Christina xx

Hi there i'm christina from hair romance and i've got three easy romantic hairstyles you can do in curly hair. Let'S get started. The first style is the half up twist to start this half up style decide if you want to leave some of your curls out around your face. I am i'm gon na pick a couple of these shorter layers at the front to leave out. Then you want to take a section of hair from behind them. That'S depend on the thickness of your hair, i'm going to take about this much hair and what we're going to do is twist it up and back now before we pin it. You want to go in and stretch this curl out, do that by holding the end and pulling it pieces throughout the twist, and you can also grab between your thumb and finger and kind of smush it together. I don't know another way to say that, but it helps us by to loosen it and really bring out the texture. You don't want to have a tight twist. Actually loosening it up. Will let the texture of your curls shine through then we're going to take that curl around the back and there's a place? That'S most flattering for where to pin any sort of half up styles. If you feel for that bone at the back of your head, that's called the occipital bone. It usually sits around about this point and sitting just there or a little bit lower is super flattering, i'm going to lay that twist there and place my bobby pin horizontally through the twist, connecting it to the hair underneath and then we're going to repeat that on The other side, picking up a section of hair, twisting it up and back and then making sure to tease it out a little. Then we're going to lay that across the other twist and again pin horizontally through the half up twist is super simple. But if you want to take it a step further, you can repeat this doing two more twists on either side or you can pop a nice pin or a clip right where the twists meet at the back, just to add a little bit of embellishment, but really There'S no need because your curls and their texture are beautiful, just as they are now. Let'S go and try an updo. This updo is the romantic roll for this romantic roll you're going to need a couple of hair accessories. You'Ll need an elastic headband one! That'S looped! All the way around and a couple of bobby pins now, normally you put your headband over your head and it goes under your hair, but for this style we're actually going to put it over the top of our hair. You want to put it an inch or so back from your hairline and put the bottom down here. So it's just sort of all over your hair. Now it's going to puff up a little bit, so i'm going to adjust it by pulling the hair through underneath, so that it's not too puffy inside there. We go so that i've got the shape that i want there. This headband is actually great. It'S one from invisible and it has little non-slip silicon inside it, so it does stay put if your headband is moving, get a bobby, pin and pin it along your headband here on either side to help hold it in place. Now, what we're going to do is actually twist and tuck our hair into the headband, so we're going to lift it up, lift the headband up and pull our hair through on the side i like to actually pull it through, but as we get to the back, I'M actually going to tuck it all the way in so actually rolling and tucking. All of that hair in to create a loop. I just found a bobby pin in my hair from before anyone else. You all know that feeling and repeating on the other side, looping our hair over the band and then tucking it all in now how big or small you want to create this roll is entirely up to you. You can compact your hair to make it smaller or pull it out so that it's a little bit thicker and then, when it comes to the front, it can be a little bit puffier at the sides. So this is where you might want a few bobby pins to actually adjust so that it's sitting a little bit narrower on the sides, and i like to then to pull a few extra pieces out around my ears here and leave a couple of curls out too. This updo is great if you've got sort of messy day two day three day: five curls, whatever you've got, and it does kind of give me brigitte and vibes without it being super complicated. This is a really easy, quick updo. Now, let's try braid. This is the braided bun. You know i love braids. I'Ve even got a whole course teaching you how to braid, but for this style i want to keep it really simple and it's just a three strand braid. So i start by picking up a section of hair and the trick for braiding curly hair is to go with where your curls are naturally separating so don't try and make the sections equal just grab wherever the curls are separating and you'll get a lot less frizz. This way and then we'll just do a basic three strand braid crossing over and when you get to the end of your hair, we'll go back and sort of stretch out the braid. We want to make sure that you can really see it in your hair, and so if you've got fine hair, especially this is the best trick. You go back in holding the bottom of your braid and pull to really stretch out the sides. This isn't as easy as when you're doing it in straight hair. So what i like to sometimes do is just widen each little part of the braid just by rubbing it between my fingers. It helps the hairs actually sort of lay next to each other, rather than actually pull through, and that really helps to widen the braid and give it a much more sort of impact in the in the finished style. So now we've got that braid done uh. You can put in a little elastic at the bottom, but with curls, it's just going to stay there in my hair, i'm going to leave that out of the way. While i get the rest of my hair and into a side ponytail. If you want to leave out any layers, choose those now it's a little bit easier than having to pull them out at the end, and i'm securing my ponytail with an invisible ball just looping that around and i want the ponytail to sit quite low. Now we'll leave that braid to the side for the moment we're going to create a bun and there's a few different ways. You can do this. It'S really going to depend on your hair, i'm going to show you a different way to do it, instead of twisting it around into a more sleek style. Bun really want to amp up the texture of the curls, so i'm going to do a series of loops and twists to give it more of a sort of updo rather than a traditional bun. So you'll just need a lot of bobby pins and you want to take sections of hair and either wrap them around your fingers to create little loops, which you can pin in place, or you can also take sections and twist them around and lay them down to. Pin i sort of like to work in a circular way around my hair elastic to make sure that i know i've covered it and remember to twist a little section down underneath so that the bun looks more anchored now when it comes to the middle there's. A few different ways you can pin them, you may want to wrap them around and lay them flat almost like a pin, curl and pin across them. I weave my bobby pin through to make sure that it holds and i'll loop that last section around the good thing with curls. Is it doesn't matter if you've got layers, sticking out or all different ways? These little twist, buns really give the impression of having, like you know, getting a fancy updo done, but you're able to do it in your own hair. Now we're ready to pin that braid. What we're going to do is lay it over the top of our bun double check that you're still happy with how it's looking and what we're going to do is angle it around i like to pin at the beginning so that it's sitting across and then i Take another pin, i might leave those ends loose at the back and pin that around the great thing with curls is: if you've got any of these little layers that are sticking out, you can just get a bobby, pin and push them in or most likely you Can push them in any way, or i don't mind a few pieces sticking out. I think it gives a little softer feel to their finished style. So now that your hair is all romantic, it's definitely time to go out and if you haven't got someone to go on a date with why not date yourself, it's something! I'M doing this year trying to take myself out and treat myself to some of my favorite things. Go out to your favorite cafe, for lunch, go to a gallery! Try a new area you haven't been to before. All of these things are fun ways to date, yourself with your romantic hairstyle. It'S a great way to have your own hair romance and have a little bit more fun. If you do try these styles, i would love to see a picture. Please tag me at hair romance on instagram and let me know you can always send me a dm as well have fun with your hair and i'll see you next time. Bye. You
