Prom hair tutorial. How to do a beautiful, easy updo with big curls. Elegant, simple wedding prom hairstyles for long or medium hair. Timeless hairstyle for brides, bridesmaids and teenagers going to the prom!

In this, step-by-step, hair tutorial video, I'm going to show you, how to create an easy, curly bun hairstyle on your own hair using pin-curls.
Although this is a low bun hairstyle, you can also use the curl forming technique to create a high top knot look instead.
1) Start by curling your hair with a 1/2" curling iron - for hard-to-curl hair, or 1" iron for normal hair. It doesn't matter which way you curl it since it's all going up into an updo.
2) Then section out your hair.
3) Starting from the bottom, make pin-curls by wrapping the hair around 2 fingers, and pin them up to start the updo.
4) Once you're done with the section, do another until most of your hair in the back is up in pin-curls.
5) After teasing your crown, create a half-updo, and pin curl the ends.
6) Twist the sides away from the face, and pin them up on top of the curls. Pin-curl the ends.
This formal updo with curls will make a wonderful wedding hairstyle, prom hairstyle, for graduation ceremonies, as a homecoming updo, for a fancy party, or even for a date.

Hi guys, I'm Connecticut we're about, and today you're watching, one of my oldest tutorial I'd actually taken this one down a few months ago, but I received so many requests. Put this one back up so here it is make sure your hair is curled with the curling iron and if you have frizzy hair around your face, you want to smooth those down with a blow-dryer before curling it so you'll, look more put together in photos. We'Re gon na get more organized by sectioning out the hair and then starting from the bottom start wrapping a strand of hair around two fingers, you're gon na wrap it twice before pinning both openings of a curl with a bobby pin. If you have fine hair, though you can wrap it more than twice but make sure you're not wrapping it so much that the curl you form ends up looking too thick or bulky, because what we want is to make the curls as light and fluffy as clouds. You guys can also leave out some of the ends out of the bobby pin to create a flirty style, but if it's too long it just look really sloppy and messy. So what you want to do is if you have long hair. Sometimes you want to form two curls with the same strand, but one important thing to remember is don't line up the curls all perfectly all in the same way, unless you want to look like George Washington with an updo here's an example: if you pin the curls Straight for the next curl twist it slightly before pinning it. This is so that, when the light is your hair, it creates more of a dimension, and that's all there is to this simple hairstyle all righty. That was it be sure to give this a thumbs up. Beverley Chinnasami: I tried this hairstyle first time yesterday for a wedding, it came out lovely. Just how I wanted it. A few tips is have a mirror behind you to help with placing of the curl. I also used a sock bun instead of rolling and pinning because my hair felt too loose. so i sectioned of the way you did, put it in a tight low pony and covered a sock bun around it.Then went on to pin my curls like the video.
