Beauties, how are you, ladies? I hope you are all doing well, if you are new here, welcome to my channel. My name is kate moore, so i know it's been a while, since i've been on here, i just really wanted to take time to focus on me. Um, you know i've been kind of on this movement. A personal journey of just really embracing me really loving me. I just wanted to say that i don't don't think i'm ghosting you guys or i'm like just leaving and oh where'd, she go where's. I need a video we're still going to do videos we are still going to do and try new hair products, and things like that. I think it's really fun. How, like i said before i really love trying different products, especially when my hair is short only because i get to wash it out really quick. If i don't like the product, that's so mean if i don't, if my hair doesn't react well to the product. Moving on, ladies, i do have a product today by cantu. You guys, i have to be so real guys know how i love me, a super defined wash and go. I always use a gel, so what i did first was i got the gel by cantu and then i got a curl activator. So i'm like oh yeah. This is gon na work cool same brand. It'S all good! So if you guys haven't seen any of my videos where i would show and test out how you uh mix your products and if you get a smooth consistency like lotion, they blend well, if you get like a cottage cheese, i know that's like a weird example. Sorry, but if you get a cottage cheese type of a consistency, then that's what you don't want to mix together. Those are the products you don't want to mix together. I did not try that with the product, i'm thinking because it was the same brand. It was going to mesh well together, yeah, so i'm definitely going to show that part in the video. That'S why i just kind of switched it to you know what let me just do like a no gel, i'm not going to mix eco style with this product. I'M not going to mix the extreme gel, i'm just going to do you know let let this curl activator do what it does, especially for my ladies who really don't care for gel like that. Okay, ladies, so i did start off with the gel and the cantu um active, curl activator, and you know i'm just applying it in my hair, like normal, you know my normal routine and i mix the two together. I'M not thinking like wait a minute. Why does my? Why does the product feel so thick? What is going on so then i just kept looking at the camera and i'm like every time i glanced over. It'S like what what's going on with these huge chunks, and i looked at my fingers and i was like what this looks like cottage cheese, so you know it i couldn't handle it. I'M like you know. This is not gon na dry good. The next morning i need to get up and rinse it out. So after washing the product out um, i did just start with the curl activator and just applied it just to the back of my head, so no gel just that curl activator. Ladies, my curls were so soft and popping like. I will definitely be using this again. Oh, i did tell you guys that i would let you know how long um, how many days i got out of this. I got. I think it was about two or three days, so i mean if you're it just always depends on your hair type. But for me my curls are like uh. We need some gel. We need some strong hold. So if your hair can't really take gel or you personally don't like the gel, then i would definitely just recommend the curl activator just do a little more coiling around your fingers with the hair and go from there. Just to also add to the purpose of me. Even doing like kind of a finger coil method only i do that only because i don't have a gel and you know anytime, you do like a quick soft coil with your finger, the gel locks that curl in place, but because there's no really strong hold. I just like to really try my best to give as much definition to my curls only because i'm not using any gel, so i just wanted to do something a little different. This time my hair was drying, i think, for about 45 minutes to an hour anytime. I allow my hair to air dry. I like to just either work on my computer put on a movie, kick back and let the dry air drying process start now. I do not put a bonnet on my head. I just lay down with my on my stiff pillow and um. Then i just allow my hair to air dry in the morning. Sometimes my hair is either smashed on one side or the other, but i don't care too much because i know the next morning. I am going to start my fluff and pick out process, so i definitely will be doing a future video on my morning routine and nightly routine to go on more detail about that. But just for the sake of this video i wanted to show you guys. I do love kicking back and relaxing before i go to sleep an hour before, just to let that air drying process start if i'm doing my hair at night. So, okay, okay, so just in case you guys get any like white residue in your hair from any product. Add some oil i thought about i'm so glad i did the oil first, because i thought about just spraying, my hair with like warm water and then um. Seeing what that would do or diffuse it after? So i'm actually happy that all i have to do is add oil, but, ladies i'm not a fan that it turned my hair white. I woke up like what is going on so um, but wow. The white residue is like it vanished. I have a couple little spots right here, but i'm gon na just hit it with oil and then pick it out and then we'll just go from there. I'M so happy that i use the oil first. Maybe if i would have sprayed warm water on my hair, it probably would have reactivated the um the product so be mindful of that. Try something other than water. First, because anytime, you add water to a wash and go or just to re-rehydrate your hair. It'S going to activate the product, that's already on your hair and that's something that i knew before doing this. So i was like. Let me try some oil first because worse come to worst. I could have, of course, diffused my curls, but i'm very happy and it's fluffy. It'S not crunchy at all. Maybe i'll get like a day or two um out of this i'll. Let you guys know. I will definitely let you know. Okay, so i'm gon na continue and just go through the styling process. I'Ll show you guys the ending results. Remember your curls are beautiful, there's no right or wrong way to rock your curls they're beautiful, because you love them. Always remember that, okay, i love you all enjoy the rest. thickyoongles in white denim is my daddy: so glad this came up in my suggestions cause i bought the very same product and i wasnt sure how it would turn out but im glad to hear that it comes through!! its my first time buying natural hair products since we dont have much options here in my country and only recently did the 'natural hair movement' influence local retailers to get so and so products. and thank you for the tip on how to remove the wide residue cause i would have panicked and tried to rub it out with a towel or worse got back into the shower which im glad to know now wouldnt have helped at all lol. was planning to have my wash day today and try the curl activator once i style my hair, will see how the day turns out if i have the energy for that haha. i also didnt get the chance to get a gel and i was a little bummed about that but hearing that i wont need it really reassures me! thank you for this video, again <3

