So if you have this, if the sides are about you know maybe to the below the ear or the chin area, then with the back it all kind of angles and flows in together. So the next big thing that's important about this type of haircut is: it has to be layered in order for waves and curls to kind of stand out or to be able to have different. You know texture in it and it makes it maybe a little bit. Curlier in some areas or not in others, you need to have your hair layered, because layering removes weight from the hair which allows the hair to have some flexibility and texture in it uh. So it's not just all weighing it down. If you try to get this haircut and you have no layers on it whatsoever, the chances are it's just not gon na look like the John B hairstyle. You have to have some layers in it, which is going to be able to even help get that wave or Texture more. If you have perfectly straight hair.
