Can you say hi Say `` welcome to our channel.'', Hey everybody! Welcome back to my channel. (! Welcome to my channel )! Oh no! You don't have to repeat me again: ( laughs, ), Hey everybody., Welcome back everybody, okay, shhhh, (, laughs, )! Welcome back to my channel Today's video is with my daughter, Mya, who just turned four., Tell them how old you are: (, counting, ), one, two, three four ... Right. Good job.. So here's my daughter, Mya and -., I'm four Yeah. I see. We're going to film the kind of like a requested video. We're doing my daughter's hair.. I kind of wanted to do this video anyway, just because I know there are a lot of moms out there who don't know how to style a mixed child's hair.. So my daughter is part German, my husband's half German., I'm like British, but like a couple of generations back., So she clearly has very mixed kid hair.. This is how you do not want your child to go out of the house. Looking like ... like you, do not want her to go out like this, because every mom in public will know that you don't know how to do her hair., I kind of just --. When I wake up, I just start doing her hair.. That'S when I get the idea of a hairstyle., So I'm just going to do my main Go-To ones, ex., the first ones that I started doing, which are really simple: ... To show you [ all ] that doesn't take a whole lot to do. A mix child's hair., So the products gon na be using today -.. Are you done Nope.? I didn't start yet: ( laughs, ), The only product I used on Mya's hair is water.. Water is going to be your best friend for curly kids hair.. These two are both by Shea Moisture, which does really well for her hair.. So is the Shea Moisture, Coconut, Curl and Style Milk and the Curling Gel Souffle.. Sometimes I use this, but just because it's more like a jelly -., I wan na smell it. You wan na smell it Just because it's more like a gel, I don't use it very often., So a lot of times I'll use it on like her baby hair to lay her hair down because every morning I will do that for her hair.. I don't let her go out of house without laying her edges down.. I just I just this. It'S that final thing that I just have to do. And then I have they're both by ORS.. Oh no, So this is by African Pride Miracle. Moisturizing Lotion. Same thing as this as a hair lotion and it's by ORS. They're, not as thick as the Shea moisture. So sometimes I'll use these two, but I will have a detailed and updated haircare routine for Mya in a few weeks.. That'S all I use just conditioner and water and that's it. We'll go ahead and get started, so you guys can see. So we're all zoomed in so you guys can see her actual hair.. What are you doing? ( laughs ). So this is Mya's hair and, as you can see you, she has natural highlights in her hair. All right .... So I'm going to go ahead and just put water on her hair. Just to start to show you [ all ] how much water is beneficial for curly kids, hair. Get off my hairrr. Okay., So just putting water on her hair, like already just putting water on her hair and her curls are so much more vibrant.. I'M going to do a two-part ponytail, which you can honestly do with different parts.. You obviously don't want to style the hair, the same every single day., So you can do the middle part or side part. and then we'll just go from there and just show you just easy: styles. [, music, ] Okay.. So here are two basic ponytails., Specifically with her hair. I don't like leaving her hair out like this.. If I do, isit is very, very short of a time period just because I don't want hair to poof., So I always do little twists in her hair. Like I showed in our previous video ..., Where you just take a section of hair and just twist it like this and her hair just looks so much better. I'll insert a clip. So You can see what I'm talking about from the previous video. So you can see how I did that., But otherwise this is just one look right here with two basic ponytails. Like I said you could have different parts on each side.: [, inaudible, ], [, inaudible, ], [, inaudible, ]'', say cheese.'', [, inaudible, ], [, inaudible, ], [ inaudible ], [, music ]. I call this the `` lazy style'', because a lot of parents of mixed kids I feel like do this.. They just throw their kids hair up in a ponytail and just leave it at that.. So if you're going to do this, say you're running late, you're, sick or you know, or just have a lot going on in the morning ... You can do this style, but I would still twist it up like I did with the last style.. It just looks so much better like you actually took time to do it and it doesn't take that much longer after throwing it up in a ponytail., So I would definitely suggest doing the twisting style which I'll show you what that looks: like., [, music, ]. Look! How much better that already looks from just twisting her hair as opposed to just leaving it out.? This doesn't look bad, but this just looks so much better [, as if ] you had intention on doing her. Hair. [, inaudible ] wait sit back down, (, laughs, ), Okay, so clearly she's done for the day with recording.. Hopefully that was enough basic beginner styles to show you how to do mixed. Kids hair., If you [ all ] liked this video, please let me know down in the comment: section. Tell me what hairstyle you liked the best + if you've tried any of them, especially if you have mixed kids.. If you guys liked this, I can do another video, because I want to have a playlist of this anyway, with more like intermediate styles, ... (, For example, ) with doing like `` twisties'', since I have done those types of styles with her before. And just so. You guys know like I am not a professional., I'm not a hairstylist. Growing up I never ever EVER played with Barbies. I hated Barbies, I hated dolls.. I have no experience in doing hair.. This is how I wear my hair, every single day. And it's how I styled my hair for years.. I literally just kind of wake up and I'm like ,'', Oh well. I think this will look cute'' and just go.. I have no experience with hair at all.. I say that to say it's not hard to style a child's hair., So if you guys have any comments or questions or anything like that, let me know down below, and otherwise I will see you guys in the next video. Bye Thanks for watching

