Jessica Simpson is being mom shamed for letting her daughter dye her hair, the singer posted this photo of seven-year-old Maxie at the salon. With the tips of her blonde locks dyed purple, the haters were quick to chime in isn't she too young to have her hair dyed goes one comment: why start ruining her hair? So young goes another one person who is coming Jessica's defense, fellow pop star, pink slamming? What she calls the parent police, the singer posted this picture of her eight-year-old daughter, willow. Getting her hair dyed, blue, pink, even did the job herself. I heard people were bummed on Jessica Simpson for letting her 7 year olds get her hair colored. So we thought we'd share what we did yesterday she wrote. Is it really dangerous to dye your kids hair? We stopped by children's salon, Tipperary, in Los Angeles, to find out some stylists recommend using a less permanent spray-on color. Instead of real hair dye, it can stay. One to two days, maybe three days and other stylists recommend avoiding the scalp the way Jessica did it's the ends of the hair that are being dyed. It'S only quote unquote dangerous if you're putting color on the scalp, because their skin is a lot more sensitive and delicate than adult skin. You

Yolo: My bestfriend literally dyed her WHOLE hair purple when she was 4- I-

Anna Oop: We always have that one kid at school who dyes their hair every week

Delia8720: “Isn’t she too young to dye her hair?” Um aren’t u too old to judge a child?

Kate Combs: All the boomers out there be like “Isn’t she to young” “What if something bad happens to her hair” “Did her parents agree” “Her hair is going to be ruined”

That One Spoopy Kid: it’s not dangerous, it’s hair and it will grow back. My sister wants the ends of her hair dyed and I don’t think there is anything wrong with it.

Analise Rosa: Me: *Dyes my hair WITH mum’s consent* Other people: YoUr MuM mUsT nOt CaRe AbOuT yOu!

I love the Periodic table: True story: I wanted to get my hair died temporarily for a Halloween costume. My mom wouldn’t let me get it done professionally. She got the cheep spray stuff from the dollar store and I come home(I was at school) and I was about to pass out. Lesson don’t get hair dye from the dollar store

Princess sparkly Unicorn: 1:02 I think it's perfectly safe at the tips so why is everyone hating?

Liliana T: “...Blue, Pink even did it herself” Haha

Dekiaaa: When will people learn to mind they’re own business. Its NOT YOUR CHILD

Sam Z: First time I dyed/got my hair dyed I was 4. My hair is perfectly healthy. The only thing that makes it unsafe is not taking proper care of your hair. As long as you use the correct shampoos and conditioner you should be fine. Just make sure you aren't allergic to any of the ingredients in the product cause I've sadly had allergic reactions to hair dye and it can happen when you aren't careful. Edit: Spray on is fine for quick events, but not great for over a day because of the crunchy texture of hair after using it, similar to hair spray.

Sabrina McNeil: My Mom used to say "When *my* hair grows on *your* head, you can do whatever you want with it. But until then, I'll do what I like". I think that's the approach I'd use if the *Social Media Parent Police* started butting into my child's hair dye decisions.

Gloria Marie: People need to chill out, those aren’t their children.

Cat_races: Dude it’s hair... i died mine blue when I was ten and I’m alive and I still have hair

Xxxxxxxooooooooo: People don’t judge her because I’ve been dyeing my hair since I was 8

Olivia Thornell: It's had my hair dyed for years, now. IT does not effect me in a NEGATIVE way. Yes, i understand other people have different type of skin than me,but being of VERY fair skin, i think it's totally fine, and it doesn't stay the rest of your life. Even "permant" dye gives out around 5-7 months, from my experience. Also, the tips aren't bad, compared to the kids at my school, (sexualized clothing, lots of piercings, etc.) plus, her hair will grow out. So stop losing your minds over this child have her hair tips being dyed. Btw, i was in Kindergarten when i got my hair dyed, so ppl shouldn't be judging this little girl. PS. Also, this isn't trying to be offensive.

Leah: the karen’s: THATS KILLING IT the karen’s when they refuse to give their kid a shot that could save their life one day: ‍♀️

Lovely Doll Time: Next question: "Is it safe for kids to breathe?"

Ray Mak: It's not dangerous, just not so healthy if applied on scalp

sᴜɴғʟᴏᴡᴇʀ_ ʜᴏʙɪ: “use temporary hair spray” *proceeds to spray a pink color on a girl with dark brown hair*

Eamon Mohan: It’s literally the most harmless thing any kid can do if done by someone who knows how dye it

Random _ Hooman: I got my hair dyed in first grade and I get compliments on how healthy my hair is I dye it like 5 times a year, then the spray dye makes my hair unhealthy and dry so, LOGIC PEOPLE LOGIC.

