Easy Summer Festival Hairstyles For Curly Hair (Coachella) 2019 - Lana Summer

I think I turned into a kind of half-up half-down she's, like smashed this year, girl yeah, there's pretty much saved my life hi, guys it's Lana here and today I am giving you my Coachella hairstyles as promised. So I think a lot of oh, my gosh. My finger clicks, like I think I may have broken my finger while surfing in Hawaii or fractured it or something it still kind of hurts to bend it a lot and there's a big bump right here. Having like two weeks ago, I don't know, maybe I just like bruised it hurt it or whatever. When it happened fishing my finger swelled up like three times the size in literally like 10 seconds, like it was so scary, can you go forgot to buy travel insurance before she left? That'S why it was scary. Let me just be honest, so I thought I was just gon na have a broken finger for the rest of my life. I had three hairstyles in total. I thought they were kind of easy. I did them in a tent, but chela really kicks off the festival season. We have got months months, the festival hairstyles coming up, so this is a perfect opportunity for me to give you sorry, I got sick in Coachella Valley. I think the high of my eyebrows go the more sick. I am like I'm trying to keep my eyes open. I'M saying I just think that this is gon na, be a perfect opportunity for me to give you some festival, hairstyle inspiration. I mean, I hope you don't, but maybe you would favorite acts that I saw at Coachella. Let me just tell you day: one had to be black pink cuz. Those are my girls. I love like pink Rosie. She had like this glitter kind of like what is inspired my glitter. Today I saw the glitter like sparkling on her head and I cry it's like so I'm saying like an angel will make a grown man cry or an angel made. This grown woman cry. Okay, I've seen beauty in this world. You know what I mean. This is gon na, be hairstyle number one. This is the house I was most excited about. I found some hair accessories. Mr. doose I found these I became so excited. I knew exactly what I wanted to do with them butterfly clip style, but they are flowers, and I have this dress with flowers on so it made sense. I split my hair in half. My hair is already in half like this. I kind of took it diagonally. I guess somebody tell me please what's so funny about when I say diagonally: oh, did she really just say die to me like it's a real word? Yes, I did cuz diagonally is a real word. What do you mean? Why is that funny, when you have separated off this front portion of your hair, you're gon na want to tie away the rest so that it doesn't get in your way? You can put this side of your hair away so that doesn't get in the way. So we're gon na work on this side, you're gon na, want to split this into three just cuz. That'S how many I decided to have like. Maybe you decide, you don't want to have three, but I had three so if you guys this dog, if you guys want to have the same amount that I have then this is what I have every. We can call that number one and then for number two. I'M not gon na split it completely evenly because I wanted to come up a bit higher, so I'm gon na split number two right, then you're just gon na start twisting. So I have a whole tutorial up on my channel about twisting. I don't like going to in-depth with it here cuz. I think it's really easy. You start twisting it from the top keeping it tight. Just twisting it down the line, then you're gon na want to just clip it down face the flower towards the front like it would make more sense to have it sideways, but I wanted it facing the front now with this third one I didn't want to just Do this going straight, I actually rolled this up a bit closer to the top, just to make sure the distance was the same about here and I just started twisting that from there we took that up. So it's kind of diagonal use a little butterfly clip and I put that down. So I really like where Evan told me this looked childish, I loved it. Are you gon na try and twist in the other direction, which is kind of hard? For me? I can only really twist like in one direction it's to give like a symmetrical effect like this, and, of course, I'm gon na do my flowers so that they match from both sites the other ones up here. So I'm gon na take down the rest of my hair. Now I can't stay there like that. I just remember something. I don't think I did leave it like this. I think I then bunched it together up here, and I think I turned it into a kind of half-up half-down. Did you prefer it without the clips or with it? So this was if it has door number one. This was a complete spur-of-the-moment hairstyle. I have had no idea what I wanted to do for Game one for day two I was just like. I was wearing this, which is a bodysuit. It'S actually a piece of lingerie. Let me tell you: it gets so hot in the desert. You can't wear anything else and I didn't know exactly what to do in my head. So I went for space funds. Space buns are almost my go-to when I have to do something festival when I have to do something carnival when I have to do something fun: space buns, it's the way to go so I went miss buns, but I have to fix the camera. This is why I keep being here like this cuz I have to. I wasn't too fussy about the partying or anything like I said we were getting ready in a 10 I had sunstroke, so I was in a bad mood. We had some friends that had been asking us to come out. My brain was like I don't care that you feel sick right now, good job, we're getting ready, we're going out with boeing's - who I just did this as though so quickly, because I just had like this small little Drive of motivation. So I pulled some hair out to frame my face. I usually take my space bones from just behind my ear, so I did that this time I usually want to tie the rest of it away so that it doesn't get in the way when I'm tying the space buns and doing everything that I'm doing with that Helps