Hi guys welcome back to my channel today we're doing a hair video on kenya because, as you can see, she needs to get spruced up for the week and this particular style that i do has her hair set to go all week. I can't wait to show you guys so, let's start off by opening our package from shea moisture, go ahead and show them. These are the products that we're going to be going over today, which is the jamaican black, castor oil line. So the first item is going to be the strengthening and restore styling lotion. Next, we have the strengthening and restore conditioner last we have that good old shampoo, that's gon na get in good, get all that gunk out. So this is the part here yeah. Let'S get into it, so we just got done washing my hair, and this is what it looks like and my hair is so soft and smells so good. So right now i am going to be parting. Her hair horizontally, you guys know i always struggle with my parts. I don't know why it's still just so hard for me to do, but once i have that done, i gather her hair in the back put in a hair tie and in the front i am going to continue to part it vertically now, because i am going To be doing four braids in the front, this product is amazing, honestly, all three of them are, it smells so good. It has. The combination of black, castor oil with shea butter and shea moisture is really good with their products. It'S paraben free, no formaldehydes, no mineral oils, and it is animal cruelty, free as well. Black castor oil is one of the best natural oils to use for your hair, because it has so many benefits which includes thickening and making your hair look fuller. It gives it shine and also helps with extreme hair growth. Okay, so for each small section, i go in with more lotion just to make sure that the hair is hydrated and that the braids will just come together way better. I start off by pulling out the baby hairs and then i gather the hair into three sections and then i take the hair wrap it around my index finger pull wrap around my index finger and pull. I know that's not even a good explanation, but that's the best way to explain it. Then, once i'm at the end, i take the hair, and i just do i braid it just a little extra and then i go ahead and take this clear, hair tie, which is better for me than rubber bands, because it's more of like elastic it doesn't cause. As much breakage as the black rubber bands, so then you'll see me lining up her hair just to make sure it's even on both sides for the four braids and then i just do it all over again. So now it's time to give the back some attention. We start off with the water per usual with her hair because it is finer than mine. I do not have it dripping. Soaking wet like i do with mine. I just dampen hers with the water and you'll, see me going in with that styling lotion just to apply some more moisture, but i did leave in a good amount of conditioner, so her hair is already moisturized, the combo with the shea butter and the black castor Oil is really just such a beautiful pair; it just makes her hair so silky and i love it. It smells amazing too right now on this side, i'm doing the same thing kind of just detangling, her hair, and i go in with the raking method - and i do this section by section so that her curls are not clumped together, they will be more separated. So i do that all over and then once i get to the front, i also take the braids that i did as well and i go back and rake those just so they're more uniform with the rest of her hair. Now it's time for those baby hairs. We go in with the daily hydration styling gel, also from shea moisture. This is such a lightweight gel. It'S perfect for her edges in her hair, because again she doesn't need that much hold. I love it. It'S lightweight, but it also lasts all day. It doesn't get flaky, it doesn't look, gooey um, it lasts for her and you know, kids are active when she comes home from school. Those baby hairs are still in place. I love it. So i'm just you know working my little magic. I call the baby hair brush the painting brush, because you know we just do we picasso with the baby hairs, we just do a little wave, a little sushi swoosh and it comes together perfectly. Do we put in the pink and blue butterfly clips because of my shirt, and i love how my hair turned out. It looks so cute and smells so good. What it looks like.