Karma Kae: Bruh.. I started dying my hair at like 6, and here I am at 14 still going at it. My hair isn’t dead (prob because it grows crazy fast) and my next dying will be beach blonde, not at the roots. As long as the roots aren’t like bleached, then it will be better I think. Like why do people have to go crazy over this and not like murders or robberies? Smh

Ashleytingzzzzz: Honestly who cares? They act like they gave their child alcohol or a cigarette. ITS HAIR DYE

bel: When i was 10 my mom dyed and bleached my hair. I see no problem with parents letting their children get their hair dyed.

Rose dancer: I didn't get pink in my hair until I was thirteen and I've had every color of the rainbow in my hair ever since. Mainly a lot of blue, purple, black or sometimes green.

Oml_ Lilly: i got my hair dyed when i was 8. really really blue too. it looked really good and it washed completely out at about 5 months and didnt ruin my hair one bit.

Siimplyjetti_: I’m trying to convince my parents to let me dye my hair, wish me luck! I’ll give y’all an update on their answer Edit: THEY SAID YESS

Jayden T: I’m young, already bleached and died my hair about 7 times. My scalp is perfectly fine. And I didn’t even go to a hair dresser. It’s their hair and it’s their choice on how they wanna express it

KREW FOREVAH: my mom ain't never gonna let me dye my hair until I'm an adult, though sometimes it kinda sucks cause I kinda want a streak or something I don't want to have to keep dying it over and over and that leads to it ruining my hair so I'm kinda glad, but then again its everyone's choice if they like to dye their hair or not

Analise Rosa: Had my hair dyed, completely safe. Had it done when I was 10.

Maddy_: Her hair looks amazing! DONT LET HATERS HATE!!!♡♡♡

Toasted Olive: I think having dye directly on the head/skin isn’t that good for your health but on like the tips I think it’s fine

jadeee: I dyed my hair red and orange at the ends (and had to use bleach) and my hair is literally fine, it’s like I never did anything to it

maya marino💗: I think she looks beautiful with the hair dye and without it, but is boosting her confidence and thats what matters

rn: Ive had my hair dyed since i was 9 and im still fine so let them express themselves

MiaAmi: I had my hair dyed multiple times as a child to get rid of the head lice , does that count as abuse? It wasnt some unnatural hair color either it was just a color that looked really close to my hair color.

Jay W: Celebs can’t do nothing without getting hate like mind your business ‍♀️‍♀️

Cecilia Gago: My mom is a hair stylist And its perfectly fine to dye ur kids hair My mom did it when I was like 5 And yes avoid the scalp

pe8782: ive dyed my hair pink twice, once when i was like 8 and recently im completely fine and my hair is fine

Simp 4 Williams: I bleached my hair at 6. She didn’t even have to damage her hair because it was already blonde but it didn’t even damage mine. It’s ridiculous. There’s kids getting starved and beaten but dying your hair is bad?

ArcticFoxyGirl: I had the front of my hair, so like a little bit, bleached (I have dark brown hair) and dyed when I i was almost eight, maybe eight? Grew it out with trimmings until it was nearly nonexistent, then had more highlights put in. I think if you do this, it’s best to do the ends, or if it’s on the scalp, do it with someone you know and trust.

Smoll Bean: My mom had her hair dyed blonde as an Asian until she was 10. She had no idea her hair was black. When she found out she immediately wanted to stop because her hair dresser said it would make her go bald. Hair dye was a lot worse in the 70s of course. I can’t imagine how she reacted when she realized her hair was an entire different color and she didn’t know her whole life.

Weewoo777: I’m a teen and has died my hair 7 times in two years ‍♀️ I guess my mom is a bad mom lol

Jolanta Gavutiene: My mom dyed my hair when i was 8 but only the ends but the same color purple.

Lemon Town: **using a color tint to color your kids hair** “NOT ALLOWED” **spraying colored chemicals in their face with no ventilation** “Yeah that’s okay I guess”

Ms kids: It's just hair. It'll grow back, and it's not that dangerous at all. People need to just worry about their own families. Smh

Calli UwU: Bruh I’m 9 and my mom let me get purple in my hair. SMH ‍♀️

Be: Childhood is the best time to dye hair. It’s whimsical and fun for the kids. It will get out of their system by the time they reach their rebellious phase. If you don’t want you’re kid to live a lifetime of neon hair.. let them dye there in childhood. I guarantee they will associate it with childhood fun instead of rebellion or social distinction

Night Wolf237: As someone who dyed my hair when I was younger like 9 years old, my hair isn’t what it was before… so yeah the tips would be best

Sofie Lii Lidmets: I first dyed my hair when i was like 10 and i haven’t stopped. I have had pink, blue, red and currently brown hair and it is super healthy and completely fine

Just Calista: I don’t think you should let a kid 7 years old permanently dye their hair, because they might regret it. Maybe do a semi permanent which lasts about 2 months.

Lizzie: I mean, I dyed my hair a purple pink color and I’m fine and it was permanent, but it’s faded this is the THIRD time! My mom allows it of course, I cannot dye it myself so I have my mom help me but hey it’s just under my hair so it’s hard to really notice, I did it for the summer because it was really pretty and it brought more summer vibes but, as a younger child, I used the spray on hair dye so it’s okay but every mom is different

sarah: I’ve literally dyed my hair since I was 5. It’s not a big deal.

