Thank you hey guys, so I just want to show you. This is what her hair typically looks like after I take her hair out of the ponytails um. It'S for the most part, it's pretty much stretched, and this is how it looks as you can see. I'Ll show you guys there's a lot of moisture when I use those ponytail holders. It typically leaves a little bit of lit in her hair, so I have to really make sure that I get that Lit out, but this is what it looks like show. You guys the back. She lets me get back there, so that is with the back, looks like foreign and moisturize and we are going to restyle it again, hey guys, so I'm just showing you that this is what her hair typically looks like once we get out of the shower, as You can see the curls are really really tight and I'll turn around, so you guys can kind of see the back okay. So this is with the back of her. Hair looks like this is what her hair looks like once it's done and um she has some braids right. There show them your brace lookies I'll bring the camera down, so you guys can see. He has some braids going on some ponytails and I finger coiled each ponytail that helps the um that helps for me to retain a lot of moisture in her hair when she has this hairstyle and also finger coiled the ends of her braids and I'll show you Guys the back looks like she has some braids back here and a little ponytail and some more braids and I'll kind of touch on why I keep the back braided in just a moment. Okay, so um. When I first had a little girl, it was really difficult for me to kind of figure out what hairstyles to do with a little girl because online. I couldn't really find a lot of hair videos or blogs on how to take care of a baby's hair under under one years old um, but she is six months old right now and, as you can see, she does have a lot of hair for six months. Um the sides are kind of thin and it's been like that since she's been born - and this is predominantly uh, where a lot of her hair is at the center of her hair and in the back, her texture is a little bit different. The back texture is um, doesn't retain moisture as much so I do have to keep her hair moisturized a lot um throughout the week in the back, especially, I think her hair texture might be just a little bit off. I'M not gon na hair type. Her right now only because she's so young, her hair texture is gon na change. So I'm I haven't really hair typed her, but her hair is very soft and is very, very curly um. So I'm going to go ahead and start with the products that I use to wash her hair um. I washed her hair with the Johnson's extra conditioning, and this is what the bottle looks like. I probably purchased it from Publix, my local grocery store, and actually what I did with this bottle is I added about. I want to say about a quarter cup of grapeseed oil to help add a lot more um oils to the hair, because I want to keep her hair as moisturized as possible um. But I wash her hair anywhere between two to three times a week and I co-wash her hair when I wash it typically, her hair is usually always in ponytails, and the reason why her hair is always in ponytails is because her hair retains so much more moisture At this and ponytails, if I just leave it out like in a little kind of like Naturals um hairstyle, what tends to happen is her. Hair gets really really dry, it gets really really matted and it's really hard to detangle and one thing about um baby's hair is when you're. Whenever you're doing that hair you don't you want to be as gentle as possible. So I find that keeping hairstyles like this is more gentle on her hair, especially the detangling process, but once I wash her hair, what I will do is, I will typically um braid her hair once it's once it's washed or I'll. Do a hairstyle like this. Usually it's a hairstyle like this. That'S just really easy to do. Takes me like 30 minutes to do. Typically, I wash her hair during nap time or at night right now, it's a lazy day. It'S snowing outside. So I did her hair um during nap time. First bath: that's when I really started um taking care of her hair. I typically I started taking care of her hair when she first had her first bath and the only product that I used in her hair was um. I used the Vino. I use the Aveeno wash and shampoo. You can watch the baby's hair and shampoo at the same time and that's what I use and once once she was all washed up and everything what I did was. I used organic coconut oil. This is what it looks like. It'S organic 100, organic coconut oil um. It'S unrefined! You can find this in the grocery store. I got this from um, the the decaf, the decaf County Farmers Market in Atlanta, Georgia, and so for about two months. I have upgraded since then um, because her hair texture is changing and her hair requires a lot more moisture. Would I have begun moisturizing her hair now is with um my shea butter mix I'll leave the link below on how I make it. But this is what I use. I use a lot of it in her hair because I want to keep it as moisturized as possible because if once the hair gets too dry, that's when you'll notice that the hair starts breaking off. If the baby's sleeping on their back, the hair will dry out a whole lot more, which, which is why, typically a lot of times you'll see. Babies like the back of their hair will be really really thin. As you can see, the back is not really thin for her, but sometimes like in this area. You'Ll see that their hair is really really thin, and that is because the hair is dry and it's rubbing against the cotton of the sheets. And so, if you lay your baby on the back, you want to keep their hair as moisturized as possible. That'S why once I started giving her um baths, I use coconut oil and I use shea butter, oh um. So when I do the back of her hair, I try to keep it braided and I try to use like a lot of this stuff, because I know her hair is gon na dry out and um, typically, like usually I'll style, her hair on the weekends and, Let'S say I'm washing her hair two to three times per week, but in between that period, like her hair needs to be refreshed. What I do is, after this Spritz bottle. It was an old bottle or product in it, and it just has a light mist that comes out of it, as you can see, and all it is, is water and Jasmine oil. I try to use. I only use natural products on her hair, so this is like bottled water and Jasmine oil and the reason why the Jasmine oil is in here because it makes the hair smell really really good. So let's say it's not wash day, but her hair needs to be refreshed, but I'll do it I'll, take her ponytails out and I'll just lightly Mist it with the water. I don't get it soaking wet and it barely gets damp. But it's enough to re-moisturize the hair and I add a little bit of this oil in in there um I bought this product a while ago. I bought this product when I bought the conditioner. This is the no more tangle detangling spray and I absolutely hate it. I don't use it, I use it about for a week, but I stopped using it because really, you know she's a baby, and I want to keep her products As Natural as possible and in my opinion, this stuff is doesn't really do anything and it has so. It just has so much ingredients in it. I can pretty much detangle her hair with this and a little bit of this. Another thing is the the only time I detangle her hair is when it has some type of water moisture to it. Usually, I only detangle it while she's taking a bath, because this stuff has so much slip. When I put the grapeseed oil in it, it has so much slip that I just I don't even need to like detangle her hair. When I take the stuff out, I need to detangle it while it's in the bath um, because it's going to get detangled, it's not gon na hurt her at all, and it's just easy for the both of us. When I do her hair typically her. I do it while she's sleeping um or about to go to sleep. It is a bonding process for the both of us like when you do your baby's hair. It should never ever be a painful or dreaded process. It should be a bonding process for the both both of us, and I know that when I do her hair, I know she is gon na fall, asleep um, because you just feels so good and it's so soothing for her. When I'm doing a braids. I don't do anything tight. I try to do it as Loose as possible. I still try to get the hairstyle, but I try to get it to be as Loose as possible. So um, I'm gon na just go ahead and talk about my styling tools. This is the brush that I use. This is the brush that I got from my baby shower. I don't know where I got it from, but it's a very soft brush, and typically I just use it to like brush down her edges. Just like that see she likes it when she likes getting her hair done, but usually I use it to brush her as edges. Now. This is the comb that came with the brush and I don't use this comb at all um. I don't even know why I still have it like this comb is so fine that it would not. It serves no purpose, because all it is gon na do is break baby's hair off. So I don't use this comb at all um, but what I will use is this comb and I typically I use this side. Sometimes. I really use this side because her hair is already detangled during the wash process. I'Ll use this side to help part the hair and let you see how she grabs the comb. You want to be careful when you have these Combs around the baby, because um she's at the face now, where she's exploring everything and she wants to put everything in her mouth. So when you have like these type of objects around just be very, very careful is the comb that I used to detangle her hair is the comb is made by goodie, I detangle it and when I'm doing hairstyles like this - and I just want to kind of Detangle it a little bit. This is the comb that I use um actually for babies, this young, it's really hard to find just a conditioner in the future. Maybe, when she's about one I'll, probably switch her shampoo, um and I'll probably only co-wash her hair, but this is the closest thing that I found to be able to co-wash her hair with. So that's pretty much it. It'S very simple um. If you guys want me to show you how to how I actually do her hair um, just let me know it's very difficult to make a video like that. But I'll try and I say it's only difficult because when I'm doing her, hair, um, she's typically I'll, show you guys what it looks like while I'm doing her hair. This is typically the position that I do her hair with and she's out of the shower and she's already laid down, while I'm doing her hair and I'm sitting on the couch. I'M not sitting like this, so she's typically like this, and that's why I say you have to keep those clips handy because, if she's in a moment where she's like this and I'm doing her hair, I have to clip it down and keep it in place. Um. But it's a bonding process for both of us and she likes it just as much as I like it and that's pretty much it so if you guys have any questions, feel free to ask and thanks for watching, say, bye, bye-bye say: bye.

