Hey guys it's lissette here and in today's video i'm going to be testing out straight hairstyles and seeing if they look good on curly hair. So i'm really curious to see if these hairstyles are going to look good on me. A concern that i have with these hairstyles is like length. My hair is much longer than what you think it is because of shrinkage, and so i'm kind of worried that maybe certain things may not look that great on me, because my hair will just kind of shrink up i'm hoping in this video. I can discover some new cute hairstyles, so let's just see how this goes first thing: i want to show you guys how my hair looked earlier today, and i want to show you guys what i did to be able to prep my hair for these hairstyles. My hair has been in a slick bun for the past few days, so my hair is feeling a bit stiff and kind of crunchy on days where i don't necessarily want to completely shampoo my hair, but mostly just remove gel and, like other previous styling products. I like to co-wash thanks to function and beauty for sponsoring this video. They have created the first ever custom co-wash for curly and coily hair, because everybody's hair is different right. All you have to do is go online and take this mini quiz, and this is to help figure out your hair goals. So i chose curly 3c and my hair goals are to lengthen moisturize. I want some curl definition help with frizz and to deep condition. You can also choose your scent and i chose eucalyptus because this one's 100 natural to create this co-wash function of beauty works with three women within the natural hair community, along with their curly hair customers. So they can get the formula just right and what i love is that they only use clean ingredients so no parabens, no sulfates, 100 vegan and cruelty free. Also, every ingredient in these products are tested extensively and, of course, dermatologist tested. I just like to apply co-wash onto my scalp and it just kind of feels like a non-lathering shampoo. It contains a blend of shea butter, castor oil, avocado oil and aloe juice, which makes your hair super soft and can help reduce breakage. But when using a co-wash, it's best to alternate once every few washes with an actual shampoo just to completely remove build up, but this is still cleaning my scalp. It doesn't over strip it and it's completely removed all that dried on crusty gel that i had on earlier. I even feel like instantly. You can see just how shiny my hair looks right now and overall, my hair just felt really moisturized. If you're interested make sure you click the link in the description for 20 off your first co-wash bottle and after co-washing, you want to follow up with a regular conditioner. So i'm just applying this all throughout my hair and just finger detangling once i'm completely off the shower, i mean guys, you see this length, you see this length, i'm just going to style my hair and just diffuse all right. So now that we're back and my hair is officially styled and ready to go, this is the first style that i'm going to recreate what i notice is like with a lot of straight hair and wavy styles. They always have like a lot of like wispy fringe in the front, so i'm gon na just do my version and have like this piece out. I'M gon na do the exact same on this side. Then i'm gon na take this front section, secure that out the way for now i'm just parting like really loosely, because i don't feel like any of their parts - are very specific, okay and secure that too, so for the back section, i'm gon na gently take it And put it into a low ponytail, i still want, like the texture of the curls, to show through the top and then for these sections. It just looks like a simple twist, so i'm just going to do a twist and then in the back, i'm going to take it under and then cross it on top and just bobby, pin to secure, and then i'm just going to do the exact same thing. On this side and then wrap in the back underneath and then pull it up and i'm just bobby pinning it to secure. I have to do my edges because period, maybe just fluff it out a little bit, make it a little bit looser, and so this is the first hairstyle honestly. This came out a lot better than i thought it would like. I felt like these twists were just so loose that i just wasn't gon na look right on me, but honestly, i feel like it's very boho, okay, so for the next hairstyle it's kind of similar to this one, but it's also like a bun. Maybe i'll try a little bit of fringe around the face, so i took out this piece for some fringe. I have this piece out so with that same section that i had earlier, i'm gon na try to take a little bit more fringe out for my face. I'M going to take a slightly larger section from the previous hairstyle, and now that i have this section, i'm going to do a very, very, very, very, very, very, very loose braid, okay cool, so it kind of got a little too tight, so i'm gon na spread This just to open it, i'm not really sure if the braids on the other side, but i'm just going to assume that it is, and i'm just going to do another one kind of spreading it to make it a little bit wider for the rest of my Hair, i'm going to take my hair into a low bun, and that way it just creates like a