Hello, i'm christina from hairromance.com and today is a really easy tutorial that was inspired by my last video. So if you don't have a stretchy headband, here's how to do a really cute updo with a scarf for this hairstyle, i'm going to be using quite a long. Rectangular scarf, and i recommend going for one that is a little bit of a lighter fabric. Anything that's too thick or bulky will be a little bit harder to style, so go for something a little bit softer and silky. Now, the first step with any one of my updos is to always work out what you want the front of your hair to look like it's so much easier to pull those layers out now than to try and adjust them once your hairstyle is finished. So for me, i'm going to leave these shorter layers out at the front, so i'll, just work out which ones i want to leave out and which ones are going to go back in the style that one can go back. You can always still adjust it at the end, but if you take any of these layers out now, it is so much easier and if you don't want to leave those that lays out, all you want to do is just move all of your hair back and So you don't have any part at the top here then we're going to take our scarf and place the middle of it around the back of our head. You want to feel for that little bone at the back of your head called the occipital bone and then we're going to place the scarf just loosely there and bring it around to the front, and you want to tie it just around the top of your head. So i'm just doing one little loop and pulling that tight to just about there, but you can see. I haven't pulled it too, tight, because i want this to sit quite low, i'm going to tuck our hair around that to make the style okay. So now that that's in place going leaving these front little sections out, i'm going to start here and just tuck this over the scarf and i'm just saying picking up a section of hair and just wrapping that around and then repeating that on the other side. And you don't have to be too neat with this. I like it just to grab it all up and roll it in together and you want to kind of make a little french, roly, croissant kind of feel and because it's in the scarf it's going to feel quite loose. So at this point, i'm going to tighten this up a little and that's going to help hold that hair in place. So i'm just going to then tuck it a little bit more just so that it's all in there, and that is the style and then to finish it with this length of scarf. What i'm going to do is just twist this knot that around so it's got a cuter scarf knot and i'm just going to bring it around slightly to the side and just tie it at the nape of my neck. So this is a really simple, simple style. Uh, i am just going to go and make any adjustments, but, to be honest, i don't think i really need to make that many adjustments. The great thing with the scarf is that it adds that little extra texture and detail and being tied underneath as well. It'S not going to move if your scarf isn't long enough to do this. You can just tie it at the top, but i would recommend just reach i'm going to grab a couple of bobby pins and you could just pin the scarf just so to make sure it doesn't move, but this isn't going anywhere, it's so comfy and so light. I think i may actually even like it more than the headband version, because it's just a little bit more colorful and a little bit more fun. Now, if you do have any sections, i haven't really looked at the back. Let me just have a look at how the back is sitting now. If you wanted to make this style, feel extra secure or you feel like your hair is slipping out. You can take some bobby pins and add some more support by pinning in the roll here or you can just leave it. The great thing about curly or wavy hair is that it has that extra hold with itself, but with straight hair you definitely might want to add a couple of extra pins or a little hairspray just to make sure it stays in place. Now, if you haven't left any layers out at the front and you're wondering for a different idea of how to style it, you could always leave some layers out at the front and then wrap them back again. Just to give a little bit more detail or you could even wrap them up for kind of a vintage, vibe and tuck them in i'm feeling that kind of, like 50s vibe with this. But i'm just going to leave these loose and leave these little curls out around the front. This is a really simple style. If you don't have a scarf, you might have a piece of fabric that could work. Um. Remember, just something lightweight, i think, is the best and it's going to sit really nice and comfortably and you can coordinate with whatever you're wearing or just go crazy and pick anything to suit your mood. If you follow me at hair romance and have fun with your hair bye only a little bit of lipstick in my teeth - i don't know when that happens, so that'll have to do um. I think i'm gon na wear i'm gon na wash my hair now. How annoying i really like this style, i'm gon na wear this later thanks, you