Victoria Vaden: Thanks so much for the love and comments on this video! Please make sure you’re SUBSCRIBED because I have an entire playlist for mixed hair. Here’s my latest video for Christmas/Holiday hairstyles: https://youtu.be/hUoRZWrQrLQ

Seb B: Thanks. A single dad here and struggling with doing my daughters hair till I found this vid. thanks

Dynamik86: Any Dad taking interest in doing their daughters hair with simple yet great looking hairstyles, this is definitely the spot! Thanks for the video!

Yes, I expect you to read all of it.: This is such a great video! I am mixed myself and was trans racially adopted into a white American family. My mother did not know how to do my hair growing up but she did figure out that conditioner and water helped to tame it a bit. I wish she had known about twisting ! It would have saved me many years of bullying in a predominately upper middle class white private school full of kids afraid of big hair. :( My white mix is Deutsche , Svenska and Dutch(haven't started learning Dutch yet :D) so my hair was so similar to your daughter's hair. I love this video because I plan to have kids myself and I can't wait to do cute styles like this if I have girl and if her hair turns out to be curly :) I do hope your little daughter is bilingual because that is such benefit to a young child! Also she's a stunner, child modeling is an option !

Jessika Bolden: Your daughter is absolutely beautiful. These have helped give me a few ideas on how to do my daughters hair. I have tried so many different products for her hair and I am hoping this will help me a lot with her hair. Thanks for all the awesome suggestions.

Candice MacDonald: Oh my gosh...thank you so much for the tips and ideas. I have to admit, I've been the lazy Mom with a simple pony tail. But my daughter starts school this year and I want to step up my game for her. I'll practice right away...and would love to see more videos!

Aria Carpenter: You two look identical! This warms my heart so much and you're so gentle with her. I wish I had this when I was younger <3

링Ling Seoul xoxo: She's ridiculously pretty ^_^ just like her mom

Tillman Givens III: I swear I wish I could HUG YOU for these videos, as a single dad of two I don't know what I would do with out you, I rarely EVER comment but you helped me SO MUCH! May there be Peace and Blessings to you and your beautiful!

Berry Beautiful: Mya is such a cutie! Gotta save this for my own hair because a few of these could work as an adult like the bun at the top with the hair down in the back. I gotta learn how to braid though lol. Cute video!

Llyassa Johnson: You both are so beautiful ! Thank you for posting your videos. My daughter is mixed as well and sometimes I have a hard time finding different hairstyles for her. Thank you so much !

PomPom: If you pause at 2:58 you can see how much you guys look alike!!! You're both beautiful!!! :) And from a fellow mixed chick who used to walk around with Einstein-looking hair when I was her age, THANK YOU FOR TAKING CARE OF HER HAIR

jennbickerstaff: Omg, thank you! Your daughter is absolutely gorgeous! ❤

cindy asare: Love this video I am struggling how to car for my daughter’s mixed hair too. I have straight hair Asian hair and just don’t know to manage my daughter’s very curly hair until this video. You make it easy with this video.

Leysea J: thank you I have a 4 year old curly haired girl this helped so much!✨

Tillman Givens III: Full-time dad over here struggling with curly hair for my daughter who is a mixed baby so thank you for making this video

Isabel Prosper: Great! Thank you. I will do several of these for my daughter.

Nati Bet: as a mother of an afro german girl i have to give you a great great thank you! these styles gave me so many new ideas for school. i only struggle to find good curly hair products in germany. majority of what you get at the stores here is either packed with mineral oil or not fitting for curly hair. *sigh

Sarah: This video is motivating. I have 4 kids all mixed and I’m good at doing hair but I usually only do braids once a week. Now I’m going to try and do it every other day.

Vika Winters: Thank you SO much for this video! I’m a clueless mom who also never played with dolls growing up. To make things worse - my mom has the girls most of the time, so I get little practice. So many videos out there are for girls with 100% straight hair. Yours is a lifesaver!