if you tie it in a bun, because then it's just less likely to get done good in what you're doing next. These are our space buns and I'm just going to split this in half I mean that was super easy, but didn't even use a comb for that. You might need to use a crime I'll leave that up to you. I didn't make this leak or anything like that. I kind of wanted to leave it. It'S some wispy bits and pieces here and there I've wanted that. Look I just twist them as you twist. It will start folding on itself, and that is how I make my space buns. I usually just pin it down with bobby pins and that way disrupt the shape. It doesn't make it bulge in any way, and I think it makes it more secure. So I use bobby pins just like this next one. I actually think this looks bad on now than it did when I was on Coachella and then you can let the rest of your hair out. I wanted to decorate all of this. Like I mentioned back in January, when I said, hair trends that are gon na be big trends, I predicted this accessories. Why don't I keep doing this? Accessories are going to be everywhere, like we saw a few of like the baby hair clips last year, but this year this year, girl I'll put this right. I mean that's very, very bejeweled, but I like it. You know I don't like that. So that was my day yeah like I was not that excited to see childish, gambino cuz, I know a few songs. It'S not like. I know every single song the charge can be noise, air but darn. It'S not like I'm a crazy fan. It'S like everybody knows, redbone, everybody knows this is America, I have to say he was the best performer. He could be talking to the crowd, talking just having a conversation and then he says: ok, let's go and then he hits this note and you like that and those vocals are important and that is saying something. Cuz Ariana was that I didn't feel like. I was gon na die, so I did have this cap, like I said I did have some kind of heat stroke or something yeah, there's pretty much saved my life. Oh, this is the other thing. So if I go to another festival this summer, I want to wear the hairstyle that you guys like the most. So we finally made it to number three, my hair's looking kind of crazy cuz. I don't know a few hairstyles in it now, but number three, it's gon na be the sleekest and most pulled together of all of the looks, because this look was on Sunday on Sunday I was most excited about seeing Ariana Grande and then Ariana Grande. We went all the way to the front. We were there, we all waiting for ariana grande for a good hour, big crowd of us. I'M sure I was the biggest fan there like. I was asking people, what's your favorite song and they were oh. She only has like two albums right and I was like wow, so this look was inspired by my baby Ariana's birthday. So what is she wearing? Ponytails half-up half-down very high up very sleek, pulled very tight. You know she's pulling that face in she's like smashed literally eyebrows, not just skin snatched edges snatch. She pulls everything up very high. So that's what I'm gon na do I do my half ups half stands in a very particular way. There'S a secret to this. There is a trick to make them look better. What you want to do is you want to hide the line like I remember when I used to do this when I was a kid like when I was younger and I used to just do it and you could see the line like sometimes I would tie It like higher than where the hair was so like the hair here would be like pulled forward and it just like a whole mess. So we just want to hide everything. Like imagine like imagine, even if you have like extensions Inc. This is the reason why are in a grande? Does it in the way that she does it's, because she has extensions in so she has the hype. Extensions and the same rule applies even if you're, using all of your own hair or, if you're, wearing a wig or anything you don't want to be showing scalp. So the best way to do that is to take hair from further back because you're gon na pull it up and you're actually gon na come forward with the hair that you separate off is gon na cover it all up. It'S gon na disguise it do you see, you can't see it, but what you can't see is my product build-up, which is a problem, but we'll just pretend it's not there for today. So you're gon na want to section off this main chunk of your hair. With this part of your hair, all you need to do is put it up on top of your head like this. Now, I'm pretty sure when I was in the 10th, I used this trusty comb of mine just been with me through thick and thin. If you really want a super sleek, look, you might want to take some water and some chill right now. This is sad because some of these curls up here look were really nice today, I'm just gon na cut them all out. You see how you can't see a line here, cuz of the way that we took there. So then, when you have it as sneakers, you want it. You'Re, just gon na want to tie it with a hair tie right there in the middle of your head and, of course, you've got to lay your edges baby girl. You got to lay them down, I think maybe even ariana grande has started laying her ages. Don'T ask me about that. Somebody said: Erina Grande wants to be a mixed girl. Don'T ask me about that. I don't know nothing. Oh yes and of course, we've got to take down the rest of our hair. Cuz. That'S not supposed to be down here. Take a piece of hair like this from the ponytail and I wrap it around the hair tie. Cuz the hair tie is kind of ugly. I don't want to see it. I wrapped my hair around it instead. So, of course, I didn't wanted you to leave it like that, because this was Coachella. You know this is festival season. Add some pizzazz diamante letters. I'Ve been obsessed with these ever since New Year, like when I made that video the hardest thing was the placement of this. For me, I didn't know exactly where. To put it, I ended up going with it like kind of right here. That'S it! That'S it for number three, that's number three for you.