Angela Turner: Your hair always turn out so beautiful! I did my big chop a year and a half ago. I loved being able to just wash and go. My hair has grown completely back. I've always had 2 textures. The nape area is silky & "that good hair" in my opinion. But the top & middle is thick & coily. I'm really considering going back to relaxers or do another big chop. I'm gonna try curl activator. The creams and gels dry so quickly & makes my hair look dry & dull

Thanks for the positive vibes and love. Sending it back. We should lift up and encourage one another and pass on gems. Edit: How do you get the baby hairs to stay in place? When I initially put the edge control on it will hold for a quick minute but it ends up lifting up. Do you need to put gel on and wrap with the paper to set it? I know a lot of Youtubers edit the videos so that process isn't shown. The edges seem to be held in place. I tried another style from one of your videos and mine didn’t turn out well. When I tried to lift the roots for volume some of the hair looked like a puffed Afro and some had a few coils. In one of your other videos the thumbnail picture has so much volume. How is it staying up? I’m disappointed that it didn’t turn out as cute as I thought it would’ve. Some people with natural hair do roller sets and the curls like they have a perm sometimes. I’m thinking I may just go back to perming my hair.♀️

sarlene1982: I haven't tried this product by Cantu yet, but I have recently been using Taliah Waajid's Curly Curl Crean and it lasts nearly a week, no gel needed. I have 4C hair, that is similar to yours. When friz occurs, I just add more water and a little more product and the curls come right back. No white residue. It's amazing, try it!

Tee Will: I am thinking about cutting my locks after 15 years. I’m curious to know how tight your tightest curl pattern is? While traditionally my hair is dense and thick, it’s also very tight with a lot of shrinkage. I recognize there is going to be some trial and error here, but sharing the hair texture is helpful. We black women should not fall for buying all those numerous, layering styling products. All this does is sending our hard-earned money to fatten the bank accounts of hair care industry marketers. Now that you've warned about how to simply get rid of the white residue problem that's so easily solved with applying oil! I intend to try this Cantu curling activator and avoid water as a way to get rid of it, something I'm sure most of us already have. If I sprayed on my high porosity 4c hair, it would shrink down the style to nothing after evaporating. Must we always use this product on newly washed hair? Thank you for the advice and for posting such great videos.

Real Estate Reali-Tea☕️: I bought those products a few weeks ago and loved them. I used them without testing as well. Who thought you would have to they were the same line, but when I tested I got the same results. I love the curl cream, but it didn’t go well with any gel I mixed it with. I’m glad to see you did it without the gel, I didn’t think to do that, but I’m going to try it now. I just used them together, but I def had to wear a bonnet so that my body heat would get rid of the white. It’s also soft even with the gel, but they make great curls. It will flake though the next day if you don’t moisturize your hair.