Savannah Lynn: HOW did you get her hair sooooo long??

girley011: Do you have a coconut oil regimen? I have a 3 month old and am trying to figure out how to maintain moisture and get her hair to stay thick and continue to grow. So my regimen right now is a DAILY one. My routine is too oil her scalp and hair with coconut oil (1 tsp or less) massaging it in for 3-5 minutes and sometimes right after or in the evening use a spray bottle with EVOO and water to moisturize her hair. I'm not sure if she needs a few spritzs or sprays. Her hair seems soft but dry. I used shea butter to get more moisture and she is allergic to it. Her scalp broke out and was red, hot and puss-filled. So I don't used shea on her at all anywhere. Her texture is changing slightly. She still has a full head of hair but I notice the oils and water make her hair more curly than normal (shrinkage I think). I would say her texture is a 3c/4a. She needs moisturizing because her hair is parched. Ow and she doesn't have a bald spot at the back of her head. It is just thinner than the rest of her hair. I am only washing her hair once a week now because of she had bad cradle cap which the coconut oil eliminated and she still has severe eczema. I basically want to know what your thoughts are on this regimen and if you had anything to add to help Thanks! Your daughter is beautiful!!!

Quinn Oats: My baby is bald on the back of her head.. Her hair is really dry so I really got to try your mixtures!!! I had to subscribe!! Thanks a lot..