Samantha Drolet: I love this thank you. I have been the lazy momma/ busy momma lol. These definitely help me change and learn something new.

Eran Ariel: Doing girl's hair in the sense is like a "thing" which makes this so cute for both mother and daughter.

Savannah McCowen: For other parents here. I use Pink kids on my daughters hair. We use the leave in conditioner and we also use suave shea and coconut oil shampoo and conditioner. It is made for natural hair and has done wonders for the frizz and dryness

Aileen Ruiz: Thanks this was very helpful!!! I usually struggle with my daughters hair early in the morning right before school.

RC Murphy: I only just discovered a water spritz bottle for my daughters hair, after months of slathering it with just Shea leave in conditioner. Now I do combination of the two. The water alone has been a life saver. She's 4 years old and I'm just starting to learn about this now. I've also finally learned how to use a detangling brush without hurting her. Continuing to learn!

ogolalfred: Thank goodness for YouTube and videos like these. We single dads now have an easier way to learn. Thank you, thank you.

Angelica Taylor: Thank you!! We get my stepdaughter every summer and I'm pretty sure she's sick of boxer braids every day when she's at our house lol

MK : UGH SO BEAUTIFUL! I love her curls, she's precious!

Jaylynn life: I'm mixed and i ahve alot of hair this was really helpful for me and my sis

Pavonay Duprey: Very nice video! My granddaughter has similar hair. I have found that a Denman brush works great to clear out her hair. I only use a comb to part it.

arrow mcdowell: You are a blessing. I’m trying to do my nieces hair an I have no clue what to do. Your video helped so much

Julie W: I have a mixed boy, so it was much easier. We had a barber who would give him different unique styles, which was fun. I love all of these styles. I'm so surprised she sat for you this long. How did you do it?!

Curly: I love the colors in her hair!

Amber Pace: Totally going to try out some of these !! I have a one year old daughter but im saving this for future reference for when her hair grows thicker cause im bi racial and my husband is black (egyptian and indian ) her hair is like mine curly and full

E E: Thank you so much!! I'm a mixed teen myself and since my last day of 8th grade was today and it's time for summer and now I'm going natural on my own cause I want it waist length again like it use to be ;-;

N.M Born Channel: that's the same shea stuff I use on my baby hair i love it. Makes her hair so soft

LaChele: awww, she's a doll. I definitely had "ponytail" days growing up. My hair has always been really soft, curly, slightly wavy and poofy. I used to get clowned, but my my my how the tables have turned.

Fit then Predict: There are SO many women who could benefit from this video. It's hilariously disturbing seeing little girls in the mall and their hair looks like a science experiment gone wrong smh.

Her mother is black, but I would say my daughter hair is more of a white curly texture. I do use products like carols daughter black vanilla for the last couple of years. I was wondering what type of brushes I should use because I noticed it’s not exactly what I use. I do have a Cantu detangler comb and brush. Just wondering if there any tips you can maybe give me? Just a a single dad trying to educate myself and do what’s best for my daughter.

Hannah McClanahan: This helps allot with my own hair I have literally almost every race in me except Hispanic, and I have mixed girl hair. I hate brushing it out because it’s so frizzy. People intend on telling me I’m white I don’t have that hair. So I let them feel my hair. I just had a co worker ask me if my hair was fake. Anywho, my baby due oct 6 is mixed. And I was wondering just in case because I was never able to keep up with my own hair.

Noel Goldy: Awesome styles..wish my dad had seen one of these when mom left..lmbo Moms makeup is la Bomba!...need video on that!

Classiq Beautee ™✨: My husband is Guyanese & I’m Dominican so our daughter’s hair is very curly but it’s wavy too so I can’t put too much product in her hair or it’ll be greasy, I always love looking up new styles to do on her hair.....

Candice Mahaboob: This child is beautiful. Wow

Jacqui Hilliker: I wanted to let you know I loved your video. I have never been a girly girl and like you said I cant do hair. I just throw mine up in a ponytail. I am a white jew with the thicker Jewish hair and my daughters father is african American with that really thick curly hair and since finding out I was pregnant with a little girl I have been trying tk figure out how I was going to be able to do her hair & Ive been trying to find simple hairstyles I could do because I see all these really cute styles but I cant do them but after watching your videos I can do those. When her hair grows a little more. My baby is only 2 and her hair is shorter still so I was wondering if you had any videos of when your little girl was smaller with shorter hair because right now all I do is a detaingaler/ conditioner and I pick out her hair to show off her curls. Any help would be appreciated. I just wanted to thank you for actually having simple hairstyle that look really nice.