MintzyRolly: I just dyed my hair

S: Next video: is it safe for your child to go outside?

CODE 941 MUSIC : I think it’s better to dye your hair as a kid because when you’re an adult there’s many jobs that don’t allow unnatural hair colors

Animechanxoxo: I'm 13 and I dyed my hair a dark brown/red because my curls look better with a dark colour

tori rose: honestly why is it a big deal. its for hair. either way, hair grows back.

brooklyn dunn!: I dyed my hair at the age of 7. It’s not bad. My hair is totally fine. I had super blonde hair so that’s when I just dyed it. Yes my whole hair is dyed, permanently.

spinel oof: Child: *dyes hair* Everyone: OMG you must have awful parents Me: ITS JUST A NEW HAIR COLOR IT WILL WASH OUT OMG

Simply Rxses: I started dying my hair and doing crazy stuff at 8 and I still do it. In fact I got mine died yesterday

End: I'm still a child and I've dyed my hair 6-8 times since I was 8-

danielle garcia: I’m 11 and I died my hair at 10 it’s literally not that big of a deal I’ve already died my hair 3 times my mom is a hair stylist and I take care of my hair let people parent the way they want.

Lee Soonie: I used to dye my hair so often during my childhood, it’s fine omg

Michelle Ruiz: Imagine caring about how someone else cares for there own child ‍♀️

JSDelayed: I have dyed my hair. It's sad how people target other people on their kids

xxAnimalGirlPlayzxx: The first time I died my hair was in kindergarten! I got pink highlights in it.

DiaC: So what she has purple hair?! I think it’s adorable and a way of expressing herself

Bj Smith: I applaud Jessica for having her daughter's ends of hair done and not her the scalp. A DYE I would think is much more harsher than a spray on or a rinse.

Karen Arredondo: It’s called mind your own business , it’s her daughter not your so ‍♀️‍♀️

iloveurdad11: Only time I’ve had my hair dyed would be the spray on ones at fairs and that And I’ve have my hair semi dyed pink so it only lasted a couple days.

XxNightFox ArtxX: I got my hair dyed for the first time when i was 10 and i kept on dying my hair since then (i did take breaks of dying my hair) but my hair is fine

Andrea Killturn: I've been dying my hair since grade 3 and I'm 11 right now and half my hair is black and half my hair is blonde to those haters can go kill themselves because you do not criticize a mother for letting her child do what she loves

Unicxrn: I started dyeing my hair when I was 5 and my mom does it all the time

Oh Alexis: Y’all love getting in other peoples business. Let people raise their children the way they want.

favrrl: It’s fine bc I died my hair when I was 5 it was ok and didn’t hurt or add chemicals and it was real hair dye

Uh Yeah: I dyed my hair tips blue and teal and people didn’t really care, plus if the mother is okay with it then that’s her choice, not other peoples

Lizzy Gibby: they’re expressing themselves, let them be them, if it makes them feel beautiful, then go for it!

twice addict: I’m 16 and I’ve dyed my hair a few times and it’s not dangerous. Just avoid the scalp on younger children and don’t dye the hair too much, as it can get damaged. As long as it’s done safely, there shouldn’t be any problems. ❤️

French Vanilla: I think it's so cute when I see little children with colorful hair. I believe in allowing kids to express themselves, this is harmless especially towards the ends of the hair. ‍♀️

tamfam tamfam: Okay I'm 11 years old and I've been dying my hair every since I was three this mom should not be mom shamed that's so messed up

rice: i dyed my hair 4 times between 4-6 grade. its fine as long as you dont bleach it all the time.

Fruity382 Barrios: I’m 10 and my mom dyed my hair light brown since it was dark brown but she uses non toxic hair dye she is also extra careful

Ben Moreno: Didnt know everyone knew how to parent wow such amazing skills with other peoples kids but not their own lmao

Ella: Me watching this as I wait for my hair dye to be ready to wash out

card deck: i literally got my hair dyed (whole thing colored) when i was like 11 and my hair is fine

Deku: Since I'm a ginger ive only dyed my hair 2 times and that's because there was lice going around I still put extra dye in my hair but I ovoid my scalp and when I had hair dyed I would get shamed by my grandmother for dyeing it.

L4IN: I hylighted my hair pink once and I was younger :O But my hair was safe

Aiyana_YK15: Her hair is beautiful period

Katie Miller: it’s her choice! if the daughter and mom agree that it’s ok to dye the hair, it’s fine! she’s not an infant...

Shrekdswamp: When I was 6 I dyed my whole head blue and sea green and it was permanent There was no problem. And people should not criticise you for dying your kids hair It’s a fact . They should mind there own. Or stay quiet

Leighanna Boden: Im 13 and have had my hair dyed multiple times on the ends at first but now ive had my whole head dyed and tbh nothing bad has happend and i first fully dyed my hair in the beginning of 2020
