Hey guys today, I'm just going to show you all how I braid my baby, boy's hair. So Isaiah is five months now and his hair has grown out quite a bit. But as you can see here, he is going through that that hair loss phase that babies go through. So here you see a little bulb some baldness here and some baldness right here on the other side of his head, but I'm trying to attain his hair right now, so his hair is long and it's just sticks out like weeds and stuff. So I kind of braid it up a little bit just to keep it maintained as much as I can. So I just wanted to show you all how I do that and the products I use. It'S coconut oil. So I use the coconut oil on his hair and I'm the only products that I do usually use our only oils and butters so um. Here we put a little um coconut oil in his hair. His hair has been um pre-washed already, so I'm doing this on pre washed hair, so just take a little bit of the coconut oil and kind of distribute it all through his hair. As much as I can - and I do put more attention on the bald area when it come with the holes that I put in his hair, so I also use castor oil, and this is 100 % pure castor oil - that I got from my regular beauty. Supply store so um. I got this especially for his bald bald spots so that I could help his hair grow back in a little bit or keep it under control. The doctor said is something that's normal baby having babies having hair loss and that um, it's just the OL hair, that's coming out and it will be replaced with new hair. So I put a little bit of that cast all on his hair, especially on the bald areas. I really pay attention to that to the bald areas, because I just do not like how that looks, but visit me, the hair will grow back. So guys, don't worry when you see here on your newborn or your baby's on hair come out. It does that's something. That'S natural and it's going to happen em, but their hair will grow back so um. If you want to get that cast all I would suggest you get get that castor oil so that, because castor oil is a good oil that helps with hair growth. So, that's why I got it so here I'm just going to a part, his hair on the side and just brush his hair. Back now, as there seems to have loose wavy hair so um, I don't think it will be. You'Ll have tight, curly hair at all, but we'll see because I'll continue to make videos on his hair journey. So you guys please remember to subscribe so that you don't miss any of the videos, so I've just brushed that side down guys. I have to do his hair while he's sleep, because otherwise he will not stay still. If he's awakened I'm trying to do his hair so um, I can only do a while he's sleep. So that's why I have him laid across my lap like that. Cuz he's sleep right now and it's the only way I could do his hairs when he sleep the ELMO comb and brush set that I'm using. I found that at the dollar store. Actually, if you are wondering, because you want to be very gentle when you're you know doing your babies here, just be as gentle as you can, especially when they're going through that hair loss phase and please guys don't use a hair rig on their hair. Like hair grease like blue magic or Crown Royal and ultra Sheen, Greece's attracts dirt and lint really fast and causes on their hair to knot up easily. So we don't to avoid that only use oils and butters on the baby's hair and your hair as well. So I'm just finishing parting, his hair here and I just brushed down the parts that I'm not going to be braiding because I'm only going to be braiding the the top a top middle part of his hair. That'S where he has most of the of his hair and growth you. So I just make sure I brush down on all the sides in the back part that I'm what be braiding, that's usually what i do and then i take shea butter and i used that for his braids and that's an alternative that you can use. Instead of hair grease for braiding, so this is on this tub right here runs about five to six dollars at your local hair supply store and the tub. This particular tub will last you for months, so it's um a pretty good deal. I got to make sure them. Sides are down y'all. I know it seem like I'm brushing a lot, so I'm just combing out the the area that I'll be braiding. First, you you. So I just take a little bit of that share butter in my hand and then start to braid, and this um. The shea butter helps keep the braid in place and helps it stay in longer. I find that it helps on the braids staying longer, with his hair being so soft. Okay, sometimes on the braids, will come loose, so the share gon na does help keep his brains in longer, and I don't grate too tight. As you can see, you don't want to braid too tight, then it causes too much tension and therefore causes more hair loss. So if you are braiding your baby's hair and everything, please do not bring it too tight. You you, okay guys so here's the completed look, and I just um when I finish braiding them all. I just kind of like curl the ends back up, but here's the completed look. I hope you guys enjoyed this video and that you found it helpful to you. Please guys don't forget to subscribe if you want, if you like, to see more videos on how I take care of my baby boys hair thanks for watching guys, see in my next video you

Prophet Smith: I have a 5 month old and braided his hair the other day. It has gotten so long and like she said it just sticks up and looks crazy. It's our kids!