really cute little like circle situation, i'm just going to wrap it over and under just crisscross over the top. My hair is like two-toned right now, where it has like the blonde in the back at the tips. So that's why i feel like the back kind of looks a little bit weird like the bun, but just imagine if my bun was just all one color. You can see how the braids crisscross that top - and it has this little cute bun. Let'S put this one in the braid kind of tuck. That away, i feel like this is super cute. What'S crazy is like i never remember these pieces being so long. I'M just gon na redefine these pieces and see if i can play with it a little bit, and this is number two i really like this one. I was surprised by this one, but i really actually like this one and honestly, i'm probably gon na do this. One again, it's cute: isn't it only thing i'd probably change is making the braids just like a little bit tighter, so the next hairstyle. I don't really know if it's gon na look good on me, because i typically don't do high ponytails with my hair at the length that it's at, if it's not a pineapple, just like a regular ponytail. I just don't know if it really looks that cute. Unless the hair is long, you know, but we're gon na just see and give it a shot. I'M gon na start with my hair parting, it down the middle. I got my hair parted down the middle and then i'm going to part my hair on both sides with this back section tied into a bun real, quick, i'm going to tie these sections up, i'm gon na take my spray bottle and i'm just gon na wet The back and with a brush, i'm just gon na start brushing back. My hair looks like her. Ponytail is very high and i'm just going to tie my hair into a ponytail and i'm just kind of like re-wetting, my ponytail, just because it was looking a little frizzy and hey gives me a little bit of length, so i'm not mad at it. I'M also going to take a piece of the ponytail and use it to wrap around my band and then also just bobby pinning it right underneath there for these front sections they 100 need to be wet. I'M gon na apply some gel onto my brush. The hard part for me is not really knowing where those pieces are. I feel like it's just clipped in the back and hidden behind the ponytail in some way. So that's what i'm gon na try to do. I'M gon na quickly just tie this up just so that it's not in the way, and then i'm also going to take just like a clear elastic just to tie these pieces in the back and then with this little piece in the back. That'S just hanging i'm just going to twist it and clip it up and just put the ponytail right down on top. My ponytail is still a little bit wet um honestly, i feel like it looks kind of cute when it's like frizzy, just because this is so slick, so it's just kind of like. Oh, it's like frizzy in the back. This is the final hair really quickly. I just kind of wet it and like applied a little bit more product, i have different curl types. If my hair was long though, and my hair was long, i really really like this one you're going to have the fluffy curls in the back. It'S simple, but you still look put together. The next hairstyle we're already at a pretty good starting place. I already got my middle part going so looking good, and this is the photo inspiration i'm gon na. Take my comb, i'm gon na part, my hair a little bit further back. I got my part, i'm just going to take triangular sections and i'm going to take one from each side and the parting doesn't have to be like super perfect or anything. I'Ve got my two sections just for now twist these away and with the rest of my hair, i'm gon na put it into a really sleek bun, so i'm wetting it and just take some gel to really smooth things. In now, the bun doesn't need to be like super super high based on the photo. It looks like the bun isn't like. On top. It looks like it's more like at the crown i'm gon na brush out my ponytail and then i'm just gon na twist. This hair really tight and just start wrapping it and then just bobby pin. So, in regard to these two front pieces, i'm gon na do one piece at a time i'm gon na wet it and kind of smooth it and start brushing it back and also taking some gel to really lock that in just kind of finesse it to blend And then wrapping it around the bun and it'll just kind of stay, and then i'm just going to do the exact same thing on this side, because if you were to just brush it like straight back, it won't have that line in the middle. So you have to kind of like fake it. You can make your part as like long as you want, i kind of like it short like this, i'm just trying to like play around with it to get it like the desired sleekness. But this is the final sleek bun. Let me know in the comments down below which one out of the four is your favorite hairstyle. For me, i kind of feel like number three like loki like came out of nowhere. I thought i would hate it, but i actually don't and i feel like it's super cute, but i really like this one too honestly. I really liked them all if you like, hairstyle videos like this, and you want me to do more of them. Please make sure to give me a big thumbs up subscribe to my channel. If you haven't already and i'll see you guys in my next video bye, you
