naturally curly/wavy hair and these styles are easy to do with medium hair length.

Kailey Sporbeck: LOVE this video! Claw clips have always been my favorite things so I'm happy they're "back in style". It's funny because I have curly hair but always straighten it.... however for every option I thought it looked better curly... hmm maybe I need to make a change

Music Lover: Love both…nice to have options depending on occasion or mood! I have medium to dense fine hair that is multi-textural.…part curly, part wavy, part straight in different areas on my head plus a couple of pronounced cowlicks. Whaaa! When I let it air dry my hair starts out curly, but goes limp even with product. Especially in warm weather. I generally will blow it out “straight” and like that best. Within short order it will take on some bend, but zero uniformity. I have learned to embrace it but it is hard to control pulling it back and I have a flat head so the curls help disguise that…when they stay. My stylist will spend a long time blowing it out and it looks so sleek. But I don’t have the skill or patience. I need her to come live with me! Lol.

Cheryl Brewer: Thank you so much. Love this video. I love both the straight & curly look on you but my hair is dead straight , fine & thin so I struggle with any style really. I like to use the claw clips but I get areas where I look bald . Love your videos

Paula O: I like to wear my hair both curly and straight too. Depends on how much time I have! Right now I'm really loving the natural curly texture of your hair with the clips!

Randie Cassuto: Hi Gabi! I love the straight look!!

TheJessy8888: loved all of them, either straight or curly, to each its charm... on a side note, I liked your manicure

Beth Albaugh: Gabi, you look so good with either straight or curly hair, however, those of us with straight hair would kill for those curls.

Rutuja Dicholkar: I've got curls and I cut them too short.. so I've been trying out new hairstyles, thank you for this video ❤️

Nazat Sakellaropoulou: I like all the hairstyles you showed on straight hair! by the way i lived in the 90's, i was a teenager and it was a beautiful era in all senses Much of love from Greece ❤️

Luke Roberts: As shown on 0:28-5:39. And also 0:00-6:44 are all my favorite claw clip hairstyle ‍♂️ tutorial gabi I will add you to my claw clip hairstyle ‍♂️ claw clip book look of the day or evening wherever you are in the world .

Vanessa Malik: Great video Gabi! Are different sizes of claw clips better for certain styles or hair types? I have fine hair, but lots of it, so it's hard to find clips that will hold well all day. It usually only works when my hair is wet, fresh from the shower. Any advice on getting claw clips to stay is appreciated.

Rachel Uomini: Absolutely LOVE your curls!!

Danette Mannion: I love my curls, I love curls more on others. Thank goodness for them giant clips, this girl has ALOT of hair. But I’m looking more at your highlights, gorgeous!

Joanne Mcneil: Love Love this look love the claw clips love your channel awesome ❤️❤️❤️ I love the butterfly clips to !i like both curly and straight ❤️

Danna Higgins: oops I never stopped using the claw clip im so lazy - love this video

Anna Bardon: I like all of the looks on you. My hair is like yours. Thanks for another great video.

A Cottage Girl: I’m old enough to be your mama But I sure love your tips! I adore claw clips, but my thick, straight, fine textured hair won’t hold them. I’ve tried several types, and unless I use a crap ton of texture product and curl my hair, they slip out. So claw clips are reserved for ‘fancy’ days

Erin Sanders: How do you go from so curly to soooo sleek with your straight hair?!? Mine is straight with a recent discovery of loose waves when air dried. I can’t choose between your curly and straight style! Don’t make me choose! Love your vids so much!

Luke Roberts: Thank you ☺️ for your claw clip hairstyle ‍♂️ tutorial.

Luke Roberts: And you’re my claw clip hairstyle ‍♂️ for the summer.

Heidi Rosin: I LOVE your curls!

Mary D'Arcangelo: Great video. I’m a straight haired girl so I like all the straight styles.

Styles By Summer: Curly! Love all the texture!

Turra Gorman: Love this video. I am in on claw clip. I love both curly and straight look but if I had to select one-straight wins.

Lisa: You have such beautiful curls!

SANDRA ABRAHAMS: You are so beautiful. Both straight and curly suits you. My favorite is the curly.

Teena Covert: Love it curly!

AC Haley: I like both curly and straight! ⭐️⭐️⭐️❤️

Debbie Desmarais: Great video! I like the straight ones.

Lupe Luis: You look great in both curly and straight but can look hard in the smooth styles because your makeup is very strong, so I think the curly tones that abit.

Diana Diaz de Leon: Straight Yes more videos like this.

Cathy Samdal: Love the curly!

Janith Mathews: I LIKE THE CURLY VERSION BEST BUT BOTH ARE VERY ATTRACTIVE.

Marni Dillon: Claw clips are back? I never stopped using them

ShanniLovess: I may be biased but I love the straight hair versions

Midlife Maniacal Mayhem: have you ever experienced banana clips? now THAT was a look. 80s teen here.

The Silly Kitchen with Sylvia: I love that claw clips are back!

Andrea: Curly and straight are both gorgeous. I think the outfit would lead to which way you go.

Debbie Accolla: So hard to decide...I like both

Ken Leung: Curly version for your natural curls ?

KellyB: I like curly on all of them!

Lisa Thompson: I like curly for all of them!

Midlife Maniacal Mayhem: due to a shoulder injury, i have been unable to style my hair other than brush and a headband. i'm trying to teach my husband how to put my hair up in a clip and he gets it sometimes. he took cosmetology, but sustained a head injury a couple of months before finishing, so he has trouble remembering much. grrrrr. i wish he could remember how to curl because i like my hair curly. i am 52 and have pretty bad hair loss, though not alopecia. so i have to wear it shorter. your videos are very helpful.

Kelly Andrade: I prefer your hair straight for most of these looks

Rollita: I prefer the curly every time

Cathy Cawood: Curly all the way

Ann Gutgesell: Curly curly curly curly curly!

Marjorie Ginn: Curly xxx from southern UK xxx

Marisol Gonzales: Curl always

Leo LionJuly: Curly wins