Rahimah Unwrapped: Omg this brought back memories when I was 9 and my niece was a newborn. I used to put her on my knees like that and she would go to sleep...so cute. She's 11 now and almost my height Good job on your baby's hair

Sisterjoon: This is great.when my brother was a new born my mom would do finger coils and it is the cutest thing ever

Cristina P.: He will forever be soothed by someone playing in his hair. Nothing like a loving mama's touch

Marsades curley: She didn’t braid it tight. That baby is just fine. I’d be worried about stress if she was being harsh... my 5 month old has a head of really thick long hair. Nothing wrong with taking care of your babies hair.

Jazmine Lashe: He’s so calm my son was acting crazy

Royalty aka Tweety pie: He's being so good. I think he's enjoying it.

Terrence & Jammie's Journey: My 5 month old twin boys have so much hair, I definitely need to start braiding it.

Brianda Robinson: This is just talent!!!!! I know your son is 1 now but I needed help to braid my son's hair. He's 10 months about to be 11 months next week. He has tight coils like me but that good hair like his dad. I mostly just brush the hair that's not long enough yet down and the rest that's long I comb it. A lot of people think I cut his hair because of how his hair grew into a fro hawk. This is very helpful. I'm going to have to study this video to get better. But I love this thank you for it.

Danessia Clark: Thank you my lil one is 6mths now and I’m trying to learn how to help his hair grow and style it other than a Afro lol

luna lite: Nice job, best to do while they sleep thanx for the tip

Space Bunny: Lmaoo I think it's just the fact he's 5 months and not a lot of ppl see that everyday im not gonna lie i was like "wtf...why?" But then at the same time, it's her baby, let him get them protective styles

YoNasir: Dang yo baby is tough every time I watch a kid braid tutorial they cry your baby was sleeping like an angel

Defining Shasia: I started braiding my son hair at this age too. Coconut oil and water was the only stuff I used until he was 9-10 months. He is almost a year and I use Cantu conditioner.

Pure Area51: So she is taking care of her baby and making sure he look presentable and it’s an issue cause he is 5 months old? You can’t when for losing with effn Americans!! Great job mommy for taking care of your babies and keep up the good work.

Mrs. Nine: I don't see why people are complaining about you taking care of your son. Lol. SMH. The way some females have their babies out looking all raggedy. Pshhh. I'm on here cause my 5 month old needs a new style. Keep it up sis.

YANIE BABIE: I don't think we should braid his hair added stress

Riana Haynes: That is so cute ur baby is gorgeous

King JL: That is so cute y'all leave dis lady alone

Crafty Beans: Guys, she’s not even braiding that tight. I think it’s a great idea to braid his hair in a protective way. If it really hurt him he’d be crying. And for all those people who think he has bald spots because of the braiding, you’re wrong. All babies go through this stage, it’s called balding. When babies are around this age, they start shedding their hair and growing thicker healthier hair. That’s why you’d THINK his hair is damaged from braiding.

1katthouse: Stimulation promotes hair growth

Empress Lioness: At first I was kinda sceptical like "oh no sis watchu doin" but u can literally see how she's taking her time and really light with her hands..

Ja. niahh: Who braids a 5 month olds hair ?

Maddie&KenKen 2x: And I didn’t say his hair was stupid soo READ and he’s a very strong and Beautiful and Bright baby

Tiany G: My son 5month with alot of hair and no bald spots and im thinking bout putting plats in it.Hell

Chocolate Donut Thunder: Do u think those braids are adding to his bald spots or he just never grew hair there?  Just leave it alone.  Don't braid or stress it too much and it will grow.  You'll see.  He's precious.

The Viral Channel: I love this but please be careful of some products we use on our babies. My daughter hair dropped out on some of these natural hair products. She's doing a great job but just be careful on adult products we use on babies.

Victoria Rooms: My son has sooo much long hair and i want to braid it. Hes 5m, but he has way more than your little guy. How could i do it with longer hair?
