Hi, I'm Michelle Simone and I'm a hair stylist and today I'm going to show you a way to wear your hair for a ballet recital if you have short hair. So what I'm going to start with is a nice side, part in her hair, I'm just taking a tail comb and making a nice straight line for ballet recitals. Obviously, you want precision so make sure it's a really clean straight line and comb it down and then the trick with short hair is to use a really good pomade. I have one that has a little bit of a wet look to it, but it has a nice strong, hold and typically you'd have a bun in your hair for a ballet recital. But if you have really short hair and you can't get into a bun take, I would take the product and I get a good amount of it into my hand and then just rub it around your fingertips so that it's evenly distributed and run it through your Hair right now, it's not going to look like much we're just going to run it through make sure that your hair is saturated with the product rubbing it through your fingers. So you don't get it all globby and then rub it through your hair. Once you think, you've got enough product in to make it really sleek take a fine-tooth comb and then start combing it through. This is going to really stick your hair right to your head, because you want no piece out: no flyaways, I'm just combing it backwards. If you're getting flyways towards the top just put a little bit of product on your finger and smooth it out that way, you'll get all of the flyaways and comb it through. If you get a glob once you have all of your hair slicked back, if you have even shorter hair, you can leave it at this point and just let that be, and then I would spray it all over with hairspray as much as you can, because you Want to make sure that while you're dancing, it doesn't come out of place, but if you have a little bit of extra hair at the bottom, try taking it and try taking the hair and twisting it upwards from the bottom. We'Re going to make this twist. All the way along the bottom, pinning as we go, that's going to keep all of your hair in and keep it in place once you've gotten across the bottom you're going to go ahead and do the same thing in the opposite direction. So now I'm going to take the right side and twist it down pulling the hair tight and then twisting upwards from the bottom grabbing as much hair as you can and as you go put a few pins in it. Okay, so once you've pinned your last pins, this is your final look here. You have a nice sleek hairstyle for a ballet recital. If you have short hair
